Excellent work! Sean arrived in a real time of need, answering daughter's plea for help. Dad was taken by anbulance while the worker was here. Fast service, cleaned up after the work was done, was very helpful and answered questions satisfactorily.

Bill was on time, communicated clearly work suggested and condition of systems.

Freedom Heating & Cooling arrived on time, were very friendly and performed a complete furnace inspection. I have an older boiler for hot water radiators, but they informed me it was in great working condition and would last for a long time. They were very professional and didn't try to sell me anything I didn't need. I highly recommend them. I don't recall the price, but it was very reasonable.

I knew what the problem was when I called. I explained it to the person who answered the phone and requested an estimate to repair it. Rick came out, Rick was a good guy, he took a look told me that I need to call a chimney company. Then said he had to charge me a $69 diagnostic free. The person on the phone had not mentioned any fee, not did I need a diagnosis - I had called for an estimate. I called the office and, after being put on hold for 7 minutes, the agreed to waive the charge. The c for professionalism is for the office, not Rick. If the person answering the phone had listened more carefully to what I was saying, and informed me of the trip charge, I would have given them an all A's.

It went well. Bill was both timely and personable.

They were great. It was really good. It wasn't as costly as I expected so it went well. Of course there are more things I could have done for my heating system, but it wasn't like he said I needed to do it, he just gave me some options and if I would like to do that in the future, they would be happy to give me a discount and come back. It was thumbs up.

They did a very good job. Willy and Nick came out for the service. They were very polite and professional. I thought it was very nice that they called me the morning of the appointment to see if they could come sooner than we expected. They made a second call to tell me they had a senior citizen client who’s furnace went out and asked if it were okay for them to service their furnace first. They let me know they cleaned and checked the furnace and it was working fine. I had no problem scheduling the deal.

Willy and Nick arrived on time and did a great job! They spent extra time figuring out a circuit board issue and saved me a lot of money rather than recommending a new circuit board.

I particularly appreciated being alerted to a mold problem in our humidifier.

Yesterday around dinner time our furnace stopped working. It was making a dull buzzing sound, but wasn't producing any heat. There was a faint smell of burning. My wife and I are expecting a baby any day now and this was not a repair we were anticipating. The temperatures in Chicago are well below zero. We used space heaters in the bedroom, but by the morning my downstairs was 45 degrees. We scheduled service the following morning and Freedom was able to send a technician the same morning. Sean arrived and could not have been nicer. He quickly diagnosed the problem and patiently explained the issue. He provided full transparency for the costs of the project before proceeding. He purchased the inducer motor, returned promptly and fixed the furnace. He was outstanding in terms of answering a lot of questions I had and providing guidance about future maintenance of the furnace. This is the first time I've had my furnace fixed, but I thought the price was very reasonable. I would recommend Freedom Heating and Cooling for two main reasons. First, their response time was outstanding. We had the whole job done less than few hours from the time I called. Second, I thought their technician worked really hard to provide great customer service. He went above and beyond to make sure I was fully satisfied. I am.

Scheduling worked out well. They completed the job quickly and there was no mess left behind. Overall, it worked out well.

The service was ok. I had to end up calling another to finish the job. They were very polite.

The heating in my building was not properly working. The unit I live in shares the heating system with another unit. So to start, I acklowledge that the issue was special. I chose this contractor because he had a Angie's List coupon of $59 for a service call. Which in my mind, covers the visit to come out to the house. But when I mentioned it to him, he said it would be $89 dollars for the specialist just to come out. I asked why the discrepency, he said because he's sending his "best guy". First of all, they should all be good enough to know how to fix a heating problem. If they are not, then maybe they shouldn't be employed there. Secondly, $89 according to Pete was just for them to come out. Then wouldn't the $59 coupon cover that?! So right away I knew it was going to be that kind of situation. However, against my better judgement, I asked him to come out since it was a critical issue and no one else had responded. Once here, they fixed only half of the problem. I still don't have heat in the basement! Also, he left the valve that was installed slightly opened and it leaked. Soaking my rug! I asked the technician about a permanant solution for the basement, and he said installing a forced air system. I asked him to have Pete (the owner/manager I think) call me to discuss an estimate. He said he would. No call on Friday so I called and again, asked that Pete call me back. Now, almost a week later, still no call. I paid $500 for 3 hours of work (that probably could have been done in one hour), and only half of the problem solved. I also paid $90 for two saddle valves that each cost $8 ($16 total) at Homedepot!!! I understand that the contractor has to add a markup on the product, but d***! I should have trusted my gut when he gave that lame excuss why he wouldn't honor the coupon. This place is not worth your time.

Cleaned & checked furnace - found unit in good condition. The $29.00 Angie's list promo price was an appropriate charge for the basic service rendered. Checked all electrical, found blower capacitor was weak. Replaced capacitor, was charged $105.00 for a $10.00 part.

Very punctual and good communication. Did their job and got me on my way!

Everything went fine. He made an adjustment on the furnace to make it more efficient, which definitely helped. He also changed the air filter and the water filter on the humidifier on the furnace. We have used them in the past and everything has always went well.

Pete walked me through a repair over the phone during off peak hours. He allowed me to avoid an emergency call and potentially lost work. I cannot thank him enough!!!

Provider did a great job. My only complaint is no "booties" were made and I have small children and do NOT like shoes in the house.

I like what they do, they are very prompt. We have electronic heating, and they agreed that we did not have to have it checked every year.

Two polite gentlemen arrived on time to clean and check my furnace. They went right to work and cleaned up after themselves.
