I am extremely pleased with the service provided by Modern Quality Flooring. They took our original wood floors that were nearly 100 years old and made them look brand new. Danny is an expert in his field and worked diligently to complete the job on schedule. He kept me up to date on his progress every step of the way and the end result exceeded my highest expectation. I highly recommend Modern Quality Flooring as a reliable, fair priced option for any wood floor refinishing project.

My experience with Modern Quality Flooring Co. on the job was very good. The work was excellent. They were responsive. They cleaned up. We barely saw them. We actually left for a week while they were just starting their work but they worked around our schedule at a busy time. What stood out to me the most with Modern Quality Flooring Co. was the fact that they were willing to come at a strange hour on the day after Christmas in order to be here before we left for our trip. With the coupons, they are certainly an A for price.

They refinished our back family room and dining room floors. In addition to the refinishing they replaced a few boards. They completed the work in one day. They did a great job and got a big stain out of the wood that we were not expecting to get out. They floors look great.

It turned out okay. It was just the minimal amount of work. I don't think they went the extra mile on it. They did an acceptable job for the money. They charged exactly what they said they were going to charge. They did what they said they were going to.

Both jobs were done on time and exceeded our expectations.

Danny came over when I purchased a $99.00 Angie's List Deal. He inspected the damage, explained that sanding would not fix the problem because the floor was wet and warping. He cut a 2' x 4' hole in the floor and had me run a dehumidifier for 30 days to draw out the water and dry the wood. Danny's crew came on the 18th and pulled out all of the bad boards, changed the floor insulation (which I purchased at his direction), and then sanded and stained the floor. On the 19th Danny and his crew came back, resanded the floor and recoated the area. This morning the floor is beautiful and matches our existing floor perfectly!! I recommend Modern Quality Flooring to anyony looking for repairs to be done correctly, promptly, and at a fair price.

It went great. It took the guys two days. They were friendly and efficient. My husband is very happy with the results in his new, improved office.

Danny came out to provide estimate. He informed us that we would not be able to just do the area with scratches but would have to do the entire first floor (which would be three additional rooms). He provided estimate to move furniture and do entire floor. We do not want to go through the expense and bother of moving all the furniture and hassle of refinishing the entire first floor.

Danny and his team arrived right on the dot. When we came back in two days later, it was as if they'd installed new floors, not just sanded and finished the old ones! There was no dust ANYwhere. The smell was minimal; I'm very sensitive to fumes and chemicals, and had no problem being here the next day. They even refinished the door jambs going in and out of the house, and detailed the areas under the sliding closet doors. This was all done during the winter (due to our timing), so doors and windows had to be kept closed, too. A beautiful job, and excellent to work with.

Excellent experience. They were able to finish the job in one day. Reasonable price compared to other contractors considering there was quite a bit of hand sanding involved. The floors look great.

MQF did a great job. The floors look great and the guys were so careful. I did not find one scratch on the toe kick, baseboards or cabinets. And I looked hard. The smell was minimal since I went with the water based poly. I did not spend one night out of the house. Entire job took just two days. Much better experience and result than prior floor refinishings. These guys know their stuff.

I bought the big deal, which got me introduced to this company. The owner was very responsible, communicative and prompt. We negotiated a price for the entire damaged two floors, including the kitchen. He was very up front. The floors were really messed up due to the sellers' big dog. I stayed away while they were working, but I stuck my head in to check up on it. They did a great job of being timely (sooner and faster than I expected), protecting the place and my things, moving the furniture for me, communicating and locking up. The owner checked in regularly and fulfilled out agreements completely. They even polished up the stairs (I didn't have the budget to do those, too( and fixed a damaged riser for me as a favor. The floors look absolutely beautiful. He did such a great job. The price was fair. I'd recommend the service and would use it again.

The owner Danny was very good to match the color to match my other floor. I also had the stairs sanded to the uptairs. The stain is beautiful matches perfectly with my first floor. Danny was very helpful and they did an excellent job. They are very detailed oriented, superb work! They are very polite and on time, very hard workers. I would recommend them to everyone.

PROs: -very prompt in contacting me and scheduling -very clean, no mess at all. Put up plastic and was virtually dustless -floors turned out beautiful. Had me check the progress as it went -gave me a price at the beginning at that was it. CONs: -I would have preferred if they came first (a week prior) to give total estimate (I bought a special but knew it would be more) and to have a better feel for what to expect for the entire job

It was a very negative experience, and I was extremely disappointed. Specifically, they used a water-based sealant which left the floors looking flat, and the discounted price wasn't really a discount at all.

DANNY WAS POLITE, BUT STATED THAT PRICE DID NOT COVER SANDING AND REFINISHING, THAT WOULD COST 1750.00 MORE HE, I WOULD BE BETER OFF IF I JUST GOT THE FLOOR BUFFED AND 1 COTE OF FINISH FOR EXTRA 418.00 AND I WOULD HAVE TO PAY FOR STAIN.

My experience with them was very good, it was excellent. They did a really good, cleaned up after themselves and did a really nice job. They were very professional, took their time, did a beautiful job especially on one of the bedrooms that had pretty roughed up floor from the kids when they were younger. they did put a brand new floor. They have higher price compared to other companies.

Danny was a pleasure to work with. We were nervous about the limited timeframe we had to refinish our floors before our move-in date, and he was extremely helpful and responsive, and was even able to begin work 3 days earlier than anticipated on short notice. This expedited the process for us. Also, his team did an exceptional job on the floors with great attention to detail, even going the extra mile to have the handrails match and buff out some imperfections. Also, we had a wall in the home removed a day or so earlier, and he took great care to replace the baseboard which the earlier contractor hadn't been able to do for us. Danny is polite, responsive, and his pricing is competitive. We are really glad we found him on Angies List and would certainly recommend him to anyone who is looking to refinish their floors.

I met with several contractors to get pricing on refinishing the hardwood floors in a rental apartment that we are rehabbing. Modern Quality Flooring was both the most professional and best price of the bunch. Danny came out to the jobsite quickly to measure for the job and got me a price within about 2 days. I specified that I would provide the finishing materials because I wanted to use an eco-friendly urethane product. Danny had no problem using the material even though his crew had not used it before. His price was for labor only, including patching holes, sanding, and refinishing. I scheduled the start date 4 weeks ahead of time. The day before they were scheduled to start, Danny called and explained that the previous job was running long and to see if he could push me back a couple days. This was no problem for me, and since I have experience with construction jobs of all sizes, I understood that it happens all the time, so we rescheduled. He did make it known that had it been an issue he would have made it happen as per our original agreement. The crew sanded the floors, filled the holes, and put down the first coat on the first day, which was a full work day. Came back for the 2nd coat on day two (took only a couple hours), and the same on the 3rd day to finish up. The job looks great. Will contact Modern Quality again for the next hardwood flooring job.

I had to postpone several times and Danny was very flexible. He went to the effort to bring personally a sample of the wood to be used, so I could preview the color. He always returned calls quickly and answered questions quickly. He gave me very explicit details on what I needed to do to prepare. I over prepared, putting sheets over all the furniture in the adjoining room. There was no need. They were very clean, efficient, and worked steadily to complete the job in half a day. They cleaned up after themselves, and there was virtually no dust in other areas of the house. They were responsive, hard workers, who listened to my requests, checking with Danny with any questions, who answered them immediately. They returned the next morning to install the quarter round, taking about an hour. The deal was $999 for 200 sq ft of wooden flooring, installed. Removing carpet, staples, installing thresholds, and quarter round added another $590. The floor is sparkling and exquisite, with no squeaks, which they were concerned about since they could not get to the floor underneath to find the joists. They used longer nails, and walking on the floor is less squeaky than walking on the carpet. I am very impressed with the quality and attention to detail, and the final product. I recommend them highly.

Modern Quality Flooring did a very good job. Danny and his crew were extremely hard working. The job took longer than he expected but that was partly because the stairs were harder to do than originally thought. To his credit, he kept the same honored price. I trusted Danny and his crew in my place when we weren't there. Danny has a very good knowledge of his craft and took the time to explain the process to us. I would hire him again.

Danny and his crew were great! They patched and refinished all the hardwood floors in my apartment. Danny arrived on time for the initial appointment and when the work began each day. My wife and I were blown away with how well the floors came out. We had a pet stain in our living room from the previous owners. After Danny completed the floors we could not tell where the spot was prior. My brother came over and asked did we have new floors installed. Danny is very knowledgable and highly skilled with hardwood floors and just a great person to be around. I would recommend him to anyone looking to have there floors done. Danny and his crew were very professional and polite. They were there at the time he said they would arrive and they set up protective barriers so other rooms would not get dust in them. They had to repair several areas of the floor which had pet and water stains, and they did a very good job replacing the wood and making it look natural. They finished the job in two days, so we were able to put the rooms back together right away. I would recommend this company to anyone needing wood floor work.
