Technician called ahead, arrived on time and performed services as required. He gave recommendation for fixing the observed problems. He was very friendly and professional.

Bill was on time and did a fantastic job. Very satisfied.

All in all I had a good experience with Freedom Heating & Cooling, but it did leave a bad taste in my mouth. Scheduling went great, they were VERY accommodating and were able to squeeze me in fairly fast. We Scheduled the day I bought the deal for 2 days hence. They arrived within the window they gave me of 12-4 with a courtesy call 20 min before they would arrive. Very nice and professional. The gentlemen came in and while inspecting the furnace noticed a gas smell. He explained it would be 80.00 if he needed to fix the valve, which was in fact the case. This was a dangerous situation and I didn't feel comfortable leaving it undone, so when he came to tell me the price he said Yes the gas valve would be 80.00 but the test to sniff out the leak was an additional 55.00. He also said this was special pricing since I was an Angie's list customer. Well I am no expert but I felt the 55.00 was tacked on just to make more money. While I paid it because I didn't feel comfortable not fixing a gas leak right away, it felt like bait and switch on the pricing and $135 bucks to put of some pipe tape and tighten a joint seems a bit much. Its because of this I will probably not use them again.

I had to pay extra for the extra furnace deal, they honored the Angie's price. Willie & Nick came over to our place right on time. Were extremely respectful and informative. I got what I wanted, which is servicing of both furnaces and a peace of mind.

This company called me very quickly after purchasing the Big Deal. They did state that they were very backed up and would not be able to come to my home for several more weeks. I need the service now, so I had to cancel.

How did it go? It was awesome. Here's the thing...you can call 100 different Heating and Cooling companies in the Chicago area (and believe me - I have!)..but at the end of the day there is one company that treats me like family...Freedom Heating and Cooling owned by Pete Fiorentino. Pete has helped me over the past 7 years on various projects. He underscores what I am looking for as a consumer: 1) Do what you say you are going to do; 2) Be there when you say you are going to be there; 3) Be Professional, be courteous, and be clean.; 4) Charge me a reasonable rate for parts and labor. Pete's Freedom Heating and Cooling hits every mark with 100% accuracy. To see other reviews on Angie's List lower than an A+ seems off to me...like petting a cat backwards. Not sure how that feedback manifested...but I can tell you, if you ever have a challenge, are not happy with something, or have a question....just pick up the phone and ask for Pete. He will treat you with respect, and like I say, he will treat you like family. It's that simple. Pete - THANK YOU for helping keep my family warm this winter. We're going to need it from what I hear.
