The tenant regularly drops her monthly rent payments at Dick West Real Estate's office. In the midst of her lease, Patrick solicited the tenant to purchase a foreclosure unit. The tenant expressed concerns about the remaining lease, which ends in October, and Patrick assured her that he would find another tenant. Patrick mentioned to us 2 months ago that she might be moving, but we never heard anything of the sort from the tenant. Patrick further advised 2 months ago that he was abruptly fired by the tenant. On June 1, Patrick West called me and advised that the tenant closed on the foreclosure and had just moved out, reneging on the lease. Patrick's name was on the contract and he confirmed that he went to closing and received a commission. He attempted to pacify me by advising he can find a tenant, but I reminded him as I told him 2 months ago that my nephew is moving into the condo in October and that attempting to find a tenant for what would now amount to a 3 month period is of no value. I have now lost 4 months of rental income at a total of $3800.00. This is completely unprofessional and a complete conflict of interest to have represented me in the placement of the tenant and to represent the tenant in the purchase of another property, thus encouraging her to break her lease. I will also be reporting this action to the board of realtors. Dick West Real Estate should refund the rental commission of $950.00 that was paid to him.

Pat facilitated the real estate transaction from start to finish with no problems what so ever. If you are in the market to purchase a home in the mchenry county or surrounding areas, he's the real estate agent you need to do business with. I have referred him to over a dozen of my closest friends already. He is now helping me look for a investment property. Take my advice, if your in the market for real estate in these tough economic times and you want to actually close on a home call Patrick West and Dick West Real Estate they will take care of you hands down.
