I had a very positive experience when Freedom came to inspect my furnace. It was making loud, weird noises and I was looking forward to peace of mind from the inspection. The tech right away encouraged me to ask questions, watch what he was doing, and stay engaged. He went point by point on the furnace and addressed all my questions. The furnace was old and likely on its last hurrah. He told me what needed to be replaced or repaired, a general cost, what to look out for, potential timing for needing to have the repair completed, etc. I never felt like I was being pushed to buy anything or have unnecessary work done. I could see for myself the inner workings were not a good scene and had a premonition of the system dying at the peak of -24 temps, so we discussed my options for a new furnace. I never saw dollar signs flashing in his eyes, and ultimately a new furnace cost quite a bit less than I expected, and he applied my Angie's List deal for the inspection to my new furnace purchase. He helped me understand my options for units, and he got the install scheduled for two weeks later. That, too, went well. Now I can sleep well at night knowing the furnace isn't about to start a fire or die, and it's quiet. Positive experiences like this are very encouraging.

Service went well. Technicians arrived in a timely manner. They described everything that would be done on the furnace and the check and flush of the hot water heater.

the guy said we need to replace our furnace IMMEDIATELY, which may or may not be the case. we are going to be replacing it in the near future, anyway. their price to replace the unit was quite high though.

They came on time, inspected and cleaned the furnace and confirmed that everything was in working order.

I'm a first time home owner and this was my first ever furnace cleaning and inspection. Sean was great. He was patient and didn't mind me hovering over his shoulder asking questions. He took his time and explained everything he was doing. Sean also gave me some tips and advice about common problems and how to avoid/fix them. It would be easy for someone like this to not educate a customer on how to fix simple issues in the hopes of getting another service call. I'm 1000% confident if I ever need someone to come out for HVAC that I'll use Freedom Heating and Cooling!

The service representative, Sean was stellar. He found the cause for the heater not starting (a clogged condensate drain pipe of the inducer motor), cleaned it up and cleaned the furnace and checked. But he did not charge for the clean and check, only the service. I am very happy with their prompt and efficient service. I had gotten my furnace cleaned and checked before, but the technician did not catch some careless installation mistakes. This person from Freedom did, and fixed them too.

scheduling and questions were done through the Angies List Messaging service. Once agreed upon, I purchased the Angies List deal and the service provider called me to confirm the appointment. Another confirmation call was made by the provider 24-hours prior to the appointment. Sean was the assigned contractor. He arrived within the scheduled window and explained what he was going to do as well as recommendations for preventative maintenance. While I can't comment on the actual quality of work (routine maintenance/cleaning was only done), I have piece of mind knowing my furnace was checked by a professional.

When I called to make the appointment, the friendly woman on the phone asked me how I was referred to Freedom. When I told her it was through Angie's List, she offered me a discount rate for being an Angie's List member. Very cool! The lead technician for my service visit, Rick, called me early in the day to see if I could possibly accommodate an earlier visit, which worked perfectly for my schedule that day. Rick and his co-worker were very polite and explained everything to me. They also offered a tip on how to cut down on my heating bill. I will definitely use Freedom again and highly recommend them.

The individual was polite, great with our dogs, and provided educational information in addition to performing the requested services.

The provider was booked for quite awhile after we initially purchased the deal, probably because there were so many takers at that price. Once the date was set, however, they came and performed the service with competent professionalism.

Technician was very thorough in assessing potential problems. Showed me what was wrong. Quoted me a fair price with a discount if work was done then and there. May be able to retain discount when I have the work done at a future date. He also discovered an installation problem caused by developer. Appreciated the thorough check up. Did not feel pressured or upsold. Very honest and conscientious technician.

The service person was courteous, professional and knowledgeable. I agreed to have him also replace the water panel on our whole house humidifier at additional cost. My furnace is functioning satisfactorily, but is old. He did not push to replace it right now, but advised to start researching a new one, so as not to be caught without a choice when it needs to be replaced. I would have preferred a smaller window of time for their arrival. 4 hours is a long time to have to be at home waiting, especially just before Christmas! I would recommend them to my friends.

The staff member arrived on time. Before beginning any work he asked if I had any questions, which I appreciated. I am a new home owner and liked that he made his knowledge available to me. He was quick and efficient. After he was done he explained a few helpful tips and maintenance suggestions. He was very friendly, not intimidating, and very informative.

We used Freedom for the first time (using an Angie's List deal) for a seasonal furnace check/tune up. They arrived promptly and were very professional. I had a couple of questions, which they did a nice job explaining. I'd definitely use Freedom again.

Our furnace had not been checked in two years, so my husband and I decided to contact Angie's List for recommendations for a company that would do the work a.s.a.p. They called as soon as we made the payment within an hour. The representative asked specific questions about the furnace and proceeded to ask how soon did we want them to come out? They gave us a day and time and told us they would call us upon their arrival. Within two days they were out, on time and performed the work with such professionalism. They checked and cleaned the burners(?) in the furnace as well as answered all our questions and concerns. They were very patient with my husband and i asking many questions about safety. They also made sure we understood everything they were saying. They made suggestions on energy efficient ways to lower our heating bills, etc. An the wonderful thing about it all is that our home is so much warmer!
