+ 0 moreBrandon Jeffs (owner) bid the roofing job at a reasonable price, stated the job would take 4.5 days from start to finish. Required $2500.00 up front for materials and half of the labor. The balance was required upon completion of the job, after 7 days the job was about 1/3 completed. Brandon would show up for half a day here and there, when the job was half way completed, he stated that he could not complete the job unless the remainder of the money was paid so that he could pay his laborers. I provided the remaining balance of the money and Brandon did not return on the job site. After several attempts to contact Brandon with no reply, I left him several voice messages and e-mail messages telling him his services were terminated. I have since filed a small claims case in an effort to recover the lost funds.
Description of Work: The job was to remove the old shingles, install all new roof decking, ice shield and tar paper, then install 30 year architectural shingles. Half of the roof was removed, decked and preped for shingles, no shingles were installed and the second half of the roof was not removed and prepared as bid. I was contacted by the company owner who stated that he could not do anymore work unless he received the remaining money for the job. The money was paid and the owner continually failed to show at the job site as he promised, would not return phone calls or e-mail.
