Dawsons Tree Service Inc

We paid $275 for the job and that was at least $100 cheaper than the next bid. They said it would take at least 2 weeks to schedule, but they showed up within 3 days and completed the job and cleaned up everything. This is the second time we've used Dawson and am just as pleased as the first time. No need to get any other bids- they're fair and reasonable and do what they say.

Super friendly people from the folks who answer the phones to the guy who gave me the estimate to the crew who went up the tree. Their estimate was comparable with 2 others that I got, and they took my Angie's List coupon after the fact as well. When I scheduled they gave me a 3 week window and they came on the last day of those 3 weeks. I was told at the time of the estimate that they were booked about 2 1/2 weeks out. They arrived on time, did a thorough job pruning our tree and removing all the dead branches, clean up was excellent, and the were done in about 1 1/2 hours. They also accomodated my request that they come on a day when I could be home and they called 3 days in advance so I could make plans to be there. Overall a job well done!

They were courteous and on time and the work was completed when they said it would be finished and they cleaned up after themselves. I will continue to use their tree services again in the future.

Could not have gone smoother! They were able to do their job while I was at work. When I came home, the tree was nicely shaped and the yard was cleared of all branches. Most importantly, they were able to do the job without rolling a heavy truck onto our lawn.

We no longer have branches all of our backyard after a windy day. They cleaned up evereything after their service. We contacted several different tree companies in the area and a lot of they didn't return our phone calls. They responded quickly and provided us with an estimate. We are satisfied with their work.

Work was performed to my satisfaction promply on the day and time promised. Job supervisor made sure the mult-man crew performed the job correctly.

They did an excellent job. I think the owner is John Dawson. They came out and gave me an estimate. They told me that they would be here within a few weeks and they were here to do the work in a week. They did a fabulous job. I spent $325 on their services. I can’t complain about anything. I have a tree that was planted years ago that was too close to the house, and I thought that it might have to be taken down because it’s quite a large tree. Someone from the company came out and said that it was not necessary to take it down even though it was so large, and they trimmed it back for me. They just did an excellent job. I will use their services again in the future.

They were absolutely excellent. I got a thank you card and a Christmas card from them so I was very impressed all the way around. I had a coupon from Angie’s List. Everything was great. I would use them again in the future.

We called them right after a stormy weekend, when a large tree on a property we own fell over into a neighbor's swimming pool. They responded immediately, came right out within two days, did a great job and I found every part of the experience to be smooth and as expected. Great job and I would use them again anytime! Incredibly courteous staff at the office as well.

Steve came out on the 1st. I told him the backyard had been severely neglected for years and I need branches removed before they damaged my house/garage. I also had 3 bushes in the front that needed to be trimmed back. I am having a fence put in and needed all that growth removed. Steve pointed out the "garbage" (my term) saplings that were growing along the back of the house/garage and asked about removing them as well. He took the time to explain what should be removed, what should be trimmed back and what would eventually (years down the road) need to be removed. I had a printed estimate in minutes. When I saw the price, I immediately told him it was a deal. I had looked around on Angies List and everyone with A ratings (including Dawsons) made me think the job would be twice the price. Steve told me they were about 3 weeks out and to call the office if I needed it sooner than that. Turns out I got my plat of survey on the 11th and signed a contract for the fence on the 12th, so I called to say the sooner the better - on the 12th. Steve called me yesterday afternoon to say they would be here today. They arrived and were done in less than 2 hours. They cleaned away everything and left it looking great. In fact, they were done so fast, I didn't make it out the door with the check fast enough - they were already pulling away down the street. Steve stopped by about a half hour later to make sure it was done to my satisfaction and picked up the payment. what a bargain! great service at a great price!

I had an estimate done and after choosing Dawson's was informed that it would be about 4 weeks before they could remove the tree. Which was fine. 1 week later, they came and did the work. The tree was surrounded by hostas, and they managed to get to the stump without any damage. I was able to watch the whole process, which was pretty cool.

Wonderful. We will have more to be done and would definitely call Dawson's again!

I was very happy with this company. They were very prompt and professional. The crew was very respectful as well. They didn’t exactly what they said they would do. I wouldn’t hesitate to use this company again.

They were on time and did a great job. They tried not to damage any property. They did what they said were going to with the job and the price.

Was very happy with services performed. I went over any concerns or questions with Steve before they started and was easily able to talk to the foreman as well. They also removed 3 low dead branches on an evergreen fir tree at no extra charge. Steve also provided some info on a fungus on another small crab apple tree. The original estimate was for $680 but this was apparently for a full pruning of the trees which was not what I wanted. Steve re-estimated for $365 and added $50 during the job to remove an additional broken branch from the mulberry. Total paid $415. Happy with the price paid. There was some delay in follow up from the original estimate. They were backed up and got back to me within a week. job was scheduled very quickly. The service was performed very efficiently.

Due to the large number of downed trees due to the severe storm, it took about two weeks to get them to come out and give us an estimate, plus another week before they could actually do the work. We agreed that our job was not a high priority, as the tree was not on overhead wires, or blocking streets, sidewalks, or driveways, so they could give priority to jobs that were. The N/A for responsiveness reflects this. They were very professional and efficient. They did not do the stump grinding on the first visit; they asked that we contact JULIE to mark underground utilities first. But they did not ask for payment until the whole job was completed.

They were excellent! They returned our call immediately, and came by our home the very next day. Also, I think their pricing was very fair.

They gave me a professional estimate and when I called them back to schedule it, they fit me in pretty quickly. They showed up when they were supposed to and got all six trees down in a day. Couldn't ask for any better.

We did not choose this provider because another Angies List provider was over $500 lower, but I was very impressed with Dawson's punctuality. I would definitely consider them for other related items in the future.

The owner seemed very knowledgeable and confident about the work that they could do. It was nice of them that they did something that I did not ask for; there was a whole pile of leaves sitting in my yard, and they cleared that out for me. I compared their quote to a couple of other quotes, and their price seemed similar to other companies; however, I felt comfortable with the professionalism of the person I met with, and that is why I went with them. I would rate them highly and would use them again in the future if necessary.

They were professional, congenial, friendly and nice. They were quick, and the prices were reasonable. They even sent a Thank You note. They seemed to be conscientious. I would rate them highly and would use them again in the future if necessary.

We have used them around million times. They are local, and they are really good. I really appreciate the owner. He is a certified arborist. He really thinks about the health of the tree. He is not just there to cut down the trees. He really gives his advice to save the tree. There are not lots of tree guys who think like that. Most of them would just cut down the trees, if we ask them to. We always go to him because he will always tell the truth about the trees. He is amazing. His crew will be there, when they say they will be there because we have to go to the office. They get it done faster, and they clean up amazingly. We will continue to use them. I just think they are so professional. Few years ago, a bad storm took down my neighbor's tree. They didn't know what to do. So we called him, and he was there right away. We know that we could recommend him. They are more expensive than other people are; but we get what we pay for. He gives helpful advice on which tree to plant. He is educated, and he helps us decide, which tree to plant and to cut down. He is not like the other people we have called, who just cut down the tree and run. He said if our neighbors try to cut down our trees, which falls on the property line, then he asked us to call him, so he can talk to them to save the trees. He goes above and beyond. He cares about the trees.

A few of the larger branches that were removed had to be carefully cut and lowered since they were hanging over the house. No issues, spoke english and communicated details of the work to be performed in a profession manner. I wish all contractors were this good.

I asked to be call ahead of time and they did so and although I wanted to be here when they performed the work I was unable to be due to my schedule. When I came home the trees looked great and you could not tell that they had even been here, everything had been cleaned up extremely well. I talked to them before they came and was able to let them know my concerns and what I was hoping to accomplish. I was very pleased with their work and would hire them again.
