My faucet has been leaking for years and the drip drip had accelerated to a pretty steady trickle. I called J&S in the morning and confirmed an appointment for that evening. I was given two options and chose the later one, 5 - 7 pm. I was told that the service guy would call me on the way. I called J&S at 6:45 because I had not received a call and it was almost 7:00. The call was taken by a service, and I received a call back from J&S within 5 minutes that the service guy would be there "any minute" having been dispatched 40 minutes ago. I would have appreciated a call when he was dispatched, as I was told I would receive one. This is the only nit I have to pick with J&S. The service guy showed up, quickly diagnosed my issue, let me know that he'd have to cut through the drywall in my garage, and gave me an estimate within 5 - 10 minutes. He did his work quickly and efficiently and was careful to cut a neat rectangle out of the drywall and replace it (did not do mudding but that's ok). He showed me a feature of the new faucet that drains water back into the water line, which will be great during winter. He reminded me to store my hose for the winter. He was professional and concise. If and when I have plumbing issues in the future, I will call J&S.

I have been using them for several years. Their last call went very well. They are always here within 24 hours if it is not an emergency. They are very friendly and professional. They are always good. I will use them again in the future.

I called and explained the to company I was having problems with my spiget in front of the house and that I wanted to schedule an appointment. He said he could have a plumber out sometime in the last afternoon once he finished is project . He game me an approximate time and sure enough he called and within an hour or some the plumber showed up with his assistant. The plumber was very professioinal and explained everything he was doing. He was able to fix the pressure valve which made me very happy cause I didn't want to replaced the entire spiget cause he would have gone into my crawlspace to proform the work. In the meantime I asked him to check on the spiget in the back of the house cause it was leaking. He tried to fix it but it was still leaking which had something to do witht the type of spiget. Since this was an easy fix to install the spiget I had them do it. Very please with this company and I have used them it the past.

They did a fine job. The price was reasonable. The people were very pleasant and they came when they said they would.

The technician was at my home on a Friday evening within an hour of contacting them. All my drains were clogged and backing up. Even though my plumbing issue will be more expensive, the technician called another colleague and they were able to implement a quick fix which was significantly less than performing the entire (multi-day) job. I will definitely be contacting them again for the larger project. They were very thorough in their explanation as well as professional.

I recommeded J n S plumbing to my father after I have had several positive experiences with them completing plumbing projects in my home. After recommending them to my father, I called and arranged for an appointment at his home for what we assumed was a blocked drain. Since my father was out of town, the house sitter met the plumbers in his home. In the 6 months he was not home, I went over to his home every other week to make sure everything was working properly. Everything at the home was in working order except for as it turns out the sump pump. After completing the work, several weeks later my father came home. He inspected the work, but noticed a smell coming from the chest freezer in the utility room where the plumbers worked on the pump. He opened his freezer to find out that it was not working and everything was defrosted. The smell and the mold was overpowering. He noticed that the plug had been pulled out of the freezer. In addition, the washer and dryer plugs were also pulled. Both the freezer, washer and dryer plugs were located right near each other under the circuit box. NO one had been in the house for 6 months except for the sitter and me. WE did not have any reason to unplug anything. After my father cleaned up the freezer, he called J n S plumbing. The person who took his message said they would talk to the workers and get right back to him. After 5 days he called them back; again with the same response. After he tried 3 more telephone calls and three and a half weeks later, their response was that no one pulled the plug and they were not responsible for anything in the freezer. My dad was then told if they pulled out any plug it would have been the washer or dryer. The washer and dryer plugs were pulled and were right next to the freezer plug. Approximately $300 worth of food was destroyed. The whole handling of the situation was very disappointing, I would have expected a more timely response and a more professional attitude from J n S.

J & S PLUMBING INC. were good. I written them an email confirming that they should come on a specific day. They had an issue and did not bother to show up. He did not bother to call or show up. They were fine though and did a good job when they did come.

called J&S due to overflow. They came at expected time. Did work fast, accurate and cleaned up afterward. Would definitely use again

Saturday night my bathtub backup up. I tried some easy fixes because I was worried about what a professional would cost. Nothing worked. I called several plumbers on Sunday, and kept getting answering machines. Nobody called back. Would I get my tub unclogged before Monday morning showers? Then I tried J&S Plumbing. They made my day: they answered the phone right away, didn't charge extra for weekend work, and their man Jason arrived right on time. He fixed the problem quickly and cleaned up great. The price was exactly what was quoted. Jason even gave me some advice about what to do and what not to do next time (I didn't know galvanized pipes are special). J&S and Jason, thank you for a job beautifully done! Your card is on my fridge and I'm telling all my neighbors about your great service!

They arrived in time and asked us what were our concerns. They went through and cleaned out our pipes, which had been stuffed with rags by the previous owner.

The project went smoothly. The plumbers are fast, friendly and extremely professional.

I had sewer seepage coming into my basement. I showed J&S exactly where it was seeping. They misdiagnosed what the problem was and thus didn't come up with the right solution to fix it. When they were finished I was out $2000.00, I still had the seepage and part of my patio had been jack-hammered apart. They would not respond to my calls and complaints so I had to hire a different plumber. I ended up hiring Capp's Plumbing, who looked at the problem and within minutes came up with a solution they said would take care of it. Which it did. Would highly recommend not using J&S Plumbing. Go to Capp's instead.

My kitchen sink backed up very early on a Saturday morning. I wanted to support my local community by hiring a company within Elk Grove Village. J & S Plumbing, Inc. had gotten high remarks from another customer for their prompt service and no weekend overtime charges. In less than two hours after placing my call for assitance, Matt showed up at my door and spent approximately 45 minutes power rodding my sink twice. He was polite, left my home clean, and restored my drain to working order in a very short period of time. True to another customer's comments, I incurred NO weekend overtime charges. J & S was also politely honored the better of two coupons I had. This was my first time having to hire a plumber in my home, and I would hire J & S again for any other plumbing services in a heartbeat. Thank you, J & S, for being a great local business!

J & S was quick to respond to my phone call. They have two crews, so work was scheduled for after 5 and I did not have to leave work early. They called when they were on their way and arrived on time. They were friendly and professional. They explained everything and cleaned up after themselves. I felt the price was fair.

I was very surprised to get an appointment on the day I called, which was great. Mike C. arrived and asked a lot of good questions to get a better read on what the problem might be. (He was very professional and proactive.) Since it appeared the sink drain was also connected to the branch pipe, he tried to rod through that first (before removing the toilet). That didn't work, so he had to remove the lavatory and rod from there. He did get everything flowing properly again, and made sure to test the toilet repeatedly to ensure the problem was fixed. Also, because we live in an older home in an area full of big trees - and lots of tree roots - he explained that if the problem returns, we'll probably need to have the line camera-inspected and rodded (which would probably be good "insurance" even if the problem doesn't return). We know that this is something we should do, and will definitely consider J&S. Note: The service call worked out well, but they need to tweak communication a little. Was quoted a timeframe of 1-3pm, but had to call them at 3:45 for an ETA, and they arrived around 4:30pm. If I had known it would have been so late, I could have run errands earlier in the afternoon. We have used J&S before to fix leaky faucets, etc. and they have always done a good job. When one faucet leaked again the day after they fixed it, they went above and beyond to send a plumber out at a convenient time to remedy the situation and even upgraded the replacement part, all at no cost. That showed us that they valued our business, which we appreciated.

I called J&S plumbing, they came out they same day I called. Mark Brown did the service, he was very courteous, helpful, cleaned everything up even gave us a 10% discount because we used Angie's list. I might add we had this same problem a few years ago, called a plumber who wanted 900.00 just to remove the toilet, we ended up fixing it ourselves probably why it broke again. Work is guaranteed for one year.

The sump pump was running around 3 am; It made a washing machine sloshing type sound while running continuously for 10 minutes. The power to was shut down at fuse panel to save motor. Called J & S Plumbing after consulting Angie's List. J & S had estimated service in the afternoon but called a few minutes later to say they now had a plumber available. Brian of J & S arrived 5 minutes after phone call; He entered crawl space and determined check valve had picked up debris causing exhaust pipe connection to come loose. He estimated the replacement of check valve at $265. I gave him my approval and gave him the 10% coupon. He completed the work and checked the operation when power was restored to pump. Brian was friendly and professional. He also took care to avoid tracking snow into house. Job was completed in 30 minutes. I will definitely use their services in the future.

They were prompt with the service call and very helpful explaining the estimate and how long the job would take. He cleaned up after the job and was very thorough. I would recommend them and plan to use them again when needed.

J&S sent out a plumber, Mark, within a few hours of my call to them. Mark was incredibly nice and in fact, apologized that I had to go through this. He fixed the problem quickly and when I was ready to pay, he asked if I had any coupons. I told him that I was a member of Angie's List, but hadn't pulled any coupons. I immediately called J&S because I had been pleased with their service before and didn't feel the need to check the list. He then gave me the 10% discount as a member and thanked me for my business. I couldn't have asked for better service or a plumber who was as polite and caring as Mark. He is an excellent representative for J&S!

I was installing a water line to my fridge and broke the cold water cut off valve. Called J&S for repair and within 2 hours the repair was done!

We spent a lot of time during the initial estimate discussing whether I needed to rip out my entire recently remodeled kitchen cabinets so they could replace all the galvanized pipe and connect the sink of my 1926 house to a vent. They also proposed jackhammering around the inside of my basement to repair a drain tile that I'm not sure is broken. When I told them that just wasn't in budget they pushed that it wasn't up to modern code but admitted it would be grandfathered in. Once they did the work on the sink. they filled both basins to check the drainage, and I think they expected a lock to happen because of air starvation, but the test revealed a rapidly draining sink. They don't charge extra for nights or weekends. We had them work on a Saturday. Their prices were a little higher than other plumbers who quoted, but with no surcharge for Saturday, it worked out to be fair pricing. The actual work done was great quality and they worked quickly and seemed very knowledgeable. The B for responsiveness is only because I never got a call back to confirm or quote adding the ice line and garbage disposal before they came out for the other work, despite calling three or four days before they were scheduled. I would hire them again, but I'd make sure you have a good idea of what you're willing to do and what you're not willing to do so you don't get talked into a potentially unnecessary job to get up to modern code standards in an old house that has old techniques grandfathered in.

I appreciated the work involved by the second plumber and certainly wish the first plumber had been as interested in looking for other options in the house (the crawlspace access and rodding into the house). They weren't terrible, I just wish it could have been done fully the first time.

Came out saw the problem, all we had to do is wait for pump part to come in the next day and it was done. Have used in the past and they have always been very responsive.

I called J & S Plumbing in the morning to tell them I had a leaking pipe, and that I had my water turned off to decrease additional damage to my basement and paneling. They responded the same day. Mark & Paul were very courteous and professional. They arrived within the time frame promised and quickly replaced that portion of the pipe. They ensured that there were no more leaks. I was very pleased with their responsiveness and the results

We were hearing the constant noise of water running through pipes, and after searching for leaks in the crawlspace and under the sinks, we found that it was coming from one of the hose faucets on the outside of the house that was leaking. I called J&S and they sent someone out to look at it. The repairman replaced the faucet with a new frost-proof anti-siphon model. Unfortunately, he had to cut through the lower corner of my dining room wall to access the pipe, but he was very apologetic about it, and did it very neatly and made the hole as small as he could. He even used my vacuum to clean up the drywall dust when he was finished. I was very pleased with the service, both with the repair work and the phone contact when I initially contacted J&S, and I will definitely call them in the future for any plumbing work we require.
