We were stuck as our washer/dryer water lines were out of service. David showed up in 20 minutes and went right to work on fixing the problem. Sort time later all was fixed so the flooring crew could get back to. I feel so fortunate to have David as our plumber and friend. Thank you David!!

Went great!  We called Dave and he was on vacation, but still called back the next day.  Explained our problem over the phone, he had us send him some pictures, and he knew what to do.  Worked with us nicely on the date, he picked up the necessary parts to fix, showed up and got it done!  This was a Grohe water mixing valve (hot and cold mix) for two of our showers, and some related fixing.  Very happy with the work, very happy with his professionalism and write-up.  Will call them again when we have plumbing needs!

We have used David twice for plumbing issues.  He gets back to you promptly and will work with your schedule.  He replaced our kitchen faucet and answered some other questions we had.  He is very professional and gets the job done right.  We will definitely use David in the future for our plumbing needs.  Would definitely recommend Padula Plumbing.

I've used David before on large jobs.   This was a really small job, so not a big deal, but he's been good about giving me advice over the phone at no charge in the past.  He's quick and efficient and seems trustworthy.  This last job, considering how small it was, was expensive, but that's probably typical for the plumbing business.

Had no hot water and was referred to Padula Plumbing. Dave was out within a couple hours. He had experience with similar houses in the neighborhood and knew to check a poor connection instead of replacing the whole unit. I appreciate his honesty and professionalism.

Because the outside problem was resolved there was no further action on my part.  Because he failed to resolve the split in the pipe on the inside, for the past 3+ months water has slowly down the wall, into a large closet space with storage. Leakage is also halfway across the finished basement.  There is excessive mold in not only the closet but on the carpet.  The estimate to replace the pipe by a new plumber is $450 which involves cutting into drywall in the upstairs living-room to access the faulty pipe. This does not include replacing dry wall and repainting.
The basement damage was assessed by a restoration company and includes removing mold and drywall, removing half of the carpeting and drying out the large area.  Cost estimate is $5000.00.
Have not determined cost of replacing Berber carpeting in the basement ripping out the old and installation.
At this time it is unclear the value of the items stored in the closet that were damaged.
Padula Plumbing came out when I called to report the issue.  David Padula did not take ownership of his error but instead blamed it on the builder.  The home was built in 2001.  I got a sermon from him on how the pipe was too short to begin with.  Mine is one of six attached towmhomes none of which have any similar issues.
I asked again for the original invoice, he did not have a record of when he came out so sent me an email invoice ball-parking it to be sometime in May, 2014.

Response from Padula Plumbing Inc.
"I was called out to repair a leaking sillcock on the front porch, it was dripping so I rebuilt the stem and tested it. The repair held and wasn't what caused the damage inside. The sillcock had burst at some point which wasn't noticed because I wasn't called out to check that. A burst sillcock only leaks when water is running through it…because I ran water for such a short time to test the repaired stem, the leak didn’t show up. I went to the owners house the day after she called about the water damage and explained this and what may have caused the sillcock to burst in the first place, this was the “sermon”. I explained that the sillcock was originally installed without being pitched towards the exterior, which is the proper way to install it. I also explained that the sillcock should have been a longer model so the point where the water shuts off is inside the heated space of the basement, not inside the box joist where it could freeze. If the sillcock was burst before I was at the house for the original service call obviously I didn't have anything to do with it, explaining this was taken as me trying to “blame the builder”. I told her to have the insurance adjuster call me so we could talk about the incident and decide who was responsible; I never got a call from anyone. She emailed me for my insurance agents name and number and I told her to have her insurance rep call me for it so I could explain it to him also, she said that’s not how it works and I didn’t hear anything else about it, at this point it sounded like a fraudulent claim if she wasn’t willing to go through the proper channels. It is unfortunate that the leak wasn’t apparent when I was there and there was damage to the carpet and drywall but it is unrelated to the work I was called out to do. I take full ownership of work that I do at any residence and warranty my work for one year without question."

David did a great job.   He answered when I called and gave me an estimate based on my description of the issue.    Once we agreed to a time he arrived on time.  The job was done in the time he quoted and within the price.   The sink is now clog free.  I have been looking for a plumber in this area for quite some time and am glad I finally found a service that I can trust.   I did call 3 other plumbers.  Two didn't call back (Bears vs Packers game going on) and the other quoted me double the price.  I have already recommended him to my neighbors who need some work done.

This was a very good experience for us overall.  Dave does high quality work and he is very reliable.  We don't have the money to complete the bathroom right now, so Dave installed all the necesary components to complete the bathroom when we're ready. (rough in)

After recently moving to MN from IL I had a bad experience with a plumber that I found online to fix a leak I have that is coming from my tub and leaking into my basement ceiling tiles. This caused me to purchase the Angie?s List membership, but also made me appreciate the plumber that I had been using in IL, which is why I decided to write this review.

Dave Padula was recommended to me by my step father, and I used him on three different occasions. He is very knowledgeable, and most of all I found him to be extremely honest and fair in his pricing. He doesn?t seem like someone who will try push unnecessary replacement parts or equipment, and he gets the work done quickly.  I had a reoccurring issue with a toilet caused by the use of a large houseguest, and Dave took the extra time to teach me how I could do the repair by myself without a plumber.re

Padula Plumbing did an excellent job and they were easy to work with.  They worked full days, one after another, until the job was done.    The lead plumber Dave is very knowledgeable and provided good suggestions.   All the work passed permit inspection.    Highly recommended.
