Jimmy was referred to me by the individuals installing the tile. During our initial conversation I informed him what was needed and came up with the tasks. I also told him I had an Ikea Vanity and he grumbled a bit but gave me an impression that he installed one for a previous customer. He didn't like Ikea and kept mentioning that the diameter of the pipers in Ikea items were too small. He also asked me if I had a two sink vanity or a one sink which I replied two thinking he was asking about what I purchased. Before we were done he indicated that I would have to put the vanity together so he could go ahead and place it in once the pipes were The day the tilers came to my home Jimmy stopped came. I was called at work and got nothing but complaints from him because we had a single bowl vanity in place and it was going to be extra work. He went on and on about the pipes of Ikea and the two bowls and all he needed to do. I came right out and asked him what the easiest thing would be and he literally told me that it would be easier to just get a vanity from Lowe's or Home Depot and use that. I informed him that would not be the case since I already put the Ikea vanity together. I came home early that day and saw Jimmy in my home and all I could hear was him complaining as I came up the stairs. When I interacted with him his overall demeanor was negative as he dealt with the connections in the wall for the shower. I left the area and went to do errands later speaking to Jimmy when I got home. My interaction was a little bit better with him but he still complained about the use of an Ikea vanity. We scheduled a time for him to return after the tilers completed what they needed to do. That evening I thought about the our interaction and pretty much came to the decision that if Jimmy started his complaining again I was going to pay him and tell him to leave. The day of the completion of the plumbing I had little interaction with Jimmy which was a good thing. Our general handyman, Steve, dealt with Jimmy since Steve needed to do work on the drywall to open the vanity space up about an inch. Steve informed me that Jimmy told him he could drywall around the sides of the vanity. When Steve questioned about the door of the vanity and their ability to open Jimmy said there wouldn't be a problem. There actually was a problem since the vanity didn't have doors, they had drawers. To get things rolling I just had Steve install the vanity with Jimmy's co-worker connecting the sink. Chris, Jimmy's co-worker came back and installed the toilet and was actually very nice and did a good job. Chis and I spoke about Jimmy's attitude and the need for him to shut his mouth and quit complaining to customers. Chris said, "That's Jimmy!!!!" and that he's spoken to him on numerous occasions about his mouth. As a plumber Jimmy may know his craft but his attitude has a lot to be desired. Had I not needed to get things done quickly I would have cut the conversation at the beginning but the pressure of being out a bathroom for over a week forced me to deal with him. Jimmy did not change the piping to the toilet but honestly I just want him out of my home. I will NEVER use Jimmy again. I also plan to tell the tilers that by recommending someone like Jimmy to customers will link them will someone who is far from professional and looks badly on them. I've gotten the number of Chris who works with Jimmy since he was really great to interact with . I don't know what it will take but one of these days Jimmy is going to meet up with a customer who will literally throw him out of their home.
