Description of Work: Really, we have hired these guys more times than I can count and I can't remember dates- everything costs a different amount. Just to be clear - they aren't fixing the same thing over and over. We have four apartments here so we call them maybe 2 or 3 times a year on average. Here is what i have to say: This is a family owned business around the corner from my house. The wife stays in the store (which sells used refrigerators and stoves), and the father (Luis) and his sons are the ones who respond to calls. Luis and his sons have helped us with major and minor jobs- clean and check, broken central air, mysterious problem with the heat turning off every time it got below 10 degrees (turned out the exhaust pipe was getting frosted over, carbon monoxide couldn't escape, and the safety valve was shutting off!). Like a good car mechanic, they don't oversell you on going to lengths that you don't need (for example, they didn't insist on ripping out the pipe and re-building it so it wouldn't frost over - they just knocked off the ice, which we can do ourselves next time, and charged us something like $15 for coming over). They are professional, they charge very reasonable prices, and for what it is worth, I like knowing that I am hiring people in the neighborhood who I see every day. I always tell people to call them, but many people can not deal with service providers who don't always come at the appointed time. Some times they do, some times you have to call them to find out they are running an hour and a half late (which really means three hours or more). If that is a deal breaker, then you won't be happy. If you can get past that, you'll be very happy.

Description of Work: fix leak and replace freon in ac condenser unit

Description of Work: My heat wasn't working, so they came out and did some troubleshooting to figure out what was going on. It turns out that there was ice from condensation building up on the filter for the outside vent and blocking it, and it was causing the safety mechanism to shut off the furnace. They extended the PVC pipe so that the exhaust would not be so close to the vent, which was causing the ice to build up.
