Noted warping in heating element, but no cracking. Seemed professional and reasonable. I looked up how to replace the thermocouple later. Seems like something I could have done myself.

The gentleman showed up on time, was thorough, warned me that the one part was showing wear but did not insist on replacing it now. He was polite,neat and clean up after himself.

Team were on time, were courteous and professional. They patiently explained what they were doing when I asked questions. Pete, the owner, is awesome. Does a great job, explaining options and different solutions. They use rotobrush vac and also sanitized the ducts.

Unfortunately there was not a good place to put it because of the way my furnace and ducts are in the basement. they mounted it the only place they could which was on the return vent. It did not provide enough humidity to be worth it. I would have had to get a new heater and have all kinds of ducts and A/C stuffed moved which would be very expensive in order to mount a humidifier on the duct work going out from the heater not in. Freedom Heating came out several times trying to get more humidity but were unable to. We all gave up at that point and they removed the equipment and sent me a full refund. Freedom Heating stood behind their work and since it wasn't sufficient for my home they removed it and refunded all my money. thanks for trying.

They arrived on time and explained the problems with the furnace in detail. There was no pressure to perform any specific services.

Overall service was excellent Dick and Max called at 10 am and arrived around 10:30 am. Dick and Max provided suggestions with where to place the new humifider. Everything they did was excellent and in a timely manner.

Sam was on time, completed the work on time, and had a lot of experience and knowledge.

My furnace went out at midnight on a Sunday night in February. At 7am on Monday morning I called Freedom Heating and asked for a repairman to come to my home and check my furnace. A repairman was at my home a few hours later, he showed me with his camera that there were cracks in the heat exchangers and told me that it could cause carbon monoxide poisoning and that I need a new heating system

They were on time, very professional, and quick. They did the job and were right to the point.

They were awesome! What a way to start a Monday morning it's 6:30am and your water heater is leaking, I called around 7:00 and Anthony was at my house by 8:15. He took a look, made an adjustment and didn't try to sell anything. I will definately use them again.

Please read my first review regarding the first time I contacted Freedom Heating and Cooling. I've had nothing but great experiences with this company!! We called Freedom for a furnace clean and check, as well as a whole house humidifier installation. Rick gave me a call ahead of time to let me know what time he and Max would be arriving. The weather was terrible, we had just gotten another 4-6 inches of snow, and they were still on time. Awesome. Rick and Max were very professional and courteous. I showed them our furnace, and Rick explained that due to the square footage of our house, a smaller humidifier would be adequate. I really appreciated his honesty, as he could have told me we needed a larger (more expensive) unit and I would have been none the wiser. He then explained that he needed to make a modification to our water line to accommodate the humidifier. The work they performed was great, everything looks clean, you can tell these guys knew what they are doing. When they were done, Rick explained how the system worked, and answered any questions I had regarding the install. After two weeks with the new humidifier, it was well worth the investment. The house is much less dry and our sinuses aren't clogged! Not much else to say, this is an awesome company with a great staff of people who take care of their customers. If it ever warms up in Chicagoland, I'm going to have Freedom come out and look over our air conditioner this spring. Can't recommend them enough.

When I arrived home from work around 6pm, I immediately noticed how cold my house felt. I went to the thermostat and noticed the battery indicator was flashing and the temperature in the house was 50 degrees. I installed new batteries and figured the furnace would then come back on. It fired up and less than five minutes later would shut off. I went downstairs, took the front panel off and no matter what I tried, I couldn't get the furnace to stay lit. At this point the house was now about 44 degrees, and it was close to 9pm. I decided I needed to call an emergency service provider or it was going to be a COLD night in our house as the outside temp was about 0. I hopped on Angie's list and saw the stellar reviews for Freedom Heating & Cooling. I was worried this was going to be an expensive and stressful ordeal as late night service for anything is rarely cheap. Soon as I called, Pete answered and asked me very detailed questions about everything that had happened up to the point I made the phone call. Over the next 30 minutes he methodically walked me through exactly what I needed to do in order to get my furnace back up and running. This was not something I would have ever been able to figure out on my own. Again, this was late at night, and I'm probably one of the least handy people in the world when it comes to fixing things, and I was able to follow his instructions over the phone. When I was done, the furnace came back on and stayed on. The house heated back up and we were able to sleep in a warm home again. This was probably the best example of customer service I've experienced in any industry. Pete could have sent someone to fix the furnace and charged me for it, but he took time out of his evening late at night to assist me over the phone and it didn't cost a thing. I told my friends at work the next day about my experience and they were amazed at the story. Truly exceptional service. We will use Freedom for any and all HVAC needs in the future.

He examined the condenser and it was filled with water. He drained that and cleared the line and the unit instantly sounded better. I was advised to replace one part, which I agreed to. Since the unit probably hadn't been serviced since installation during the building's gut rehab in 2007, I also paid for a thorough cleaning. All well worth it -- great tech!

Installed humidifier. I always call them when I need something done with HVAC unit.

They are very professional. They were priced very competitively and were very thorough.

Rick and nick came and were very helpful and courteous the entire time they were there. They walked me through what they were doing and replaced the part that needed to be replaced. I also bought the maint. Plan which is a great deal. They would come twice a year and clean out the ac and furnace when you buy the plan. I would recommend using them again.

He does his job perfectly within one half hour.
