Description of Work: I just moved in to home in Dunedin and needed extensive tree trimming. I'm new to Florida and know little about the growth of trees here. Chris went through the yard and pointed out areas that needed help before they caused a problem. He also pinpointed a tree that was dying. He suggested I get a permit to have it removed. The permit was approved and work proceeded. It took them a couple of days to get my yard looking the way it should. Each day they made sure they cleaned up all branches so we wouldn't trip over them. I was very happy with the work done and would recommend this company.

Description of Work: I called Chris late on a Friday and told him I had a commercial property that needed some tree trimming. He explained that he was on a job but would stop by that night to look at the property. He contacted me early Monday morning with the quote which I gladly accepted. Chris and his guy's showed up on time that same Thursday and began the job which took almost 2 days. While doing the job the crew unexpectedly ran into a giant hornets nest in the ground. When he called me I thought I would have to call in a professional exterminator but instead he went to the store and bought the necessary chemicals and took care of the problem. I told him I would pay him for the work he did on the hornets nest but he only charged me $40 for the chemicals. Now that's what I call going the extra mile for your customer. The best part about this is is that I actually never met Chris because I was in Pittsburgh at one of my other businesses when he started the job.. I only spoke to him over the phone and he dealt with my manager and relayed progress to me. I will definitely be using his service on an annual basis for my residential and commercial properties.

Description of Work: I called the company to evaluate the trees on my property, especially as to the need to cut back any limbs, to avoid damage in case of a hurricane or other strong storm. Chris Akonom came out the day after my call and looked at all the trees. He gave me advice on what work might be done in the future, such as pruning some of the smaller trees. More importantly, he told me what work did not need to be done, and in some instances, should not done now. Mr. Akonom came across as not just a "tree cutter" but someone who was truly knowledgeable about his field and enjoyed his work. In addition, he did not "create work." I was impressed by his honesty and professionalism and would use his services in the future.

Description of Work: Chris was hired to trim several trees that were overhanging my house. Some of the trees are protected as "grand trees" under city ordinance. Chris and his apprentice arrived as promised; completed the work in about 4 hours and left my property as if they had not been there. Though I was not home as the work was being completed I had the neighborhood 'supervisor' monitor the work and his report was that they worked continuously and professionally. Besides all that, Chris was a nice man, an honest man and qualified, by training, to complete the work according to approved standards.

Description of Work: AK gets an excellent rating by me. Chris Akonom is a gem, and the crew and equipment he brought to complete my tree work was awesome! I have already lined them up to return for servicing about one year from now, and I also plan to recommend them to friends and family.

Description of Work: We called AK Tree Service due to all the A reports that were on file and made an appointment. No one showed up and no one called to let us know they weren't coming. It only takes a few seconds to call and reschedule and not to do that shows a total lack of respect and responsibility. We hired another company.

Description of Work: AK Tree Service provided tree thinning and trimming as we had asked. They cleaned up the yard, were very professional, and efficient. They knew what they were doing. Took great care not to damage existing landscaping and garden(s).

Description of Work: Trimmed a very large laurel oak and removed all the debris. Very knowledgeable about different type of tree's and how to trim them. Excellent work along with great customer service.

Description of Work: Took down a diseased palm tree.
