Sam did a great job. He took the time to show me what he was doing and found out the dryer vent pipe was disconnected at a point we could not use. He installed new flexible venting to the dryer to the outside. He also checked the A/C and we found the company we hired just 2 months ago did a very poor job cleaning it.

They called before arriving, which was very helpful. They explained everything, and didn't mind answering my questions. They asked about additional options before doing the job. They were very polite and efficient.

Mr. Sam, the technician was a little late (was supposed to arrive between 11:00am to 3:00pm, but showed up a little after 5:00pm). He was courteous and professional, and showed me preventative measures (parts to replace).

They explained everything and showed me why I was having the problem. I trust Paul Sam, he cares a lot about the work he does. He did an outstanding job.

I had them do a dryer vent cleaning and that was a good job. But on the exterior of the house he broke the dryer vent cover. On the invoice he tried to charge me for a new one, stating that the old one was brittle.

I found this company through Angie's List and used them because they had a "Big Deal" for a Dryer Vent cleaning. We needed an annual lint cleaning because my dryer started to take a long time to dry clothes. When I called to make the appointment, the receptionist said the latest they could come was 3pm and that it would have to be exactly at that time, which I agreed to. I got a call that day saying they would be late and be there around 5pm but, they didn't actually arive until 6pm. There were 2 tech's that showed up, one was the owner's son who was on spring break. They went to work right away and cleaned out a lot of lint from the dryer. It took them about an hour and then then left. At one point I did notice that they accidentally started to blow the lint into the vent instead of vaccum it out, which could have caused the issue below. I put a small load of clothes in the dryer that same evening after they left. I noticed that it was still taking a long time to dry. Once the timer went off, I went to remove the clothes and they were all still wet. I turned the dryer on to test it to see if it was getting hot and got a faint scent of gas so, I immediately stopped using it. I called Pete early the next morning to have them come back out and figure out what was going on. He called back and said they would come between 10:30-11am. Pete came this time with the other service man that came the day before. They showed up right at 10:30. They removed the front, bottom panel of my dryer and right away noticed there was lint all over the interior of the dryer. They advised us that this was a major fire hazard and to get it cleaned right away. However, they could not do it and recommended I call an appliance repair service. Then, they went outside to inspect the vent. They said the reason the dryer was not heating was because the outside vent was sticking and the igniter kept shutting off as a safety precaution. They said that the vent kept sticking because there was more air flow going through it since they had just been cleaned. They did something to the outside vent and said the igniter was working fine now. But, they advised that I should not use my dryer until I get someone to clean the interior. I had an appliance repairman come out a few days later. After cleaning out the interior of my dryer, he went to test it and realized the igniter was still shutting off. I explained what had gone on previously with Freedom so, he went outside to check the vent. He spent 30 minutes cleaning out the exterior vent and removed so much more lint from the vent. He finally got a huge chunk of lint out from the vent, which fixed the problem. He said the reason the igniter was shutting off was because there was a huge chunk of lint blocking the heat from escaping the dryer, which caused the igniter to shut off as a safety precaution. Obviously, Freedom did an inadequate job of cleaning out our dryer vent. They also did not properly test the dryer before they left to ensure it was working properly. They gave us a bogus reason as to why the dryer wasn?t heating when they came back to re-inspect it. I was appreciative that they noticed the abundance of lint on the interior of the dryer and advised us not to use it because it was definitley a fire hazard. However, this should have been checked on the first visit and brought to our attention at that time.

They were on time and they called before they came. The gentleman was very professional. It was a very good price for the cleaning but he wanted to do some other things so I spent more than I thought. The original price for the cleaning was 59.00 but I ended up spending 500.00. The serviceman said I needed to have valves changed, because they were old, and needed another part replaced.

It went very well once I recovered from hearing that the cost of the fan would be over $500.

His prices were fair. He was actually closed when I called him and he got in his truck and came over and did the work. He was already off the job. He was very professional. He not only did what had to be done, he did a little extra when he was in there. He did some adjusting. We were extremely satisfied wit the quality of work. He was honest and went out of his way to satisfy me. It was a very cold period of time when my furnace shut down. He did a very good job and explained to me some things about my furnace that he didn't have to do. The owner came over and he was extremely professional. He also gave me some explanations on what to do in the future for some other things. The price was worth the work he did. He came over immediately and I couldn’t have asked for better. I would use them again in a heartbeat.

We had an extremely hot day (unusual for May) we hit 92 degrees and broke the record for that day per the news. We turned on our A/C for the first time since last summer and it started working OK but as the day was going we noticed less and less cold air coming from the vents, until eventually all air stopped. Luckily we had joined Angie's List a few days before and decided to give it a try. After calling more than 5 people on the list, and getting responses such as "We are too busy, our next appointment is several days from now" on top of outrageous pricing for emergency work and or visit charges, we decided to Google places near our area and that's how Freedom Heating and Cooling came about. I don't know why they didn't come up if he's already on Angie's list. Hummm! Anyways the Owner Pete answered the phone and once we explained the problem he right away said your line sounds like it's frozen from not enough Freon. When we asked when someone could come (by now it was like 4pm) he must have sensed our frustration and desperation to get our A/C working, since it was to be pretty hot the next day as well. Pete said " We have a pretty busy day tomorrow due to the heat, but I will be at your home at 7am, before we start our day to check it out" OH MY GOD !!!!! he went the extra mile for us and got up extra early to squeeze us in. NO EXTRA / OUTRAGEOUS OR EMERGENCY VISIT CHARGE !!! the next day he was here very prompt at 7am and took his time, never felt like he rushed at all. Not only was he right in his diagnosis, he did what he could and came back a couple of days later to make sure nothing else was frozen and that enough freon was in the system, without us having to call him! Then we had several cold days in the 50's, so he came back a 3rd time once the temperature came back up over 70 degrees to finish all the work and get it working to the best condition possible, considering we have an old unit. We know we need to upgrade soon and we will definitely call him as our first option !!! CONGRATS ON A JOB WELL DONE !!! Gerardo & Iliana SIlva

Everything went well, once we decided the plan and the technician who came out was on time and very courteous. He left NO mess and even offered to help me put a few things back into the furnace area. It has been one week and the furnace is running well and have plenty of heat. We will call Joe in the very near future for the new unit.

They are great. When you call they come and they do a good job. Everything they have done so far has been great and they've never had to come back and fix anything. You can depend on them and they are prompt with their service calls. We've recommended them to others and they've had the same experience.
