Stay far away from this company. Earlier this year, I had problems with a strong odor coming from my washer and I could hear and see water sitting in the outer tub, so I called them to come out and do a diagnostic. The first repair guy checked several things that could be causing the problem, and then hooked up a device to the computer board to look for error codes. He told me that the water level sensor was bad and that the machine wasn't draining all the water because of it. He said that the control board would have to be sent to the manufacturer for repair and it would take several weeks. The repair would cost $458. The next day when Mr. Appliance emailed me the estimate, I ordered the repair. A few days later a 2nd repair guy came and removed to part to be shipped back to the manufacturer. It took several long weeks to get the part back. 2nd repair guy came back and installed the part. I gave him a check for $458. The first time I used the repaired washer, it gave off the same foul odor again. I called Mr. Appliance back out and a 3rd repair guy came out to try to figure out what was wrong. He did some research and found out that the washer is supposed to always have a little bit of water in it in order to keep the seals from drying out. He also told me that the first repair guy was the owner. He left and the problem was not resolved. The next week a 4th repair guy came out and he started searching for the cause of the foul water. He discovered that the drain hose from the washer was resting way down in the drain pipe. This was causing water to get sucked back up the hose and into the tub. There was likely nothing wrong with the part that I had spent over four hundred dollars to get repaired. For months I practically begged Mr. Appliance for a refund. They dragged their feet and gave me the run around. I was collecting as much documentation as I could in preparation to filing a claim against them in small claims court. Finally, about 8 weeks after they offered to send me a refund for $218, I received a check for two hundred dollars. I don't think that's a fair amount considering there was nothing wrong with the part in the first place. But I'd rather have a tooth removed with scissors and a butter knife than to ever have to deal with Mr. Appliance again.
