They were very responsive from the initial phone call. They estimator came out on time and was polite. He explained what the process would be and then wrote me the estimate. After getting other bids I decided to use J & S who was not the least expensive nor the most expensive. The workers came out as scheduled and performed the work from start to finish in approximately 4 hours. No hidden or extra charges. I would definitely use them again and would not hesitate to recommend them. I couldn't ask for better service.

Plumber was coming to a neighbor and added this call to the drive. Work was done quickly and well. Plumbers always seem expensive to me, and rating reflects that. Took less than an hour.

They originally came in to fix a toilet that was overflowing. After they left the toilet started to back up again. I called back and it was after 5:00 but they had a truck out again and determined that I had a broken main line outside of the house. They came back the next morning and dug out the broken pipe by hand and repaired it.

Smooth as silk. Sent repairman a few hours after AM call. Quickly did repairs and answered all questions.

I called the company at 8am and they said they could have someone out there early morning. Within an hour, someone was at my house and working on the drain. I was in meetings at work all morning, but I had my mom visiting who stayed with the J&S plumber. I called by 11am and my mom said the plumber didn't want to bother me in my work, but he left his card so that we could discuss when I had time. Very thoughtful. I called him back and he went over some of the other plumbing issues with me piece by piece. There was quite a bit of plumbing work that he suggested. I have an older home and just bought it, so I wouldn't doubt some work needs to be done. I appreciated the fact that he was willing to give me his opinion on the work, but not pressuring me by saying the house would collapse if I didn't do it now. He was not a sales guy, just genuinely interested in me understanding my house, I believed. Very helpful. I will use them again in the future.

Each time the workers arrived (for the estimate, and for the actual work) they were prompt, professional, friendly and knowledgeable. The work was well done, and I'm confident we won't have any problems. I think, also, we got a good price for all the work that was done. We didn't get any other bids, because these guys were so professional and knowledgeable, we figured they were the right ones. They also kept things neat and tidy.

Dispatcher indicated that I would receive a call within 10 minutes of my initial call and that's exactly what happened. Serviceman arrived within the hour following my request. He was courteous and quickly identified and fixed the problem. This is my second experience with J&S Plumbing and I've been impressed both times.

Very Pleased In summary, LOOK NO FURTHER. CALL THEM. So, I'm trying to complete a do-it-yourself project of replacing the mixing valve cartridge in a delta bath fixture that is 20 years old. It had a very small drip that could have been left alone but we wanted to replace/update the trim. While trying to remove the cartridge collar I twist the valve. So, the water has to stay off because this guy is gonna s*** water. HINT: if you have Delta- Call a plumber as the pros only have a 50/50 chance of repairing these things. Of course, the one they try to open has no problems (I know, the are the pros). The one I broke is replaced with superior quality and even took the time to show how it works. Now, this is a SUNDAY so, I'm thinking $$$$. I check out Angies list and come accross J&S. Good reviews and no extra charge on Sunday. Ya, I thought it might be a gimmick. Nope, it's the truth. They answer the phone and schedule an immediate appointment. They even call to say that the crew is a few mins away. They check things out and I see if I can spread the costs over a few projects that I have on the honey do list. I was surprised that the estimate was actually reasonable. Remember, this is SUNDAY. Ok, so, I have them start the jobs. These guys knew what they were doing and tried to do a perfect job. However, I think we just put too much on their plate. A few mishaps of their own and we are at 11PM. They could sense the kids getting tired. Everything seemed fine but it was late. To their credit, they could have opened up the wall to replace the valve and saved time. Remember, this was a flat rate bid. Instead, they really tried to do things right. Next morning, things are not what we expected. Nothing major. A quick call to the shop and they sent another crew. Repairs took about another 1.5 hours. The repairs are now complete. NO EXTRA CHARGE for the extra parts. I also had them bid on another project. The price is below what I would have expected.

We noticed water in the basement around the water heater and drain. The sump was filled with water to the top too. Called and described the problem. Plumber came out quickly and immediately determined that both the regular and the drain pump were out. Looked at circuit breaker and it was off, reset the breaker and the drain pump worked but the regular sump was shot. He replaced both pump and switch for the sump pump and recommended replacing the drain pump in the future as it is sounding weak (likely after 30 years). He finished just over 2 hours after we first noticed the water in the basement. Very efficient!

Over a number of years we had accumulated a list of minor but annoying plumbing issues, from dripping faucets, slow drains, inoperable shutoffs, and several others. We had tried to address each problem ourselves with no success. I finally decided to get things fixed and got the name of J&S Plumbing from Angies List and gave them a call. I got an appointment at a time that was convenient for me and Dave and Brendon arrived on time. We first went through the bathroom and basement while I explained the various problems. Dave listened carefully and presented alternative solutions and explained the reasons for each one. Since the house is over 50 years old and has galvanized piping, there was some risk of fixing one problem only to create another. I finally decided to just have the slow drain fixed on this visit. Although the drum trap on the tub was inconveniently placed over the heating/cooling ducts, Dave and Brendon were able to minimize the mess and get the drain rodded out to the soil pipe. The tub drain ran great!. They cleaned up after themselves and took all the mess out to their truck. Having done this ourselves years before, I knew what a mess it could be so I had draped the workarea in plastic drop cloths before they started. I think we were all satisfied with the way it turned out. I do plan to contact them again for the other projects.

service was puctual, they price was fair, they arrived on sunday at the time they committed, and their follow up was good

The guys were great. They came out and gave me a fair quote, really inspected the existing plumbing and answered any questions that I had. They are very knowledgeable about their job and were incredibly thorough. They told me the job would take about a day and ended up taking a day and a half because the work was a little more complicated than they anticipated. They did a great job. I would definitely use them again!

My son had installed a new faucet in the kitchen sink. It developed a leak in the pipe under the sink. He couldn?t fix it and so we called J & S Plumbing. They came out very quickly, the same day and fixed it. The wonderful thing was that they were able to send somebody out within a couple of hours after I called. He did a very nice job and stopped the leak. I had used them last year to fix a leak in the laundry. He came and did whatever had to be done, then too. They were speedy, efficient and very satisfactory. In connection with the other plumber that I had before, their price was fine.

Plumber was at our home within minutes of our call! We were completely satisfied with the work.

On Easter Sunday the sewer line backed up into our first floor toilet and bathtub. Within an hour and a half two young plumbers arrived, who promptly and efficiently assessed and fixed the problem. Both were very courteous and helpful in explaining how this had happened and what we should watch out for in the future (and how to solve that). Given that it was a holiday, it was a relief to find such pleasant and knowledgeable help so quickly.

They arrived within the hour of my calling and the young man that changed out my supply lines and re-leveled my washer was very nice and efficient. Yes, the call was pricey, but worth it so I could get to my laundry before the weekend. I would definately call them again and suggest them to other people in my neighborhood.

The company contacted me within an hour of leaving a message, the work was completed the following day. The plumber had the part on his van and was able to complete the work from start to finish in less than two hours. The work area was clean when the plumber left. The plumber was professional and knowledgeable.

It was a complicated job but they completed it. I felt that I was a bit overcharged.

They were the only people that I could find to come after hours. They didn't charge an exorbitant fee and the same person came back the next day to do the additional work. It was a really tight-fitting area and he did an excellent job. He kept at it until it was done.

I called this company from the ad in the phone book. My only toilet was not working and water was leaking into the kitchen and basement. The phone was answered by what I think was an employee as opposed to an answering service. He was very polite and said someone could be there by noon. Ten minutes later he called to say someone was on the way. The plumber was very polite and professional and knew all of the costs. He quickly took care of what needed to be done. He also suggested that I replace the bathroom floor and buy a new toilet sometime in the not too distant future - which I already knew needed to be done.

The project went fine. They replaced pipe that had collapsed around my external clean out that had been improperly installed the first time. They thought the project would have taken a day and a half. They would have finished in a day if the inspector had showed up when he was supposed to. They then rodded out the whole line, got rid of all tree roots, sent a camera down to make sure all was well. Whenever I have a plumbing problem these are the people I will call. Very friendly, courteous and professional, start to finish. Fair prices too!

The job went as well as could be expected. They sent out a three man crew. The lead guy (Daniel) was extremely professional, and a very pleasant guy.They were prompt, arriving before nine. When I got the estimate, Daniel was very honest about the scope of work to be done, and the potential problems that could arise. They were there most of a day, and cleaned up the site very well. They kept me in the loop of the progress, and came back for the city inspection the next day.
