After first scheduling with GE to identify the problem with our GE refrigerator, they became a nightmare to work with. Nick saved the day! He was able to replace the broken part that GE had identified within 24 hours of my first call; meanwhile, GE said they could only schedule the part replacement appointment 10 days out because they had to order the part. When you have a refrigerator that is not cooling properly, you absolutely don't have 10 days to spare. When I asked Nick about timing to obtain the part he thought he'd either have it on hand or could get it from his parts dealer that day. He gave us a two hour window (versus 4 hours from GE) and was prompt and fast with the repair. And in the interim, he was a great communicator with excellent follow up. I hope I won't need to call him again about the refrigerator any time soon, but whether it is the fridge or a different appliance that has issues, Nick will absolutely be my first call. Thanks Nick!

The best appliance repair company out there. Nick is knowledgeable, professional and honest. He is direct and will let you know your best option, even if it's a replacement. If he does work for you, his rates are the best around. So far he's repaired 2 refrigerators for us and counseled us on two other appliances. Nick is also very responsive and respects his customers. Even if he's jammed with other work, he makes the time to talk with you on your needs. If you need appliance or HVAC work, you can't go wrong with Nick and Windy City.

This is the 2nd time I used their service. Nick was out in a couple of days and had it fixed in a few minutes. Great service, fair pricing and he knows what he is doing. He replaced the original ignition device for variable burner in a Thermador Stove.

I had called another company that had done work for us before but he did not want to do the work because the large Thermador stove (6 burners) would need to be pulled out in order to fix it. Nick came, determined the issue and had to purchase additional parts which he did and was back within an hour to complete the job. He also fixed the ice maker that a Kitchen Aid preferred repairer couldn't fix. His pricing was also very reasonable. I would call them again if needed for any appliance and have recommended him to a few friends who were very satisfied.
