I first went there to see if they could supply all that I needed for my new construction home. I sat down with a young lady (the only female salesperson) and we discussed shower fixtures and toilets. She seemed new to many things and so she would ask a man occasionally and I mostly pointed at pictures and she wrote down the number for that item. Then she quoted all the things we discussed. My husband and I returned to the store 2 weeks later. We used our plumber s to account and he would pass on most of the discount to us. We decided on the shower fixtures, toilets, toilet seats and we discussed our shower. Again, we were told to point at the pictures of what we wanted and choose the color from paint chips. We chose a color which was an upgrade and were told that it was a special order item and we would have to wait. The shower base we choose was to be 6" to 8" high and I specifically asked her how high it was so I could get started on the tile that was going on the walls. They told us to wait to do the tile on the walls until the unit came in so it would fit perfectly and you want the base in before you "durock" the walls. We were waiting to order the doors too for the same reason since the walls built by us may vary slightly. We waited and the order was finally ready. Our plumber sent another person to pick up the ordered items. He came over the next day and asked why we had changed our minds on the shower unit as it would be practically impossible to put "that in now". Confused I went to see what he was talking about. They had sent us a full shower unit in one piece including walls and base! My plumber took it back immediately. They would not accept it. He put it on their dock and left. The next day we got confirmation from MEYER COMPANY it was inside and unblemished but that they would not take it back. After intercession from our plumber, they agreed that they had ordered the wrong item number and would take it back. We ordered the correct item when they said they would take it back and we were waiting for it to come in. Then they changed their minds again! What we were waiting for, I found out, is for it to be manufactured by NATIONAL who does work for KOHLER using their special materials. NATIONAL called our plumber who and said that is was ready but we were told that they had used the bottom of the container for our unit and it had some imperfections and foreign substances so was not pure. It would not correctly match in color or texture the other items and we should go look at it. We did and said we would accept it at 50% of list. Now MEYER said that they would only exchange this non-warrantied second (200.00) for the full shower (550.00) that we never ordered or wanted. Our plumber had already paid his bill so withholding payment is not an option. Don t Do business with them.
