Danny (Service Technician) checked and cleaned AC unit. Verified connections, etc. in basement HVAC closet as well as serviced (cleaned, verified outside AC unit) unit for any possible issue. Found that capacitor was not registering at full strength and was near end of life so replaced capacitor at discounted priced (Angie's List member 10% discount). Danny was very nice and professional and fully explained everything to my wife and I. He answered all of our questions and gave us information to help us throughout the year with our AC Unit. Would definitely use this service provider again in the future. This was by far one of the best AC Unit inspection/cleaning visits we have had from an HVAC company. We usually check Angie's List for this type of service, and while all the previous companies we have worked with were good, Danny definitely provided above and beyond what we are used to. We purchased a deal through Angie's List for the tune-up of a furnace and A/C unit, and Freedom was prompt to call the next morning to schedule an appointment. The rep who arrived called ahead, was right on time, and was extremely professional. He took time to explain what he was doing, and showed me the places where he saw any recommended repairs. I'm always a little leery with HVAC contractors, who often try to upsell you on tons of services. The gentleman I worked with explained some options available (such as fan cleaning & freeon charge), but agreed neither were bad enough to require immediate attention. fI appreciated the honesty, and would definitely recommend Freedom to others. Overall, Freedom was responsive, punctual, professional - a great experience all together.

Purchased Big deal for Freedom Heating & Cooling. They came out to inspect and clean the furnace. They was very courteous, professional, explained everything in detail.

They came on time and performed a quality job for all my ducts. They were very energetic and professional. They advised what needs to be done for my furnace humidifier as it needs valve fix. Overall very good experience. I would recommend for future projects.

I scheduled an appointment to an AC service. I told the dispatcher that I have an Angies list deal where its $49 for the service call. She said ok. Technician arrived about 35 mins late. Then he could not find the air filter to the AC. Then he said that because I live in a condo (3 floors) and the AC is on the roof, the deal I got online does not apply. He said that this is not a residential service (even though this is primary residence for everyone who lives here). He said this is commercial property and it will be an extra charge. I then asked him what is the rate, he said for angies list members, its $109 / hour. So, I reluctantly agreed. After working for an hour, when he wrote the bill, he then said the total is $109 + $49 ( the $49 I already paid to Angies list as part of the deal) for a total of $158. I already felt taken advantaged of already since I had to pay $109 / hour as opposed to the $49 service call that was advertised. Now he wants $158 (the $49 coupon PLUS and additional $109). This is ridiculous. He then called the boss and he told me the boss (pete) said, yep, need to charge the entire $158 (even though I reluctantly agreed to the $109). I would not use this service again because its classic bait and switch. Advertise for $49 and then come to tell you why you cannot use that and proceed to up charge. Be Aware.

Used Angie's List special for $59. Spent more for additional maintenance, but A/C ran without issue last summer and that is always a good thing.

Would not consider replacement of flue cap only. Gave me an estimate that was several hundred dollars more than another provider for replacement of flue system. I declined to go forward.

Had purchased their "Big Deal" which included one A/C and one Furnance Checkup plus a year long service plan. They were very professional and polite and scheduling was easy- 2 hour window with a call to let us know they were coming. My AC and Furnace is approximately 20 years old, so it was not unexpected that at each visit part(s) needed to be replaced. In both instances we were told why, amount of the repair before it occurred and provided with options. When I raised the question of considering replacement of the system (which most companies would clearly use to try to sell me a new system), the technician indicated I could (and that it was likely within the next few years), but wasn't needed just yet. Would defintely use again in the future.

The tech was prompt, professional, patient (I had a million questions), and very informative. He cleaned/serviced our A/C unit, recommended some repairs/improvements, provided an estimate for replacing the unit, and made recommendations regarding repair/replacement. I couldn't have been more impressed!

Danny called to let me know when he would be arriving and asked if it was ok to come early. He was great and very thorough and explained everything to me without hesitation. Danny took the time to make sure everything made sense to me and explained any potential issues. I would definitely recommend them to anyone else!

Called for an estimate on 4/3/13. Rep came out on 4/4 and the unit was installed on 4/5. Choose this company because it offered a 10 year warranty on labor, as well as, on parts and the compressor.

This was an Angie's Big Deal. When he arrived, he saw that I have 2 dryers and said I had to pay extra to do the other one. I said the "deal" was to also check my furnace, but I have a boiler, which excluded that part of the "deal." After the serviceman called someone, he did both dryer vents without an extra charge.

It went well overall. The serviceman arrived on time, explained what the issue was and how much it would cost. The work was completed in a timely manner. Since they treated me well I signed up for an annual contract.

The workers were on time & professional & thorough & took care to explain everything & clean up afterward.

They did a great and will call back to do more work in the future.
