The Service Technician showed up on time and finished the job in a timely manner. He was very professional and answered my questions. This was the first time I used this company. They offered a special discounted price for scheduling the work before 4/30/14. I will definitely consider using them again in the future.

My water heater stopped working so I called for a tech to come and check out the problem. They gave a four hour window for when the tech would arrive, so I asked them to call me at work bec. I live nearby and could meet the tech back at the house without missing an entire day of work waiting. Someone called me from Ibbotson later in the day at my work to let me know the tech was on his way. When I arrived at my house the tech had already arrived. The tech was very polite and explained the problem was a filter that was clogged up at the bottom of the tank which in turn caused the pilot light to go out. The tech cleaned off the filter and was able to get the pilot back on. So I did not need a new tank. The tech was very professional and answered all of my questions. This was the first time I ever used this company and was very pleased.

We have used them for everything like heating and air conditioning unit repairs. We do not remember how their last service cost but it was reasonable. We have been using them for years so we know that their prices are fair. They are reliable and they do a good job. They are also professional. They come in and do their work and they are on time.

Apparently it pays to do your homework after all. I found Ibbotson on via the Lennox website service providers list and cross referenced it with Angie's list. I had actually filled out online estimate requests from several companies but Ibbotson was the first to call me back and schedule an appointment. Ultimately I went with Ibbotson based on their reputation, professionalism, an willingness to answer all my questions. I was quite happy with their ability schedule my service in such a timely manner. The two gentlemen I came out to install my HI furnace, water heater, and thermostat were very polite, professional, and knowledgeable. After completing the work in a very timely manner, they were sure to clean up and fully explain the functions of my new high efficiency units.

It went very well, they had the best prices out of five competitive bids and were responsive and the crew that performed the work was very experienced. Our A/C broke down and they were able to get this installed right away. I picked them because of their high reviews and they were actually better than what I expected.

when James ,the salesperson came to my house to provide the free estimate , he arrived exactly on time. james was extremely professional, while also being extremely personable. he answered all my questions in a manner that gave me confidence in his honesty and expertise. he provided me with different options with absolutely no pressure. when he left I called him a few moments later for additional information. I then decided that Ibbotson was the company I would go with. when Steve, the installation person came he not only called first, but also arrived during the time that fit in with my limited time frame. while the furnace was being installed I was able to not only leave the house and take care of a few errands ,but to do so feeling confident that the installation would take place without my presence. when the job was finished I was surprised that there was no pressure for immediate payment but that since I was paying using a credit card I could stop by the office in a few days. its been a few days since the installation and I feel both comfortable and confident in having chosen lbbotson as my heating company. confident enough that I plan on calling them in the summer to have them install an air conditioning unit

.I got a call as promised 30 minutes before the technician was to arrive. He arrived on time. He explained to me what needed to be done and completed the job in a timely and professional manner. I would highly recommend Ibbotson to anyone else looking for Heating and Air Conditioning service. I've used them several times in the past and have always be extremely satisfied with their work.

I'm not sure what they do exactly, but we've had them prepare the furnace for use in the winter. They do it every year, and we've used them for years and years and they are great. That's why we keep using them. We were using them before there was an Angie's List.

Their service man came out the same day that I called! Ibbotson installed the HVAC system a few years ago and has maintained it ever since. They do a GREAT JOB at reasonable prices. I have been very happy with their original installation and their maintenance work (as per maintenance contract).

The person who returned my call was kind enough to offer general advice even though his company would not do the work because the house is in Evanston, which is too far from Arlington Heights. I recently bought a house that had been gut-renovated about 10 years ago with all new second floor that has forced air heat and central AC, but radiators and no AC on first floor, and no heat at all for kitchen and first floor bathroom due to changes in room configuration. It has a semi-finished basement with a low ceiling that would have to be torn up for new ductwork. The rep from one company that visited the house and gave me an estimate recommended a hi-velocity ("Space-pak"-type) system for both AC and heat (using the hot water boiler from the existing radiator system). However, at $24K, that bid was DOUBLE the cost of a standard forced air system with a new gas furnace and AC from the bid we got from another company. And I had never heard of using a hi-velocity system for heating, so I was looking to get another quote from a company that did hi-velocity systems. I was impressed and grateful that the Ibbotson person was willing to take a little time to hear about my situation and offer his thoughts on the options given that the house is outside his company's service area so I am not likely to use their services in the future or have friends in their area to recommend the company to.

Their dispatch called and said he could be there earlier than scheduled. The tech came out and checked the A/C and in 30 - 45 minutes was finished.

My former neighbor and the owner of the building I work at use Ibbotson's so I was familiar with the name. We got three quotes and chose Ibbotson's based on estimate, Angie's List as well as my outside info I had about Ibbotson's.

Jim, who gave us the estimate was extremely knowledgible and really knew what he was talking about. We had somebody give us an estimate from another co. and they just basically looked at Ibbotson's estimate and gave us the same thing. The other co.estimate was lower so we called Ibbotson and they lowered their estimate. It wasn't quite as low, but we had so much more confidence in Ibbotson it didn't matter. The other company told us they would install in a day; Ibbotson took 3 &1/2 days and I don't know how they could have done it faster and still done a good job. The workers were polite and friendly, and put up with us doing a bunch of other stuff at the same time. They returned on the first warm day to charge the air conditioners. I would recommend Ibbotson to anybody.

I have used Ibbotson for a few different things from installing humidifier to inquiring about 2nd floor heating issues. They have always called back if unavailable when called to leave a message, and show up when they say they will. When I called about the flooding rather than just sending somebody they asked a series of questions about the type/amount of water, etc. to determine if the technician would be wasting his time and my money by showing up. After hearing what they had to say I decided it was worthwhile. The technician showed up. Looked things over, restarted the appliances, and made sure the appliances cycled properly. Will continue to using Ibbotson for all minor inspection/repair issues and will allow them to bid on any substantial project I might have in the future.

I have been using this company for the past 20 years and have been very pleased. I have a maintenance agreement for both my furnace and air conditioner with this company. They are always professional and prompt. I highly recommend them to others.

mmWe had an old boiler replaced with a new efficient one, and the heating split into two loops, one for the basement and one for the main floor. Subsequently, when one or the other loop heated then shut off, we experienced severe water hammer throughout the house. Brex, the installer company was unable to resolve the problem, so we called in Ibbotson's. They had to send their senior technician and it took several visits. They resolved the issue, were courtious, communicated everything well, and fixed the problem in a logical and professional manner. I would trust them to work in my home anytime. We are currently getting quotes on central air. They were the first business we contacted.

It was very nice to have a company come out on time and fix the problem and even gave us some suggestions. Will definitely use them in the future. Our furnace works better now than ever.
