Description of Work: On January 2l,2013, the coldest day in our winter so far, I awoke and realized we had a heating problem. My husband is in poor health and it was imperative that something was done immediately. I got out my copies of Angie's List and searched for a company who would take care of this. Several were listed but the one I chose was Ibbotson Heaating. They had received several of your Super Service awards, had been in business since 1946, were a local company and were family owned. They sent a repair man out that afternoon. It was necessary to replace the boiler and my concern was keeping our home warm enough for my husband's safety. Taking him somewhere else in 10 degree temperature was not an option. Mr. Ralph Ibbotson, the head of the company brought us 2 space heaters which solved the problem while a new boiler was installed. Everyone involved was courteous, efficient and helpful and I was impressed with their work. They deserve another Super Service award for 2013. Our son had given us a subscription to Angie's List and it was reassuring to know I could find a competent company. I urge gift givers to give subscriptions of Angie's List to senior citizens....we no longer need material gifts and having Angie's List available is so helpful.

Description of Work: Ibbotson has an excellent reputation in the northwest suburban area and it is well deserved. The owner and staff are committed to good value and excellent service. And that is just what we received.They were helpful in every way from helping us to select the right furnace and hot water heater for our house to helping us to apply for manufacturer's rebates. The crew was was very resourceful in terms of retrofitting modern equipment in an older home. Description of Work: Diagnosed A/C not cooling as it should, loud compressor noise on startup. Previous service provider had over-charged the unit designed for 8# of coolant with 14# of coolant, causing it to condense to a liquid and over-tax the compressor.

Description of Work: Our A/C was freezing up. Aaron came out and cleaned up our unit and filters and tested for freon leaks. He gave tips on how to keep this from happening. As always, he was courteous and knowledgable.
