Horrible. They are nice as pie, as long as you let them walk all over you. Get every single thing in writing with these people! I have never been so blatantly lied to and cheated by a landlord as we were with these people! They didn't paint the house before we moved in, but swore they wouldn't be charging us to paint when we moved out, unless we really messed up the paint, but they lied. There were 3 small areas in one room that were our fault, and we even completely marked up the propery condition form showing how bad the paint was, but in the end they charged $700 of our deposit to paint! Also, we spent the ENTIRETY of our lease trying to get them to replace the window screens because they were trash. Not only did they not ever replace a single one, but they charged us to replace them after we moved out. They had all 3 roommates sign an agreement that 1/3 of the despoit belonged to each of us, but they let 1 roommate who decided to hire a last minute cleaning company, because she didn't want to do her part of the cleaning, charge everyones deposit. We paid an $1,800 deposit and they gave us back less than $300 back! They charged us for everything they could, even things that were already on the property condition form. There were also repairs they promised to make, before we moved in, that they wouldnt do until we had a lawyer call them! 6 months into the lease! They also wrote us nasty letters while we were there, in response to the complaints we filed with them. we complained about bugs in the house, probably due to the crappy sceens, and instead of taking care of them, they said it was because we were just nasty, which was completely untrue. They tell you they will discuss any issue you have, but shoot you dont the moment it comes to them actually doing anything and refuse to discuss it any futher until you have a lawyer involved. They called us all kinds of names and accused of horrible things to make themselves feel better for not doing their jobs! I have documented and kept a copy of all our correspondence that shows the completely disgusting and unprofessional way they spoke to us. I have never felt so helpless and trapped in my life. They would not let us out of the lease, even though they clearly wanted nothing to do with us or our pesky problems with the house. I would have absolutely taken them to court but I moved to Alaska and I dont have the resources to fly back and forth. I highly suggest people to steer clear of this unethical, petty couple! Im not usually one to write bad reviews, but I will shout this from rooftops if it helps anyone avoid these awful people. You get bad services at lots of places through out life, but when its this bad, that they will blatantly lie to get someone in a house, then go back on their word, completely disregard their own property condition form and charge you for things on the form that they already agreed you wouldn't be charged for, all the while speaking really nasty to you and telling you there was nothing you can do about it... You get the word out. Because most of their victims will be people who are unable to get a lawyer to fight them. And they know that.
