Received courtesy reminders of appointment. Service provider on time and courteous. Was informative.

Willy called to say he was on his way. He arrived shortly thereafter. He was polite, friendly and even used those booties over his shoes to avoid tracking in any outside dirt. He thoroughly explained the problem in detail an even made a video to show me the problem he found in the attic. Unfortunately Willy had to work in our attic which was about 120 degrees. He removed the water from the drain pan with a shop vac and then cleared the drain hose from debris. He also checked to make sure all the thermostats were working properly. He did a great job and exemplifies what great customer service is.

The technician was the best I have encountered in many years of living in the area, explaining the work in understandable terms and providing very friendly service. I would highly recommend this company.

The representative arrived on time. He placed shoe coverings on his shoes before walking into the house. He asked where the unit was located as well as the thermostat. He also checked the furnace and made some suggestions. I have used this company before and have been very satisfied with the way they do business. There have been no problems with cooling the house this season. And yes I would call them again, if the need arises. It is good to do business with the sense of trust.

Pete & the team from Freedom were thorough, prompt & very competitive among the quotes I received. We have a 120 year old house that presented some installation challenges, but they made everything work. I would definitely recommend them to others.

Quickly received word that we would be contacted by an estimator which was great. After waiting the estimator left a message that we are "too far" for them to come to. Too far? We live within their advertised service area. It feels a bit like a scam to advertise all of DuPage, but if they're too busy, they just call and say you're outside of the area. Very interesting.

Reasonable, cost effective solutions provided. I will go back to Freedom Heating & Cooling for any further needs.

My place is difficult to find behind Carl Sandburg Lowell House high rise. Kept me posted on their progress each step of the way. Willie and Nick were very professional.

Willie & Nick were great! Very punctual and respectful. Willie walked me through everything and explained so I could understand the issues.

It went well. The air conditioner is on the old side. He checked the system and replaced all of the parts that were necessary.

Willie and Nick came and did a better than expected job teaching us about our HVAC system. We are no longer sweating from no A/C. They also moved our appt. date to accommodate a family party!

Although I've had no previous experience with this kind of service - first time I've owned central air - the service guy seemed very knowledgeable. My AC needed to be recharged and he informed me of what may go out next as I have an older unit, but there was no pressure to replace it (can't remember what it was called) until it went out. He also informed me it would be cheaper (about $1000) to replace that piece rather than purchase a new unit ($3000). The only annoyance was the $89 charge because they had to use a ladder taller than 10 feet to access the roof.

They did a great job in a timely and professional manner! Willie was very thorough and he explained in detail everything he was inspecting and why. He fixed the leaking water in our air conditioner and did a full inspection. He also determined the noise we were concerned about was just the air filter hitting the motor and nothing was needed but a new filter. I will definitely use Freedom again.

They were SUPER fast. We called for an estimate and they were able to come out that same day. Sean stayed about three hours and waited for me to come home so that both my husband and I could meet him and feel confident in the quote. He was very professional, tried hard to get us a deal from his boss too :) I really appreciated the time and effort he took to explain it all to us. The rest of his team was here the very next morning to replace the unit. They got here just before 9am and were gone by 12pm. They were quick, professional and clean. I was concerned about the price ($3200) for a condo unit but after I did some checking around it seemed on par with other companies. I would definitely use them again.

After a weekend where the air conditioning unit stopped working properly, I reviewed list of HVAC providers on Angieslist, and chose the this provider since they were within a reasonable distance, and also had the highest ratings and positive reviews. Called on Monday morning . Was able to schedule an appointment for the afternoon, but no guarantee on the time window since this was a last minute scheduling, The person scheduling said 2 pm or after, and would call when they had a better idea of the time. There would be a diagnostic charge of $69 for the visit, plus additional costs for repairs. At 12:37 pm, a tech called to say that he would be there within a half hour and asked if he could come early. Guillermo arrived around 1:15 pm. I explained the symptom and he checked the outside AC unit and determined that the condenser fan motor had leaked oil (it was a sealed unit) and partially seized. The motor had to be replaced. I asked the pros and cons of the repair. He said that the unit is 14 years old and that typical unit last about 15 years. A replacement unit would cost approximately $2800, and replacing the condenser fan would be $495. I decided to go with the lower cost option to see if we can get a few more years out of the unit. Guillermo replaced the fan motor, and checked on the other parts of the unit, refrigerant pressure, compressor amperage, etc. and said that everything else seemed to be in working order. He even showed me the temperatures of the refrigerant on the diagnostic tools as he was using them, and explained to me what normal operating parameters were for the unit, and that everything was working fine. He then went into the attic crawl space, where the air handler is located, to verify that the air handler was working properly as well. Guillermo is 100% professional, and patient with my questions of options and curiosity of the repair. The replacement motor is guaranteed for 1 year and 90 days on the labor. He completed the job promptly and left around 3 pm. I totally satisfied with the job.

The gentleman that came out to perform the service on our air conditioners was very professional and courteous. He explained everything he was doing and made some tweaks to our settings to help us be more energy efficient (and seeing our bills the past few months compared to previously, he was right on). I'm very impressed and will definitely use them again.

After a phone call confirming my past experience with Freedom Heating's tune up of my AC unit, I booked the service. I was specific that the unit was in the attic and that they might want to consider that if possible when sending a tech. Upon his arrival, when I said that the unit was in the attic, he immediately asked if it was a space pak. I said yes and he informed me that they no longer service space paks. I asked why this wasn't shared with me in my conversation when I booked the service. It was a huge inconvenience for me to empty my entire closet, only to find that the company wouldn't service me.

Technician came and was great - prompt and gave us an honest assessment of the remaining life and most cost effective solution for the future. Recommend, was very happy with the service provided.

I purchased two vouchers for $39 each for A/C tune ups. The service provider spent much more time than I expected in reviewing, cleaning, and servicing the two outdoor condensers, the two inside units, the two thermostats, and the ductwork. He found a part that was rusted out in both of the outdoor condensers, showed me what was wrong and what the part should look like, and gave a fair price quote to replace both of them immediately. Overall, very satisfied.
