Danny was professional from start to finish. He was extremely responsive, flexible is his availability to come for a quote, and the team performed all of their work on time. The house looked brand new by the time they were finished! On top of everything, we were surprised to see that the team had sanded and stained the floor of a large closet that wasn't included in the original quote, at no cost to us. My only complaint is that they would not stain the bannister on the stairway, so that will be a project for us to complete on our own.

Everything went perfect from the first consultation to the final work. We weren't sure if we needed to have the floors completely refinished or just screened, but Danny was honest with me and told me that a polish would refresh the floors and and full refinish was unnecessary. I appreciated his honesty and how fantastic the final product was. Our floors look so fresh and new and we definitely didn't need to spend the extra money on a full refinish. Even the areas that had deeper scratches look great (although one is still visible, but not bothersome - Danny did let me know it probably would not come out because of how deep it was). I had to tell my husband which stair was replaced because they did such a great job matching the stain. The work took approximately 5 hours to complete and we could walk on the floors with socks the next day which worked perfect with our move in timeline. Overall, great experience!

They were prompt. I had plan to match my existing floor but their products did not appear to be a good match- disappointing. They were in a hurry and they were not happy that I failed to completely empty the room. We went ahead. It was finished with a good final result.

Danny was great to work with. Would recommend him and his team highly. His team arrived on time and were polite and hard working. The hardwood floors in the living room were very stained and did not think they could be sanded enough to remove the stains. After they sanded the floors they looked great. Very pleased. It was dust free. They applied a natural wood stain and it came out beautiful. Would use Danny and his team again in the future.

Danny was great to work with and I would recommend him to any of my friends and family. He wasn't our cheapest estimate, but we went with him because of his responsiveness and knowledgeability. We had a hard time picking a stain color, but he was very patient and put down as many samples as we needed to make a decision. His team was on time and worked with us on a tight schedule. He even gave me advice on how to refinish the stair bannisters myself (I had decided to do that myself due to cost). Our floors really look brand new! We're very glad we decided to hire Modern Quality Flooring.

Danny was terrific to work with and the floors look like new. His team arrived on schedule and completed the job in less time than expected allowing us to get our house back in order for the work week. His team put plastic over the kitchen cabinets and there was very little dust. Left no trace of job related trash and Danny even helped me move a few heavy items after the walk through.

Did a beautiful job. Terrible floor (rehab project) looks almost new. Polite, hardworking, and and punctual. Second time using them and both were excellent experiences. Will use them again in the future. Very pleased.

First off, we could not be happier with the work that Danny and his crew did. We recently bought a house and it had hardwood floors in about half of the downstairs. The two main criteria for our contractor search was that they used dustless sanders and could complete the job in our tight timeline before we moved in. I set up three highly rated contractors to come out and give estimates on installing the hardwood floors and refinishing the remaining hardwood floors to match. One company no-showed which left two. The other company initially was about $500 less than Danny. However, the difference in price was that the other company didn't include covering the kitchen cabinets and appliances with plastic and removal of the old carpet. After those were put into their price, it was very close. Danny, on the other hand, explained everything and included the obvious things (like removing the old carpet). He also took extra time to explain the finer details of what he would do (like framing in the fireplace, etc), so we went with him. Every time I met with Danny throughout the process, he explained what he was doing and made sure my questions were answered. Him and his crew worked very hard and actually finished two days ahead of the initial schedule. His crew were quick, diligent, and very detail oriented. Initially I was concerned with the amount of dust that would be flying all over and settling throughout the house. The way they used the dustless sanders and had industrial vacuums running while the other sanders were being used kept the flying dust down to an absolute minimum. When it came time for stain, Danny listened to what we (really my wife) wanted and put down several samples in different parts of the house so we could see how they would look in various lightings. That helped the tremendously in making the decision on stain. Once that was chosen, it only took more days for them to complete the project. In the end, the floors look STUNNING! We could not give a higher recommendation to Danny and his crew.

Summary: I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY. My maple floors look like new. The job was done professionally, on-schedule, and at a reasonable price. Very high levels of quality, care, and service. Details: I engaged Modern Quality Flooring to refinish the maple floors in my townhome. Of the vendors I contacted, Danny was the only one who took the time to actually come to my home, look at the floors and scope of the project, and provide me a written estimate. Consequently, he was able to fine-tune the quote and make it the most economical choice for me. On the initial day of the two-day project, his crew arrived on-time and Danny was right behind them. He supervised all of the prep work that needed to be done, including covering all cabinets, moving light furniture, and sealing off doorways. He even provided a quick sanding/sample of what the finished floors would look like. He returned later in the day to monitor the project's progress. At the conclusion of the project on Day Two, the crew cleaned thoroughly so that no residual dust was left. The floors turned out beautiful......like brand new. What impressed me was that not only was the crew very thorough and skilled, but Danny stayed engaged and oversaw the entire project. Great professionalism! The final product was very high quality and reasonable in price.....a very good value proposition. I would use this company again and highly recommend them.

It went well. Everything was done in a professional manner. They were extremely detailed and did a great job. Couldn't be any happier with the end-result. Danny, the owner, is very passionate about the work he and his crew perform. He took the time to make sure everything was done correctly and also made sure / provided direction on other projects going on the house that may affect the flooring. Excellent job - the old flooring looks brand new and the stain came out great.

Refinish of badly marred 61 y.o. oak floor with 35 y.o.pet stains.. Exceeded all expectations. Arrived early, came in on budget, downtime on use of rooms as predicted. Did a couple of small "ups" (repairs) at no additional charge. Responded to questions quickly and clearly. Quality of the result is excellent. Cost was far from the highest bid, but above the lowest. Crew was very conscientious and wanted to make sure we were happy at each step. Very efficient, neat, careful, clean. Knew what they were doing. No detectable dust after sanding. Put down 8 stain samples or our floor for us to choose from so we knew exactly what we would get. In other words, no surprises. .

It went very well. Danny is a good communicator and very responsive. Out of all the flooring guys I phoned form angies list he was the only one that I got in touch with. I needed the job doing on a very tight deadline and they accommodated this and got the job done. The team is very friendly and professional. The job was done well and they even helped me finish a couple of other small flooring jobs I was working on in the house. It was definitely a great experience.

I've hired Danny to refinish the whole first floor of my house. At first, his price looked much higher than the competitors and I was almost close to give the business to somebody else. But then I did some research for the products he uses for the finish and the stain-and I've changed my mind completely. Danny uses the top of the line finishing product which cost 3-4 times more than the ones your regular flooring guy would offer you. This product would actually make your newly refinished floors to withstand wear and tear for years longer as opposed to generic products. That said, if you compare the estimates-you need to make sure you compare apples to apples. When I've asked another companies to update their quotes which would include the same products Danny uses-all came in 30% higher than Modern Quality Flooring, which made my choice clear. Danny was very responsive and came to give me an estimate the same day I've contacted him. Which is very important if you are on a tight construction schedule. The job has been done on schedule; no delays; no mess, completely professionally I would hire Danny again for sure and definitely recommend his services to anybody.

Danny came out to give me an estimate within a day or two after my initial call. He measured, took notes, asked questions, answered questions. A few days later he e-mailed me my estimate, and followed up a few days after that. In the meantime, I had another company come out for a quote. He measured, did some calculations, and wrote out an estimate on a pad of paper he had with him. Couldn?t give me a copy, so I had to take a picture of it with my phone. His price was about $500.00 less than Danny. However - Danny got my business because of his professionalism. He took the time to prepare a detailed quote, outlining what the project would entail. 3 days for the living room, dinning room, 2 closet & 2 hallway floors to be sanded & refinished with 3 coats of stain, new quarter round stained & installed, and any repairs needed. We scheduled the job for June 22. They showed up early, got right to work. A few minor repairs were needed. They worked hard and quickly and were able to give a second coat of finish at the end of day 1. Day 2, they installed the stained quarter round, appplied the 3rd coat and finished early. Danny advised me on how long to wait before waking on it, when to put the furniture back, and also recommended a few cleaners to use.

I was impressed with the work that Danny and his crew did on our house. Not as responsive via email, but very responsive via phone/text. Came in for the estimate and didn't BS me. Took measurements and got back to me with the quote. He was very transparent about the process and how long it would take. Actually got the job done sooner than promised. The floors look great! Did a really nice job on the bannisters and railings which are a tedious task. I would absolutely recommend Danny to my friends.

Modern Quality Flooring is the BEST when it comes to Quality, Customer Service, Affordability and Professionalism! We could not be more pleased with the way our floors turned out...they are gorgeous! We recently purchased an older home and the wood floors were in really bad shape. There were nail holes all over the floor and several very large black stains on the wood. Danny was extremely knowledgeable when he came to the house for the estimate. He was very familiar with the differenttypes of woods, and how the different stains would react to the wood. He was very responsive, courteous and polite before he started the job, while he was working at the house, and after he finished. He was very prompt on the first day,finished a day earlier than anticipated and he even drove to our apartment on a Friday night to drop off the key after he was finished with the work! The floors are unbelievably beautiful, I cannot stop staring at them they are so gorgeous! The big black stains are totally gone, and the nail holes are all filled, and look immaculate. Truthfully, the floors look better than new, and I could not be more pleased with Danny and Modern Quality Flooring. I will most certainly recommend Modern Quality Flooring to anyone looking to refinish their floors, and I will certainly use them for any future flooring needs that I have. They are fantastic!

The floors turned out very well. We didn't have any dust to speak of. We did have to spend an overnight at a hotel with our kitties due to the fumes. Overall a good experience and price.

I needed to have some parts of my hardwood replaced after some water damage, then have my whole condo's hardwood sanded and restained. Danny was responsive and courteous throughout the whole process, and the price seemed very fair compared to what the insurance adjuster had provided in a check for damage to my flooring. Danny and his guys were prompt and did the work in the amount of time he'd anticipated. And most importantly, floor looks fantastic! I was call on the day of appointment to reschedule to an earlier time. Measurement was done for the installation of bamboo flooring. Due to miscommunication with a wrong email address, I never heard back for the quote or estimation.
