No animals were caught and there were none in my attic. Mr. Graves was nice enough to leave wire meshing in the damaged areas to prevent animals from entering until I can get it repaired.
Description of Work: I have several damaged areas in my soffit and fascia and had heard noised in my attic. I assumed it was a raccoon. I spoke with another animal removal agency who requested money upfront which I wasn't going to do. Unfortunately I can't remember the name of the agency. Mr. Graves from Urban Wildlife Response came out, explained the whole process, and set up the traps. He maintained contact during the week and checked my attic afterwards.

We had an opossum that had started hanging around our yard at night, and it was driving the dogs beserk. I called Myron (left a message, and he called back within an hour) and he came out the next morning. He looked over the yard and set up two traps, and by 10:30 that night we had our culprit. Myron was back at 8 a.m. to take him away. Problem solved. In addition to getting this done for us so quickly and professionally, Myron is one of the most personable people I've ever met. Super friendly, knowlegeable, and funny. He obviously loves his work and takes pride in it. Who would have thought that having a possum removed would be such a pleasant experience!

He was exceptionally good. His prices were very reasonable. He was very professional and knowledgeable, and I was very impressed with him. He was able to deal with a total of 5 different unit owners, even though they did not necessarily get along themselves. The other unit owner were involved in paying for this as well.
Description of Work: There was a raccoon in my daughter's unit, but it was traveling from unit to unit. He found the entry point for the racoon and the squirrels on the other end other units. He repaired the entry points as well. He ended up catching 3 raccoons.

Myron responded promptly to my call. He thoroughly checked for all possible points a raccoon could be gaining entry and set traps, starting with nonlethal cage traps, but trying different approaches when they didn't show results. As it turned out, the raccoon was apparently transitory, but squirrels were going in and out of the roof. Myron caught 3 of them at the entry point, maintained the traps and checked back over several days until sure that nothing was inside, then repaired the hole where they were getting in. He was friendly, conscientious, and highly professional. The fee was reasonable for the time and effort he put in.

We had a squirrel dig a whole into the fascia of the house and raise a family in winter/early spring. Myron came out when the young were already exercising on the roof and set a trap by the hole. However, the squirrels then didn't re-enter the hole and no squirrels were caught. Myron promised then he would come out again and not ask for the setup fee. We replaced the fascia and removed branches and a tree so squirrels couldn't get onto our roof In the summer, the mother squirrel dug a hole in exactly the same spot to raise another family. She came over a power line and made it up there - that spatial memory was remarkable. We immediately called Myron on the Friday the hole was dug and he came out Monday morning. Over the course of 2 weeks he caught the mother squirrel that had dug the hole, 4 other squirrels on the ground, and 1 skunk that happened to end up in one of the cages. During this time we also discovered that a mother rabbit was raising her 3 young in our small backyard. Myron caught the young rabbits to relocate them. At the end he also patched the hole in the fascia so we wouldn't have to deal with other animals like birds using it until we have it replaced again. The money spent is the combined setup fee from this spring plus the fees per caught animal this summer. As others have said, you don't wish to have an animal problem, but with Myron, who is personable and reliable, one is in best hands. Highly recommended for all wildlife management needs.

Myron was a little hard to get a hold of at first but responsive when contacted. He gave me a fair price after examining the situation and he did a through job with patience. He was willing to complete the job for as long it would take. He tried to be humane as well as he could but that does not always work out. Good personality and I would use him again if needed.

We've had a difficult time ridding our raised wooden deck of raccons, in part because we live near the forest preserve. In advance of doing work on the deck to prevent animals from continuing to live underneath, we hired Urban Animal Response to remove the raccoons that we were currently residing under our deck. He was available right when we needed him to perform the work. He always was timely, professional, and courteous, and made sure we were aware of the steps he was taking to trap the animals as well as a contingency plan if the current steps we not working. Myron successfully trapped and removed all of the raccoons that were on our property and took steps to ensure that all animals were removed. We would highly recommend Myron and his company; they are professional and you can tell he genuinely cares about doing a good job for his clients.

You never want an animal problem, but if you do, Myron is your guy. He was great! He was very responsive and so consistent, coming out almost daily to check the traps and work on catching the critters who had taken root in our crawl space. He worked relentlessly to solve the problem and catch all of the animals. Myron is very nice and personable and his price, for the amount of time he spent with us, was VERY reasonable. I hope to not have the problem reoccur, but if it does, Myron is on my speed dial! Highly recommend.

Description of Work: We called for assistance & they responded within 1 day. Arranged appt, arrived on time, very courteous, friendly & professional. Able to identify unknown guest staying in sunporch area. Set traps, caught the uninvited. Came out & checked for any outstanding family members over next several months (none were present). Also, wildlife proofed outside & inner foundation area under sunporch where probable entry occurred. Always kept us informed, always arrived on time. Not that this matters, but it helped us ...good sense of humor which helped take the edge off having this problem.

We have worked with Myron several times to deal with various "urban wildlife" including squirrels, pigeons and even a pregnant raccoon. In every case, he has been very easy to deal with and takes care of the problem. In this case, he came out to the house to see the damage, came back several times to catch and remove the squirrels, and then patched up the damage. We did not pay anything until the job was finished, and the fee charged was very fair. I would recommend him to anyone dealing with a pest problem.

Myron was a amiabe, punctual, and he did great work. Other services we called wanted to use ultrasonic devices to encourage the raccoons to leave. Myron just trapped them. This approach seems much more complete than just scaring them away this week so they can come back next week. In conversations with Myron, I was impressed with the depth of his knowledge. For example, he found strands of fur and claw marks on the roof and ground that I would never have seen. He figured out exactly where and when the racoons were moving and how they accessed our roof. This guy was really, really good. While I admit that I hope to never have to use Myron's services again (fingers crossed), I would not hesitate to call him for any type of wildlife removal. He was fast, professional, personable and talented.
Description of Work: We had a racoon (two, I think!) in our attic. Myron did a fabulous and professional job setting traps, working with our schedules and taking care of this problem. He then repaired and reenforced the roof to prevent a recurrence.

Myron was fantastic--professional, courteous, thorough, efficient and personable to boot. After pulling out the stove and removing a kitchen cabinet, he was able to tell where the odor came from. He donned his suit and mask and in a matter of minutes had wound his way through the very small crawl space opening, through an opening in a partition, and emerged with the dead animal. He gave me suggestions for preventing future problems and odor control, and sealed everything up again. I highly recommend him for trapping or removing animals. He is not an exterminator.

I was very impressed by Muyron's responsiveness and dedication to getting the job done. He inspected my roof and attic, to dtermine how the racoon had been able to get into the attic. To my embarrassement, he dicovered that the animal had entered through a winow that had been left open. He told me that the racoon had probably left for the day, but, just to be sure he wasn't still there, he set traps. Fortunately, Myron was right that the racoon had gone, and after a week, he returnd to remove the traps. Overall, Iw as very impressed with Myron's knowledge of animal behavior, and how willing he was to do whatever was needed to help me.

Squirrel was removed - in a non-lethal fashion (I really did not care how it was removed, only that it was). Myron was a pleasure to work with,cost-effective and professional. I would recommend him and use him again
Description of Work: Had a squirrel living in the duct work on the 4th floor of a condo building. Myron, the trapper, was great and even built a special trap to catch the squirrels. The squirrel was eventually captured and for the next several weeks, Myron maintained contact with us to ensure that no other squirrels were living in the fan exhaust pipe.

Squirrels gained entry to the attic of my townhouse. I called Urban Wildlife Monday and described the situation; they scheduled a visit for Tuesday to assess the situation. Arrival Tuesday was prompt, assessment made (they examined the entire attic perimeter closely before concluding that the vent was the only entrance), quote given. I accepted the quote, and they set up traps. During the attic check two of the squirrels escaped into the house proper; both were captured immediately. Wednesday's visit revealed that the remaining squirrels had ignored the traps. Plans were made for a visit Thursday to escalate, adding tube traps at the vent, blocking all other avenues of ingress to / egress from the attic. Thursday one squirrel was discovered in the traps already present; the new traps were added. Friday Mr. Graves had some mechanical trouble with his truck, delaying his return one day. Saturday he arrived, discovering no further trapped squirrels; they had made no attempt to gain entry during the intervening two days. After a thorough examination of the attic space, he secured the vent with a heavy-gauge mesh, painted to match the outside color of the house. Before his departure, Mr. Graves again expressed his surety that no squirrels remained within, but that were I to detect any I should let him know promptly. In the quote he guarantees his work as long as he's informed within 30 days, which I sincerely hope not to test. I was impressed by Mr. Graves' professionalism at all stages, as well as his ability to remain calm in the face of some surprisingly aggressive wildlife. His assistant / partner / apprentice (not sure what his role was, precisely) was also unfailingly polite and professional. Both were quite conscientious about tidiness when passing through the house. This is my first paying experience with animal control and I did not collect any alternate quotes; I therefore have no basis for cost comparison. The price as quoted seemed rational for the potential work investment, and was a flat rate for the job, however long it may have taken. Subjectively I consider this to've been perfectly fair. The 'A' price rating is as much a reflection on the financial discussion (short, straightforward, and without caveats) as the actual cost.

It turned out that we had two squirrel nests, one on each end of the house. The squirrels were humanely caught in live traps placed on the roof and relocated. Myron also captured squirrels inside the attic. There were so many squirrels, it took about a week to account for them all. Once all the squirrels were out, Myron patched the holes that they were using to get in. Myron was very professional, had well-kept equipment and was always punctual. Also, as animal lovers, we were very impressed not only with Myron's professionalism, but the humane way he handled the captured squirrels. Not only did he know a lot about squirrel behavior, the better to capture them, but he seemed to genuinely like them. We were completely satisfied with everything he did.

One squirrel probably got into the house through an open door to the crawlspace under the house. We weren't able to get it to go out the door of my study and it ended up hiding in the wall where there was no exit except the way it got in. I tried to trap it with my own live trap, but the squirrel would get the bait, but wouldn't be in the trap. This I later learned was because the trap was too big and there was a space at the bottom where it was able to get through. I called Urban Wildlife control to remove this critter. Coincidently, After Myron came and set the smaller traps in my study, we heard noises in the fireplace and he set a trap there. Within an hour we'd caught a squirrel that had come down the chimney. The other squirrel was avoiding the traps (this squirrel had learned from the trap I had used, but the trap was too big to catch him), but finally escaped through a window that I left open for it. I was only charged for removal of the one squirrel. (I put flour on the window sill, and when the squirrel crossed the flour, he left tracks in the jam, and I knew that he'd gotten free). DO try to contain a squirrel in your house to a small room or area where you can leave an open window or door. DON'T trap it with too big a trap or it'll just learn that traps are to be avoided!
Description of Work: Myron was prompt, thorough, professional, knowledgeable and friendly. Helped me get two squirrels out of the house.
