Dawson's did an excellent job of trimming our large Maple tree that was rubbing against our house and that had a large amount of damaged and dead wood in it. They provided an estimate without me having to be home and it was very competitive to other proposals we received. They didn't try to sell us a bunch of services we really didn't need beyond the trimming.. They arrived on a day I was out of town so I was a little worried that they would miss something, but when i got home the tree looked perfect. Very impressed with their service and I would highly recommend them to anyone. The one thing I wish I would've asked about was having them trim the wood to fireplace sized pieces and keeping it for the winter, but that was my bad and not theirs just a hint for others in case you would like to keep yours.

We hired Dawsons Tree Service to remove six large trees, two ash trees in the front and four other trees in the back. The backyard is fenced which made access and work a bit more difficult. The Dawsons team was quick and efficient, and all six trees were down and gone in half a day. It was necessary for Dawsons to return on a later day to grind the four tree stumps in the backyard since the ground was too soft due to rain the night before to use the stump grinding machine that day. Dawsons scheduled and returned, and the stumps were ground down. Dawsons was careful to ensure there was no damage to our fence, our neighbor's fence, or surrounding bushes and plants. Clean up was done well. We will definitely use Dawsons for any future tree removal needs and have already recommended them to neighbors and friends. Great service at a very reasonable price!

What didn't go well was that it took almost 3 weeks from the time I signed an agreement for the work to be done. The machine that they used looked small to me and didn't grind the stump very deep, (they said 8-10 inches but I don't think it was even that much). The reason they gave for taking so long was that it had been rainy. I didn't see any reason why they couldn't have done what they did in the rain. Maybe it would have been less dusty. The price may have been in line with other service providers but it seemed like a lot for what only took 20 minutes. Seems to me I'm not very important to them if all I need is a little stump grinding.

Job went smoothly and was completed in about six hours with no injuries to workmen or damage to the surrounding property. The stump removal tree chips were not removed so I used them as mulch for my flower beds. I was very happy to have this large tree removed as it was ready to fall on my neighbor's garage and my home telephone service line. The Dawson workmen were professional and pleasant to work with, I would hire them again if any other trees on the property need removal in the future.

The work was completed in 6 hours or so. The supervisor spent time with my neighbor as well as us to make sure our concerns were addresses and the work went well. They did a thorough cleanup of the yards at the end.

It went beautifully. I am very happy with the service and they were very reasonable. They did a great job and cleaned up well. I would highly recommend them.

I would never have known they were there - the removal was great - all mess cleaned up. They had to deal with a neighbor's yard also and they were wonderful. From the price quote to the removal - great customer service, responsiveness, and punctuality. I filled out a quote request on their website on a Sunday, was contacted on Monday morning, the quote was in my mailbox Monday afternoon, and the tree was removed by the next Monday. I will definitely use them again.

Due to rain the job was rescheduled once. They showed up as scheduled the next clear day and performed the work agreed to. The crew was very efficient and professional and performed the job neatly.

They did such a wonderful job. They kept to the estimate. They ground the stump and didn't leave anything around. I liked their efficiency and the pricing. I also liked the fact that he was local.

I submitted the work that need to be done via their online form and they came out and provided an estimate within a couple of days. I hired them and the work was completed the following week. There was a crew of them out there pruning and trimming one of our trees in the front of the house and removing some unsightly bushes from the back of the house. They were fast and even got rid of the yard waste we had gathered from our own cleaning up. They were very professional and wasted no time in getting the job done! I was also pleased with the price he quoted and I very much appreciated that he didn't try to talk us into getting extra work done.

They showed up on time and did a great job using a bucket. They also cleaned up very well. I got 2 bids and they were lower.

Excellent service, concern for safety and property, and super cleanup like they were never here. Very professional team and excellent response from the office/management staff.

The work was done in the winter, so that they waited for a warm day to come out. Overall, I was very pleased with their service but with one exception: one of the trees to be trimmed was an old apple tree that was overhanging the property line and had grown into the neighbor's utility line. I just needed the limbs trimmed back so as not to threaten the neighbor's utility lines. I was pretty clear with my directions and was not present when the work was performed. I found that they had trimmed the heck out of the apple tree but did not trim the limbs back from the neighbor's utility line. I was not pleased about that, as I really didn't want the tree rimmed: just cut back from the utility lines. So I called them out and they trimmed even more out of the tree but not away from the utility line. On the 3rd time out to my yard, they got it right, but now the poor old apple tree looks like a stick. Lesson learned: you need to be present when the work is being done so as to make sure it is done to your specifications. I don't understand why the instructions I gave, which I thought to be very clear and straight-forward, were not followed. But all the other work performed was done well. The apple tree trimming was a stain on an otherwise good job.

They were quick, efficient, and courteous. They were patient with our questions, and responsive to our requests. Their price was more than reasonable (it cost substantially less than the quotes we recieved from other tree removal companies). I will unquestionable use their services in the future and I heartily recommend them to anybody who needs a tree removed from their property.

They did excellent work and they were on time to come out and provide an estimate. Their price was very reasonable. Everything went very smoothly and I was very happy with them.

Dawson's Tree service trimmed 4 HUGE old Chinese Elm trees and cut down a 5th one. It was GIGANTIC and they brought a crane as well as a cherry picking bucket truck. Watching them do all the work from my window was better than a TV show. You should have seen them high up in the trees doing their work. John Dawson and his crew did the work quickly and very professionally. They put down large pieces of plywood to protect the grass etc. which was much appreciated. At the end, everything was cleaned up well. I highly recommend them for any tree job large or small.

It took about a week for Dawson's to look at job & provide a quote. Price seemed generally compared to verbal quote we had from another vendor. Within ~ 2 weeks, Dawson's provided us the day on which they would complete the work. They arrived that day - large crew. Complete what I think was very technical removal given the tight spot piece by piece using pulleys to drop individual pieces to the ground. Only damage was minor tear to one of our window screens which they repaired at local hardware store with no issue. No damage to the yard from their equipment. They came back a few days later to grind down stump.

It was a little hard getting in touch with the estimator, but I understand why because he was also pitching in doing the manual work during the day! It's easier to contact the main office. Despite that, they were awesome! They were one of the best service provider I have ever worked with. They were very professional, courteous, and had all the proper tools to do their job. They got to my house exactly when they said they would and all 6 men got to work right away in the frigid cold winter. Surprisingly fast, they finished the work in about 40 minutes. This included all the trimming, hauling away the debris, and cleaning up the yards. They completed the work exactly as I requested and what surprised me was how well they cleaned up afterwards. I had a PVC fence near the tree and they were very careful about not damaging it while cutting branches. Overall, I am very satisfied and would not hesitate to use their services again.

Overall experience was excellent. Although I was initially a little shocked at the price of about $4,000 to remove the tree, after watching the removal, now I understand why the cost. It took a crew of about 6 guys the better part of 8 hours to completely finish the job. In addition to the crew, they had to bring in a giant crane to lift the massive sections up over the house due to the powerlines. I felt completely comfortable in their ability to remove the tree, even when I saw these massive sections of the tree being lifted over my house. Let me be blunt-don't hire a tree company that is slightly cheaper if you are not 100% comfortable with what they will attempt to do. Go with these guys and breath easy;)

We got 4 different estimates and Dawson's was by far the cheapest. We are very happy with how they trimmed our trees. They cleaned up everything and left my driveway area cleaner than it was when they got there! Very happy with their services.

They were prompt and responsive. The estimate was provided within a day or so of my initial call - very fast. I did not choose them because the price was the highest we were quoted - between 30% and almost 35% more than the other two bids. Since we were just getting trees removed and not trimmed, I did not think the premium was worth it. Had we been having trees trimmed or otherwise treated, my decision process might have been different.

I called three services for estimates, Dawson's was not the cheapest, but they are licensed arborists, and we felt that was important. Dawson came out quickly for an estimate. When I accepted their estimate they told me when to expect service and that they would call one day before coming out to trim the tree. They serviced the tree within the time-frame given and the work was professional. I was not home during the time of service, but they left the yard clean of all debris. I recommend this company highly.

I first contacted Dawson's via email on Friday afternoon, 7-26-13. They got in touch with me on Monday to get my address, etc. They came out Tuesday to quote on the job. So within 4 days of my initial contact, I had a price and lead time. I was happy with their price as they were significantly less than another tree company I contacted. They were out about 3 weeks for the job. Once they came they did a fine job trimming our big tree and cleaned up very well. They trimmed some of my neighbor's branches but I had to go out there and ask them to cut off more, which they had no problem with. I was very happy with them.

We received the estimate within a few days of my contacting Dawson via their website. They worked around our vacation schedule, calling me when we returned to confirm the date. They arrived when they said they would. I noticed that they had well-maintained equipment and their employees were wearing proper protective equipment. A contractor that takes maintenance and safety seriously is less likely to drop a tree through the roof of my house. They finished up in a few hours and returned the following workday to remove the stumps. They cleaned up well, leaving only the pile of chips from the stump (which they stated they would do on the estimate). When I need tree service again, I will call Dawson.
