Arturo could not have been more professional and friendly on my first meeting with him. He took his time with me explaining all about what goes into tearing off an old roof and putting on a new one. He also told me I had a choice of colors that i could choose from for my new roof. He answered all my questions I had and there were many.My husband and I first meant him on 5/12/15 and then asked him to wait until the week of June 1 st., which he did. His company showed up promptly June 2nd. bright and early, 7:30 am and got right to work. The work was completed the next day. Everyone was very nice and friendly and professional. Before they left to complete their work the next day the men made sure the work area was all cleaned up. and when the work was all done the work area was spotless. Progressive Roofing & Construction did an excellent job. Also they stayed within my price range. They gave me an estimate and did not go over it. I would not hesitate to recommend this company to anyone who needs a roofing company.

Oscar, Ray and Arturo were excellent to work with. They explained various options, solved a mysterious leak issue and their customer service was outstanding. When I checked on Angie's list for a roofer I couldn't have imagined that they number of positive reviews could be true. The real truth, this company is even better than their A rating. I called on a Monday and they came out to inspect within two hours! Quote came in at the average roof replacement in my area based on my research. Jose the lead roofer and his crew were efficient, professional and master craftsmen. I will use them on future jobs that I have!

Ray addressed some concerns I had about water penetration. He nailed and caulked down roofing tiles that have popped. His advice was informative and appreciative.

Art was wonderful, and the house looks absolutely beautiful. He was responsive, helpful, and seemed to really know his stuff. Because he is located in the same town as our house, he stopped by to write up a quote within hours of our initial contact. It is a rental property, and we were a bit nervous about having work done while we weren't there to "supervise". (Actually, we would get in the way and ask dumb questions! :-) He did not like the way our previous roofer handled a flat porch roof, and he gave us a detailed description of what was wrong and how he would approach the repair. Obviously, a new roof is a very expensive proposition, so we did a lot of research first. Every bit of advice he gave us aligned perfectly with our research, and just confirmed that he was the right guy for the job. When we requested a few extra tweaks--a different brand of shingles and copper flashing--he was totally cooperative and willing to oblige.It was one of the least painful interactions we've ever had with a contractor! Highly recommend this company.Oh yeah, they did a great job of cleaning up and didn't damage any plants or landscaping either. :-)

I was disappointed. I paid $129 for a SALES CALL. I'm sure I could have gotten many roof companies to do this for FREE. I thought they I was paying for them to look over my whole roof and give me a thourough inspection and talk to me about the condition of my roof. The sales person mainly talked about how I can try to get my insurance company to try pay for a new roof. I don't doubt that what he was saying was legitimate information about the hail storms that happened last year, but he really only looked at one part of my roof where I said I had some water damage and did some minor patch work in that area and that's it. This was a sales call! I asked him what it would cost his company to give me a new roof and he would not/could not give me that number. It sounds like they only want to go through your insurance company!

Great experience. They were easy to schedule and the serviceman showed up right on time. While up on the roof, he performed basic maintenance and photographed everything before and after for reference. He reviewed everything with me before he left. I am extremely satisfied with the service.

I started to have some leaks in 2 rooms so I paid for the inspection. When he came to the door he gave me his card, I think his name was Ray. He found the reason for the leaks & an easy fix that I could do. He explained the condition of the roof & approximate lifetime of when a replacement may be needed. He checked for storm damage, but there was very little. It gave me a great sense of relief as I was afraid he would say I needed a replacement. I certainly would get a bid from Progressive if I am still in the house when the roof needs replaced. I appreciated the honest opinion instead of trying to sell me something I did not need.

Arturo showed up on the day we scheduled to discuss the job. He went over the entire process and suggested some options to improve air flow in my attic. I chose to just go with the roof replacement and his crew showed up on time on the day to perform the work. Initially Arturo thought it would be a two day job, but because of the possibility of rain, he had extra guys show up so they could get everything done in one day. The new roof looks great - I've gotten many compliments on it. I would highly recommend Progressive Roofing and would use them again if needed in the future.

Overall, I cannot say enough positive about Arturo Chavez and his crew. Also, before he delivered his proposal, Arturo asked lots of questions about my needs and listened to what I had to say. Finally, I had questions about the IKO shingles Progressive bid, but he convinced me the poor reviews they got were due to a formulation they had discontinued about five years ago. I checked the reviews and found that almost all the bad reviews I had seen were over five years old. As I made clear in my note to roofers, I wanted, not only a new roof, which I needed, I wanted to improve the ventilation in our attic. According to ComEd, we use less electricity than 80% of our neighbors in the winter but more than average in the summer. Because the air conditioner is relatively new, we figured it had to be the dark roof and/or attic ventilation. So we asked people bidding on our roof to make sure the attic was well ventilated. Arturo was the only one to climb into our attic to check it out before bidding. His price was not the cheapest, but he was willing to do more to help me with my air conditioning problems. His people showed up promptly on the agreed date. Because this job entailed so much more than just stripping off an old roof and replacing it, it took three days of labor for his team to complete the work. At the end of each day, they cleaned up our yard and made sure there were no bare spots on the roof. During the roofing job, he noticed that two lots of shingles had slightly different colors. I told him I wanted to inspect. He told me that if I wanted, they would take all of one color off and bill IKO to make sure I got a set of shingles that matched. By the time I got home, he had the IKO sales rep on site. I climbed on the roof. I could not tell the difference in the colors, but Arturo wanted to be sure I was satisfied. I still cannot tell the difference. When they installed the new skylights, they put quarter round in on the inside of the skylights. His team attempted to cut bevel cuts with a circular saw. The workmanship did not meet his standards. He made them come back with a miter saw and redo the work. At the end of three days, he and his crew finished. He invited me to go on top of the roof to inspect. The shingles looked very uniform. As I walked around the grounds at the edge of the eaves, I could not find a single nail. So far, during the few hot days we have had during the past few weeks, we have not had to use the air conditioner. If you want a quality job from a team that takes pride in its work, I recommend hiring Progressive.

Oscar and Jonathan called to let me know they were running about 20 minutes behind, which I appreciated. When they arrived Oscar explained what they were going to cover in their inspection. He also asked me if I had any known concerns or issues that I wanted them to check out. They then went to work on my roof. When they were done, Oscar explained in great detail and provided photos of what they had encountered and addressed on the roof. I was very impressed with his professionalism and knowledge as he explained to me the health of my roof. I also felt very comfortable and confident in his explanation. I will absolutely look to Progressive for any future work I may need.

Our communication was primarily via Oscar and Arturo although the entire crew is very professional and polite. We had a roofing gap which communicated with our attic and needed repair. Also, our front gutter was off pitch. After an assessment, Arturo explained installing flashing would solve the problem with our roof rather than a more expensive repair. Our quote for the roof repair and gutter was very reasonable. They also offered to remove a satellite dish from the roof without cost. After fixing these problems we realized a leak from our skylight after a heavy storm. While discussing confirming the cost of these roof/gutter repairs (which was what was quoted) the guys came back out unscheduled to caulk the skylight at no cost. My wife and I are extremely satisfied at the services provided by Progressive Roofing. WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND Progressive Roofing and Construction services based on their professionalism, prompt communication and dedication to customer service.

They arrived on time. The gentlemen were highly professional and polite. They inspected my roof and sealed some questionable areas around my roof vents. When they were done they showed my the before and after photos and explained what they had done. I would certainly call them again.

Ray did a great job fixing the problem areas around the vents and the chimney. He showed me pictures of the work he did and thoroughly explained what would be needed in the future.

Progressive was timely and efficient in inspecting my roof and sealing areas that needed the most work. I appreciate the guys getting the work done around my schedule and working on a windy day. I actually hired them after the tune up to make repairs to shingles and to fix the lead flashing as well as install an attic fan and roof vents for my bathroom exhaust fans.

They came here and they said they will call us back because they have to do something with our roof too that's included in the $99. I called them twice and left messages in their answering machine, but they never called back so it's bad. The good was that they came and checked our roof, but the bad is they didn't finish it and they never called back. It was a good price. I don't know what happened to them. They said they will come back to finish it, but they never did.

It worked out well. He was very professional. I was concerned because of the wind and weather so I wanted to be sure that everything on the roof was okay. He tightened a few shingles and did some sealing around the fan for some areas that he thought needed done. He was very nice. I had no problem scheduling the work. I was very pleased with the time he spent on the roof. You could tell he really took his time time to fully inspect the roof. It was a very worth while purchase!I would use him again if needed!

completed the inspection on a Thursday, basically said we need a new roof. promised and estimate the following week. it has been 3 weeks, never heard from them again. will update if anything changes

They went above and beyond and even cleaned our gutters for an additional fee. Nailed down some flashing that was sticking up with longer nails so it would hold. Would highly recommend, great bang for your buck.

The Specialist arrived on time and gave a complete description of what was going to be done during his inspection of my roof. He would look for flaws, leaks, loose nails and hail damage. All loose nails would be secured and caulked, as well as any loose shingles. The results were great with a couple of loose shingles fixed and some caulking put on loose nails.
