The did an excellent job, They showed up on scheduled and did everything according to expectations. The price quoted is quite fair and their work is very good quality.

Timely response to my inquiry, timely inspection visit and quotation, excellent price, performed work within the projected time frame, and the job was done quickly and neatly. Exactly what you'd expect from real professionals.

Due to the weather and nature of their work it was estimated about 2-3 weeks out to have work done which was very understandable. They called a day before and gave me a heads up when they where coming. Job took less then an hour and all debris was removed from yard. I asked for some logs to be left for firewood which they did and left the logs in manageable pieces(14-16 inches) I would have no problem using them again or recommending them to someone plus they were fairly local to my address.

Prior to selling my house, I needed to remove a large Siberian elm that was slowly dying in my back yard. Like many Siberian elms, this one was 40-50 years old but already nearing the end of it's life. It was losing more leaves every year and had many large, dead branches. Even when it was pruned years ago, the positive effects of the lasted less than 5 years. So, I knew it was time for this tree to go. The big tree hanged over half of the house, the garden shed, and power lines, so I wanted a pro who could handle this safely. I contacted Dawson's for an opinion and Steve, their estimator, left a quote in my mailbox within 1-2 days. It was $500 to prune the tree or $1200 to remove it. I scheduled with Dawson's to cut down the tree and spoke on the phone with Steve about some of the specifics. Veronica, the office manager, did a great job handling the logistics and quickly emailed their proof of insurance that I had requested. I was told that it would be a 2-3 week wait due to the busy summer season, and I was concerned about finishing in time for the village pre-sale home inspection. Two weeks later, Veronica squeezed me into the schedule and the tree disappeared while I was away at work. They did a beautiful job, stump trimmed flush with ground and no damage to house or power lines. I called in my credit card info and everything was done. I loved that this huge headache as taken care of by just phone & email! I wish everything could be done with so little drama.

Steve and crew were great. From Steve's proposal delivery all the way through job performance, Dawson's Tree Service provided wonderful service. Steve was personable and answered every question and concern I had. The crew came by, did their job in about 2 hours and cleaned up the area well after completion. Was pretty neat watching them trim the tree, as well. Takes a lot of skill and confidence to be up that high off the ground. Tree looks great! I'm more than satisfied.

I called multiple tree services to come give free estimates to trim a locust tree of lots of dead wood and overgrowth. Approximately a week later (a holiday delayed the estimate) they came out and gave a written estimate. He was very professional and explained and suggested a plan. The estimate came in second highest, but I felt very comfortable that I would get a great job for the price. They arrived as scheduled. Had great equipment and plenty of workers. They completed the work in about two hours and climbed every inch of the tree to make sure they didn't miss anything. When they were done cleaning you could barely tell they had been there. The tree looks great! I will use them again and recommend them to anyone who needs this type of service.

This is the second time I have used Dawson's, and will definitely use them again. The price was fair and the crew courteous. Before they were done, they asked me to take a look and make sure it was the way I wanted the tree to look. They did an excellent job and were very professional. The person who was up in the tree even carefully moved a wren house full of chicks higher in the tree. I have large trees on my property, and over the last 30 years have had to have them trimmed. Dawson's will be my "go to" company because it is clear they know how to prune trees properly and how to treat their customers at a fair price.

I've used Dawson's in the past to remove a large magnolia tree from my front yard so this was my second use of their service. They were efficient and clean, fully completing the job to my satisfaction. Upon my return home I noticed a paver in my back yard was cracked. I followed up and was informed that the block may have been cracked when the team brought equipment into the back yard to grind the stumps from the p**** willows. Steve from Dawson's followed up with me and offered to replace the paver. To our dismay we discovered that the stone size we were looking for (24"x24") was very difficult to procure. Steve spent three weeks searching while I considered other options. We finally agreed to replace with a different paver style which Steve promptly purchased and delivered to my home on a Saturday. Very happy with the service and big kudos to Steve on the follow-up and for making things right. He and the whole crew at Dawson's were a pleasure to work with and I will continue to use their services in the future.

We contacted them about getting an estimate and we received an email the next business morning asking a few questions and I was told they would get the information to the estimator and they would be out this week. There was some miscommunication and when this was brought to the offices attention we were contacted immediately and the estimator was out the next day. They were very responsive and courteous and followed up as well. The price was higher then the company we did contract with, but we will definitely connect with Dawson again in the future for our further Tree removal for our other Ash.

Dawson's Tree Service was very responsive to our initial inquiry and came out within two days to provide an estimate. The estimate was provided in writing at the time of survey and done in a professional manner. The cost was extremely competitive (other estimates did not even come close to how low this was). Within a week Dawson's arrived and had removed the trees and debris. There were no hidden fees or agendas; just quick, fast, good service. We will use this vendor again in the future (we have a ton of trees) and highly recommend them!

Fabulous! I called the office for an estimate on Friday. The representative came out the following Monday. The work was done Thursday morning. I was worried the dead Ash tree would fall on my house, or worse, my neighbors house during the Spring storms. They cleaned up beautifully even taking some branches and roots laying next to my house since last summer.

They removed Crab Apple tree and ground up the stump as well as trimming 3 Plum and 2 apple trees. The trees were allowing access to my roof for squirrels that infiltrated my attached garage attic. Dawson Tree Service team cut back the 5 trees so access would not be allowed to the roof. They also thinned them out and cut bigger branches that overhung our neighbors yard. The crew was meticulous in their work. They said they would be here at 7:30 AM and at 7:29 AM they pulled up ready to work. This is the second time we used them and will use them in the future when additional work would be required. Their price was EXTREMELY FAIR and much less than a few other Angie members who also quoted the job. RECOMMENDATION Hire them to do your tree work.

They told me they could deliver the wood in the next 1-2 days after I called. I didn't have to be home for the delivery as they left it in the driveway.

I got a bid from Dawsons as well as 2 other tress services in my area of ChicagoLand. I selected Dawsons, and returned their signed proposal on a Thursday and the following Tuesday I was called to schedule the work for Thursday. No one was able to be home at the time of the work, and I told the Dawsons lady this when she called to schedule, but she said that was fine and they'd leave the invoice in my mail box when they were done with the job on Thursday. All went as planned, they cleaned up nicely after themselves, and all is good.

My neighbor is a tree lover, and has several trees - maple, pear, crab apple - lining my driveway. Over the years, this has caused me major problems with clogged gutters, animal attic intrusions, and roof damage. I called a couple of tree services for estimates. After reviewing the scope of work with Bob Davis, I accepted his bid and agreed on a date to start work. Davis has a great crew. They arrived on time, went right to work, and, using a lift, completed the job quickly and efficiently. After clean up, you'd never know they were there. I'd have no hesitation using Davis on any future work. Their professionalism is combined with a regard for the health and preservation of the tree.

They were prompt, and did a wonderful job.

They came out to take a look at our property and the trees and informed us that he would have to remove a couple sections of our fence to enter our yard through our neighbors yard. He spoke with the neighbors to ask if this would be ok and the wife informed him she would have to talk to her husband. A couple weeks went by and I never heard from them. I decided to call them to figure out what is going on and I guess they never followed up with the neighbor. It was unfortunate that they never had the courtesy to follow up with me about the job.

Dawsons was awesome. They came out to provide an estimate and then worked the job into their schedule. They did a great job, stayed true to the quote and cleaned up after themselves.

The five man crew and foreman arrived promptly at 7:30 AM and worked for three and 1/2 hours. The foreman introduced himself and gave information. Outdoor furniture and plants were removed from the patio to a safe area and replaced after completion of the job. A huge amout of branches were cut from the trees.. I thought the crew was efficient, thorough, professional and pleasant.. . The property was left looking neat.

Out of all the tree companies I called Dawsons was the most professional and the most reasonable as far cost goes. They provided a fair and prompt estimate and when the work was performed they were friendly, courteous and professional. I have a new neighbor and he complained of the maple leaves last fall and requested my branches be trimmed back from his property because the trees run the lot line and overhung into his. There was no way I could do it because of the risk of power lines and damage to property so I hired Dawson's. They did a great job and made it look effortless and cleaned up afterwards.

Their crew was on time, worked efficiently and left the area clean and neat. Will use them any time another one of my customers needs tree or brush removal.
