Description of Work: I had seepage in the basement and the drain was filled to the top. The first plumber I called told me he had to rip up my floor to find the main line, and install a cap. The minimum price would be $4,000. He told me to think about it and left, not even attempting to rod out the drain. I joined Angie's List after that and called Permidt. The lady on the phone was extremely personable and knew all about plumbing. She had a plumber come out very shortly. He checked the basement and then opened up the cap out in the front and said I only needed to have the pipes rodded. He showed me the water down in the pipe. He could have said yeah, the guy was right, and offer to do it for a couple of hundred less. I will call this company again if needed and do recommend them.

Description of Work: We were having trouble with the sump pump constantly cycling on and not stopping. Concerned that the motor might burn out, called two plumbers. First one came out and gave an involved estimate that included much of what we did not need (as it turns out) costing over $1,000. The other (Permidt, who we had used before) came out, changed out the switching device and done! It's been working fine since then.

+ -1 moreThe girl that I spoke to over the phone with was good and they seemed to be very responsive. I have used them now for two years and have only had them screw up just once but they came right back to fix it at no charge so they made good on their word.
Description of Work: Two plumbers installed a wash basin and shortly there after, they returned to locate a hot and cold supply pipe. They were here for about twenty minutes to a half an hour to complete the work. The price was per visit and based on their minimum hourly charge.

+ -1 moreThe owner was very responsive and one of the few that actually came out and talked to me about my problem. I felt that the proposal was pretty sketchy. I would have liked a little more detail on the size of the pipe and how they were going to connect it.

+ -1 moreAs soon as kitchen demolition was complete, we were able to schedule the rough-in work next day, which was done sooner than expected. We noticed a problem the with water line location (our fault for not explaining the unusual sink base cabinet we had purchased) and they sent someone to correct it within an hour. After counters were installed, final hookups were scheduled for the next day, and again completed on time.
Description of Work: Relocation of kitchen sink as part of remodeling project. Rework/correction of plumbing in laundry room below kitchen.
