It was fine. They checked my furnace and air conditioner and it seems to be working well.

THEY CLEANED THE AIR CONDITIONER,CHECKED THE FREON,THE THERMOSTAT AND THE FURNACE.HE WAS HERE FOR A GOOD HOUR AND A HALF.VERY PROFESSIONAL,THOROGH SERVICE.THE ONLY THING HE DID NOT CHECK WAS THE HUMIDIFIER.

They were on time, thoroughly checked the units in a timely manor and then explained to us what need to be fixed and how they are currently function. They didn't make us do any of the repairs right then but something we will do in the near future.

My refrigerator fan was consistently running and making a loud muffling noise. I called Freedom Heating and Cooling to schedule an appointment. The service repair guy came to see the refrigerator and give me a quote. A new part was ordered and when it came in the repair was made to the fan. The whole process went smoothly.

Excellent and efficient job. Very professional and helpful. Our new NEST thermostat needed a 5th common wire run. They did this and got it installed and running quickly. Set for another year.

Seventeen year old air conditioner was not working and thought for sure I'd need a new unit. Guillermo diagnosed it as needing a new capacitor. $340 later (part, service, labor and diagnostic charges) and the A/C is back to life. Guillermo took time to explain everything to me, including what may go wrong with the unit in the future, what my options were for potentially extending the life of the unit (understanding there are no guarantees given the age of the unit), the work associated with it, and potential costs for the various options. I couldn't be happier with the service provided and information given. Will definitely call Freedom in the future, and hope that either Guillermo or someone as outstanding comes by.

Overall experience was great. Furnace person was on time, very courteous, very professional, and seemed honest and fair.

They responded very quickly to schedule an appointment after I purchased a tuneup deal. Showed up on time after giving me a courtesy call first. Explained everything when they were here and competed the work quickly.

Guy came in, seemed to do a fine, thorough job. Didn't find anything wrong which was my worry, i.e., that some unscrupulous vendor would manufacture problems. We've had that happen a few times.

Sean was amazing. He explained exactly how the furnace is supposed to work and what he was doing with each step in the tune up. He made me feel comfortable opening up the case and changing the filter in the future. He was very knowledgeable of the system.

The service was great. Shawn provided detailed info about the work that was being done and why it was necessary. I definitely recommend this company based on my current experience.

I was unable to be at home during the visit so my wife was there with our kids. My wife called me during the inspection and told me the technician stated that there were multiple problems with the unit that required repair. The technician stated the system was low on charge and he would have to come back and fill it up as it was too cold outside and couldn't add it at that time. He also stated that the contactor was making a loud and buzzing noise and that it needed to be replaced. Also that the condenser contactor is very low on charge. The compressor was running a littler weak and a hard start kit needed to be installed and that the condenser fan motor is loud and high on amps and that a new dual cap need to be installed. He stated the freon was likely going to be 6-10 pounds needed. The charges are as follows... $69.00 for inspection and cleaning $189.00 for dual cap $250.00 for contactor $225 for hard start kit $90.00 per pound of freon (quoted 6-10 pounds needed or $540-$900) Total $1273-$1633 My wife told him to hold off on any of this until she was able to talk to me and he couldn't do the freon at that time anyway. I am so glad that she decided to wait. When I got home, I was really shocked by the estimate. I have used this company in the past to inspect my furnace and was very happy with the service, but something about the quote and pricing didn't add up. I had another company come and check the system at an additional cost of $90.00 and I am so glad that I did. They stated that all of the system was working great except that the maintenance caps were missing on the outside unit and that I likely had a small leak since the freon was low. He was stated that the cap, contactor and unit were fine. The leak would be expensive to find and fix, but if it were small, a "easy-seal" injection may seal it. His quote for the repair... $90.00 for the inspection and cleaning $115.00 for easy-seal $77.00 1st pound of freon $38.00 for 2nd and 3rd pound of freon each Total $358.00 Needless to say I am very disappointed with Freedom and Cooling and will not be using or recommending them again. I feel that they tried to take advantage of my wife and swindle me out of money for repairs that I didn't need. There prices are also uncalled for. I asked the other company how much they would charge for what Freedom and Cooling quoted me and the hard start kit installed was only $96.00 and you can see how much cheaper the freon was. I have the printed quotes from Freedom and Cooling and the other service I used. Also, the second company walked me through everything they checked and what they look for to identify that each part is working appropriately.

The visit went well. The technician called the day before and 30 minutes before arrival. He was very nice and knowledgeable. We would definitely use this company again!
