Excellent results-looks great-did a super clean up job! Very efficient work!

They were nice enough to work with me to come out when I was available to provide the estimate. Very professional and personable and gave a quote that was very close to a competitor. I went with the other company because I clicked better with that person, but I was very pleased with the way Dawsons handled the estimate process and would have been comfortable with them performing the work as well.

I was initially "nursing" a large box elder tree by having it trimmed every couple of years in the hopes of keeping the wonderful shade it provided, however I knew it would eventually have to be removed. When Steve, arrived to provide the estimate to either have the tree trimmed or removed, he understood my ambivalence and was considerate of my feelings. After I decided to remove it completely, the crew was very careful with my property and did a great job, which was difficult because the tree was located in a side yard adjacent to my neighbor. They also did a wonderful job of trimming a spruce tree. I would definitely use them again. Thank you Dawson's Tree Service and Angie's List!

The work was performed as discussed and the supervisor Steve came in to confirm satisfied with tree trimming at top before the guy climbed down. Happy they stuck to estimate.

We called on Tuesday to inquire about removing a pine tree that broke in a recent storm. An estimator came out and left an estimate in our mailbox on Wednesday (we were not home when the estimator arrived); we called back on Thursday accepting the (reasonably priced) estimate. They scheduled the work for "sometime in the next two weeks." A crew arrived the next Saturday morning, took down the tree, chipped it on-site, and raked up the area within a half an hour. They did exactly what they promised, for a reasonable price, and without any demands on our schedule.

I am extremely happy with the work. Steve was a pleasure to work with and the workers were very conscientious of my property. The quality of the clean up was astonishing. There was not a loose twig or leaf to be found on my lawn.

I was very impressed with the service I received from John Dawson and the entire Dawson's Tree Service team. They were extremely professional, efficient, mindful of my property and offered the best price. Would definetly hire them again and recommend to all in need of tree removal.

They did the work while we were gone on vacation. We returned home to find everything just as we had pictured and described to them. They did an excellent job cleaning up and left the logs to be left as firewood exactly where we instructed.

I called the following morning (June 20th), and Steve came out on the 24th to give us an estimate. It took a little longer than we expected to have someone come out to give us an estimate, but we were not an "emergency" case (the tree was not on top of a car, roof, or blocking our driveway) so we expected to not be at the top of the list. The one (and only) complaint I had was the girl taking the calls did not contact us to tell us Steve could not come out on the day(s) previously promised. Steve was great. He was very knowledgeable and helpful. He typed up an estimate on the spot and the work was completed the next day. When the crew left, there was absolutely no debris left behind - not even a leaf! We were very pleased with the professionalism of this contractor and we would definitely use them again and recommend them to friends.

These guys were great! We called for an estimate and they had one for us in a matter or hours. They showed up on time and let me know exactly what they would do. They got to work very quickly. The first tree was down in only 15 minutes. They had it cleaned up in another 15 minutes. The other trees were taken down in a similar manner. These guys worked quickly and cleaned up their mess as they went. They didn't even slow down when a cold rain started to fall. They only stopped when there was a thunderstorm coming through. They waited it out for about 30 minutes and then finished the job in the rain. I would not have been surprised if they had wanted to stop and finish the job later. They left the yard in great shape by filling in the holes left by the stumps with dirt and wood chips. We are now ready to add new landscaping. If we ever need help with our trees again, we will call them.

We called Dawsons and Steve called us back and set up an appointment to give us an estimate. Steve arrived on time, assessed the situation, explained what he suggested we do and was able to give us a TYPED quote from his vehicle. Steve really impressed me with his knowledge about trees and his passion for the service he and his company provide. My husband and I felt the price was reasonable and, (from the way Steve represented Dawsons Tree Service), had complete confidence in their ability to do a quality job. Boy were we right! Steve called us and scheduled an appointment. He and his team showed up on time, worked efficiently and cleaned up after themselves. They even took away some brush we had on our property! There are a few small mounds of mud and wood chippings where some of the larger stumps were ground up, but Steve told us that would happen the day he gave us the quote. We feel everything went very well. The expectation Steve set with us was met, (and exceeded), in our opinion. Even our neighbor used Dawsons Tree Service after we did, and he was very impressed with the job they did. We highly recommend Dawsons Tree Service!!

They knew a lot about the trees and about what they were doing. They were very easy to work with. They gave us all the free wood chips we needed.

They were right on time for the estimate and the job, knew exactly what they were doing, were reasonably priced, cleaned up completely, and were as nice as they could be.They actually threw in a little extra pruning for no extra money.

They provided an estimate 6 months previously, which they honored. They were quick and professional. Their estimate was easy to understand. They gave us several options. The tree that was removed was sick. They explained what could be done to save it, and the pros and cons of that.

Someone came promptly after we called for an estimate. After we accepted the proposal, they called to schedule and then called the day before to say they would arrive between 11 and 3. They arrived right at 11 and the supervisor walked around with me to confirm what I wanted. During the course of the trimming he checked with me and did a little additional trimming at my request. They cleaned up pretty well and gave me the $25 discount.

They sent someone out the next day to complete the estimate while I was not home. The estimate was left in the mailbox. Price was a little lower than the company that I chose to use. In the future, I would use this company instead because more details were given in their estimate and they were very professional during the times that I was in contact with them. They had a longer waiting list and that's why I chose to go with the other company.

I would use Dawson's again in a heartbeat. The work crew and their office staff are all exceptional. They let you know that they appreciate and value your business.

Service was terrific, punctual, and aesthetically pleasing. Service representative did a great job explaining options after providing estimates; was willing to match a lower price from another company; value was tremendous.

We didn't have to be at our home when they came. They just left the proposal in our mail box for us. They had the best price out of 4 different companies we checked with. They left our yard very clean.

Everything went according to plan. I came home, and noticed the job was done as promised.

Got estimate about a month earlier, but due to both our commitments, Dawson's didn't perform the work until 8/21, which was never an issue. They called one day in advance to notify me that the work would be done the next day and they were on time at 7:30 a.m. Work took approximately 2.5 hours and was done efficiently, including cleanup. Arborist appears to have a very good working relationship with the crew. Most notable event was the cherry picker they extended over my garage to get to the top of the cypress tree. No mishaps and utility lines than ran amidst the trees were not affected. Attached photos show the backyard work done. A previous owner had planted these trees about 15 years ago and I debated for a long time about removing them, especially since they overwhelmed the small yard. The cypress posed a possible hazard if hit by lightening. I also like space and light and plan to put grass in to keep it simple and open.

DID NOT USE THE COMPANY DUE TO HIGH ESTIMATE. THEY WANTED 1.500.00 I HAD IT DONE FOR 750.00....(PROBABLY DUE TO ALL THE OVERHEAD).

Mr. Dawson came out to provide an estimate of service cost and check for machine access. Due to the configuration of the yard it would prove difficult to relocate the tree. Mr. Dawson contacted "Julie" to have all underground utilities marked and in a little over two weeks a call was received that the tree would be removed on a Saturday. The crew arrived at &:30 and was most courteous in removal of the tree. Additionally, they trimmed the evergreen. We have used Dawson's before and would use them again in the future. Thanks for a job well done.

It went well. They were very prompt in providing an estimate. Once hired, they did exactly what was requested. They indicated it may take up to 3 weeks to get the work scheduled, but they ended up doing the work within 2 days of my authorization! They took care of the JULIE locate. Our son especially liked watching them run the chipper. They offered to leave us the wood chips. The work was done January 2008 in Downers Grove.
