The provider arrived as agreed. He told me that the ignitor needed to be replaced as it was very worn and would cause the furnace to not start up. I was not home, and I was speaking to him on the phone. My elderly Mom (78 years old) was there to let him in, and when he told her that the ignitor needed to be replaced she called me and had me speak to him. I asked him several questions about it, and he gave me the clear impression that it needed to be replaced now or it would cause my home to be without heat. He wasn't sure when it would happen, but that it would happen. He said that if I didn't buy it right then, when they came back to replace it there would be a service charge or trip charge (or however it was phrased), so it would be cheaper now. I asked him to leave me the part (which he did), and then he proceeded with the $185 "repair". Subsequently I looked at the part, and it had very little oxidation. I used a dollar bill to clean it and it is in good condition. I checked with abother HVAC provider I have had service the furnace in the past, and they quoted me $125 to replace it, including the trip charge, service fee, or whatever you want to call it. When I called Freedom back and asked to speak with the manager, they said I had to speak with the service technician. I did speak with him twice, and explained everything and told him that I thought I was taken advantage of because I was not at home. He said that when he tested it, one time it gave a low reading, but then was normal. We discussed that it was in very good shape, and said that had I seen the part at the time I would not have replaced it. Again, I reiterated that I felt taken advantage of. He said he would talk with the owner and get back to me. He never did.

Inspection of the furnace blower system, drainage pipes & humidifier, the outside compressor and the fan compartment. He used the hose to clean the unit of leaves, and used gauges to measure pressure readings. I got my money's worth.

They provided outstanding work. I would use them again.

It went well. The guy was prompt and professional. He explained everything very well and explained how to use unit more efficiently.

Not too happy. Technician kept coming up with parts I needed to replace which was very suspicious. Replaced one costing $105 ( I'm told by a friend it is a $15 part). Then he tried to sell me a one year contract for ~$265; no way. Also, he was supposed to clean the electronic air cleaner filter but said it was ok. After he left I looked at the air filter and it was very dirty. So the $39 deal turned out to cost $145. Never again.

They came the same day at the requested time. Ordered a part and then finished the repair the next day.

Guillermo performed a rather thorough evaluation of the different parts of our A/C, including the furnace feeds, in order to ensure everything was right. He also gave the equipment a comprehensive cleaning. He made some recommendations on possible updates to make the equipment last a bit longer, but was not pushy about it. The service was performed promptly and effectively.

The same gentlemen Sean showed up, on time, and as always super nice, super knowledgeable and just such nice to talk to - so informative. He knows his crap! is what I have to say again and again. He carefully opened up all the parts and tested and cleaned it out. He showed me around and gave me advice. He did not do a flush but that was okay because the deal specifically said they would not do a flush if after looking at it they felt it was not worth the risk. I didn't get the deal for the flush specifically, but more because I wanted it checked out and tuned up if needed as I am a relatively new homeowner. I would have them over again. He did quote a price for a new water heater which I thought was a tad bit higher than what I have seen at home depot, etc (including installation and clean up) but other than that I would have them over in a heart beat.

Sean showed up within the time period specified. He was friendly and took the time to explain what he was doing, as well as provided tips for how to maintain our heating and A/C unit. Our A/C unit is nearing its end of life (16 years old) and Sean provided us with a quote for replacing it should we want to do that in the near future. We're also redoing the patio the unit is on, so Sean provided us with a quote to uninstall the unit, move it off to the side, and reinstall it after the patio is finished.

On Sunday morning I punctured my exterior AC unit. I called freedom and spoke with some one who was very knowledgeable and realistic. The service was completed the following day and I am very happy with my results. I will definitely call them in the future.

Sean was was friendly and professional. No charge because I had an Angies List coupon, don't remember what I paid for it.

It worked out very well; I didn't want to apply the Big Deal to the A/C and he was willing to apply it to the water heater instead. While we were looking at it I realized there was a leak and I got them to come in within four hours and put in a new water heater right after we saw that there was a problem. He was flexible with the deal and it only took 2 hours after they came in to replace the water heater.

Service man was prompt and courteous. He gave a good explanation for service performed.

The entire visit went well. The technician was personable and expert. Carefully explained how my furnace works and how to set it to be more efficient. I was impressed enough to purchase the companies annual service plan.

Extremely well! Willie & Nick provided expert service. They diagnosed the problem quickly, solved it, and provided plenty of background information for preventive maintenance.

I bought the $99 deal for an A/C check in the spring and a Furnace check in the fall. Sean checked the A/C and everything went smoothly. Looking forward to seeing you in the fall!

Great! Purchased the big deal and they were here next day. Replaced the valve and went on their way leaving us with a boiler that didn't leak! Very happy.

I was impressed by the attention to detail provided by the tech. I will be using Freedom Heating again in the future for an AC tune-up and for any other furnace needs.

I can't say much because it was a tune up only but he was there on time and did a good job.

It seemed to go okay at first. The technician cleaned the furnace and recommended the replacement of the blower capacitor for around $200, and also gave me a price for a whole house humidifier installation. The problem began a few days later, when the blower would not turn off and the heat would not fire up. I called another company I had used before. They found that the wiring on the thermostat was wrong (green wire G was wired to O/B instead of G). They also found problems with the wiring inside the furnace. This was a new house, we had only moved in a few days earlier, so these conditions were already present. The technician from the second company I called corrected the thermostat wiring, which at least got the heat working. He also left me pricing for recommended repairs. I could not recommend a company, such as Freedom H & C, who sent out a technician to inspect and clean my furnace system, who did not notice something as basic as incorrect wiring. I feel my money was stolen from me, and then there was the frustration of problems only a few days later and paying an additional service fee on top of the first one.
