Quick and reasonable problem resolution when the delivered wood appeared to have a different color hue than what we originally ordered. We were allowed to select another wood which was quickly delivered and installed as soon as possible. Clean professional installation team and excellent sales attention.

Description of Work: Carpet install. The install went well, but the sales rep was less than stellar. He tried to push me to buy more than I wanted to spend, by getting me to use my husband's info. My husband was not there and I felt it was way too pushy. Also, the more he pushed and I said no, the less comfortable I felt. Would use again, but would demand different rep.

One reason in particular may be that your floor may be expanding and contracting because of the humidity levels in your home. Description of Work: They ran a promotion for "free labor" on installations ordered during the month, but their offer didn't seem legitimate. We had them come out and estimate a full-house installation of various products. Then we had three other major companies come out and give us the same estimate using similar grade materials, and the estimates were nearly identical. Not sure where the "free labor" got cooked back into the price, but it wasn't really a discount at all. Very disappointing promotional tactic.

Overall, I had a great experience with 50 Floor. They arrived when they said they would, on a Saturday nonetheless. The two gentlemen that came surveyed the rooms where the carpet was going to be installed. Immediately got to work in removing the old carpet and padding, removing the old staples in the floor and making some small repairs to the sub floor. Before I knew it, they were done with laying all the new carpet. I had a nice roll of extra carpet leftover, which the gentleman rolled up and asked me where I wanted it. They cleaned up and left. They were in and out in about 4 hours. Great job, I would definitely recommend and use them again!
Description of Work: 50 Floor came out to my house and moved furniture, removed old carpet and installed new carpet. When they came out and showed me samples they were running a 60% off installation promotion.

Overall, I was disappointed that the experience did not go well, because I thought the price was very good. But when people are rude in the very beginning before they even have a contract, or your money, well that's a sign to me that other things might not go so well either.
Description of Work: I called to get an estimate on carpet. The sales person brought in 4 samples, and I noted that I don't' like shag, or Berber, which eliminated two of the samples. I was left with one that had the quality that I was looking for, but not the color. The other had the color but not the quality, but I asked for quotes on both. The sales person said she would email me the quote that night, but did not, and when she did, she only sent one quote. I had to email back to ask for the other. So I called back to 50 floor (the receptionist is very nice), because I figured there MUST be more than two options for me to choose from. When I was transferred to the sales manager, he was very snappy and said "Ma'am, we don't have a show room, so we can't show you EVERYTHING." I said " Sir, I'm not that unreasonable. I don't' expect you to show me everything, but I expect more than 2 choices! I don't' think that's too much to ask". With that kind of customer service, just because I asked for more choice, I think that was a sign that this may not be a good experience and may be frustrating. He offered to send the sales agent back out, but at that point, I declined.

There was a misunderstanding on our side about when the rep we assigned to your appointment was coming back to work from being sick. We thought he was working that day and did not know that we were missing your appointment until your phone call; otherwise we would have called and let you know. If we do ever have a misunderstanding like this, that is our fault, we try to offer the customer a concession off of their final bill. In this case we offered a $100 concession to you that had you accepted would have come off of whatever price your job would have been. If you have a better suggestion as to what you would like to make things right between us for our mistake than I am certainly willing to listen and will accommodate you if I can. The new hardwoods were laid fairly well, except for some gaps that needed to be filled. The finish of them though was very poor, with trash and debris under the polyurethane, and also lots of air bubbles all over the surface that gives the floor a very rough look. In some places on the new floor and the refinished floors, there are "puddles" of polyurethane that have dried. And also a large dent was made in my kitchen floor in one place. They didn't clean up behind themselves, and cigarette butts were left thrown down in my yard and driveway. It was supposed to be a 3-day job, and it turned in to a 9-day job, so we were out of our living area for a long time and having to smell the fumes much longer than planned. Now we are going to have to have the whole process done over again. It involves moving out all the furniture again and packing up other things in the rooms that need to be moved and getting them to another area on a lower level of the house.

We are redoing the entire job and discounting the price. Our crew dropped the ball, it is the first time we have ever had a issue like this, we have over 20 crews, and we are doing the best we can to fix it. We feel this review was written unfairly as the customer did not give us a chance to fix the problem before posting a harmful reviews. In this business there will be times where things do not go right, however what separates the good from the bad is what the company does to make it right so in the end the customer is made whole. We will always fix any issue that does meet industry standards. I hope when we complete our repairs that they will change there review.
