The only warning is that the basic price for a home visit is high, so a minor problem can cost; however, overall the prices seem reasonable. I have in the past had a basement tub replaced and a water softener replaced at what seemed like a reasonable price.

Description of Work: I had the plumber come to my house to remove the one-way valve within the sump in the bottom of my swimming pool. He was unable to remove the valve and to make things worse, he cracked the bottom of the sump. He then walked by me on his way to the truck and said, "Well, I broke it. Call me if you need anything else." No explanation. No apology. Just a $55 bill two weeks later. I paid the bill. I called in a swimming pool contractor to replace the broken sump. The bill was $1,350 which I paid. The plumber refused to reimburse me.

 + -1 moreThis was the fourth time that I have called them and they do it right first time. Other times were new washer connection, leaking bathtub handle and leaking copper hot water pipe. I have a 100 year old house and the men have like 30 years of experience so they come with the van that seems to have everything in it so the jobs are done under 30 minutes. Always on time too.
Description of Work: Water heater thermocouple change today.

Description of Work: Came out very quickly. Did a nice job. I have used them twice.Once for an emergency back up on my sewer. They did a great job, came out fast and I thought it was fairly priced.However the second time I used them to repair/replace a leaky bathtub facet and though I was very happy with their work, i feel their hourly price was high. I feel the technician should have given me some idea what a bill was being run up. I had no idea that this repair was running me $400 to replace a faucet. The owner did make a reduction on the materials when i called to complain about this high bill which was appreciated.So i would be sure to get estimates first or along the way, but i would trust them to do the do the work and i would give them the chance to give a bid or i would call them in an emergency.

 + -1 moreThey were really good. they were really fast, they showed up and I was happy with their service. They showed up within a half hour to take care of the sewer back up. Then they gave me billing that I needed for my insurance claim. I was happy and I would call them again.

 + 0 moreSaid replacing a rubber ring in the faucet would stop the leak and be cheaper than a new faucet, so they did that. Problem solved. They spent about 15 - 20 minutes on the actual fix and charged me for well over an hours labor. Travel time and alll that, I suppose, but my town is smalll enough you can drive any where in 10 minutes. Seemed excessive to me.
Description of Work: Called them to fix a leaky kitchen faucet.

 + -1 moreThey are punctual and responsive. The quality of work is great. The prices are high, but I think all plumbers are high.
Description of Work: G'S R Plumbing & Heating Inc replaced a leaky valve with a lever valve on our water main. They have also done furnace repairs for us a couple of times.
