Great. Very professional.

Marc was most helpful start to finish, he educated me and then presented me with options and let me decide on best course of action. He did legwork was able to match my vinyl siding so I did not have to replace entire side of house. The windows his crew installed look and work great. They eliminated most all exterior painting and greatly reduced my maintenance headaches. His crew was a pleasure to work with and I highly recommend them.

Called Marc for a quote on a replacement window and some replacement doors. Very prompt in his response and came to my house. At one point, I considered replacing all of my windows and he was more than accommodating on suggesting manufacturers and getting me quotes. I eventually settled on a plan for repairing and extending the life of my existing windows. He promised the job complete in two days and it was. His crew was methodical and meticulous.... and they knew what they were doing. Jeff, the foreman, had a plan from start to finish and everything turned out great! A great experience and I wouldn't hesitate a second to take them on again.

My house is old and each window is a different size. He was very methodical. The installers were great as well. I checked out some of their references. They were in and out in three hours and cleaned up.

Marc and his team did an excellent job. He had to reschedule once but still overall I was extremely pleased with the price, quality of the window, and professionalism of the work. Definitely would be happy to work with him again.

Mark, the owner of the company, was most helpful in suggesting color, getting the door done, and just went the extra mile to make sure the work was done to our satisfaction. He kept the focus on our price restraints and made sure we didn't go over our budget.

I had dealt with all the big name window replacement companies and experienced some of their "timeshare sales techniques" bot in my home and at their showrooms. I also got my "special rate" over inflated prices and later offers for a "special discount". I checked Angieslist and found MWT Home Improvement. The owner Marc, came to my house, checked out the job and we discussed my needs and the specifics of my 100 + year old home. We were able to work out some savings due to the nature of the work and before he left I offered Marc the job. Throughout the process Marc was responsive and very professional plus he was personable and friendly to work with. The job was done right, on time and to my specs. The install team was clean, professional and efficient. I was also happy that they were a native born, English speaking all American crew. I find that a plus. When the windows were done Marc personally cleaned them and inspected that everything was done right. My wife is very pleased with the job an so am I.

With the previous windows, we had trouble with the rubber gasket inside the double glazing coming loose. These windows were less than ten years old. Marc Tompkins, owner of MWT, discussed the problem with the window manufacturer he uses before recommending a window with low-E glass and another type of gasket between the panes. The low-E glass was not much more expensive than regular glass for this size window. The installation subcontractor he uses did a first class job. The three guys that do the installation have worked with Marc for a number of years. The painter was also good. Marc was there when they were doing the work and followed up later. He checked that all the details were done right and was quite picky. He is also a very pleasant guy to work with.

I had interviewed representatives from 3 other window companies on Angie's List before Marc Tompkins of MWT Home Improvement arrived to give me a quote. Of all the men, Marc spent the most time looking at the windows - both indoors and outdoors - to evaluate exactly what would be needed to do the job. Like 2 of the other companies, he brought different examples of the glass that would be needed plus a stack of reviews and references. However, he was the only one who suggested a different way to complete my project. Our home was built in 1989 and has large windows with individual small window panes inside wood grills. This looks beautiful, but is very difficult to clean and to keep from warping - due to the hot sun all summer. The duel-paned glass- tempered windows with the vinyl grids in the middle would not look the same as the old windows, especially with the vinyl-coated aluminum framing outside. The other 3 representatives all said I'd have to remove the side windows (4) on either side of the 2 large, middle windows I needed to replace in order to have everything look the same. This would have been a major expense - and there was nothing wrong with the side windows, no rot or leakage. Marc, however, said I need NOT replace the side windows, rather, he could just frame them to look like the 2 large ones. So this is what we did. I then decided to frame the remaining front windows in order to have everything look the same. I even had the large paladin window in the great room framed in order to make sure that water wouldn't leak in. Marc also replaced 7 screens. All this work was accomplished in one day. Marc's crew, Jeff and Ryan, were professional, polite, friendly, NEAT AND CLEAN. I had been dreading the actual work fearing a swarm of dirt and dust entering my house when the 2 very large windows were removed. I could have slept instead of having nightmares! There was hardly any flaking or chipping; and what there was was quickly vacuumed up by Marc himself. And at the end he stood inside and kept pointing out smudges on the outside glass for Jeff to wipe clean. Then Marc helped roll up all the construction paper on the floor, put it in garbage bags and took them away with him. He helped move all the furniture back into position and then took another look around to make sure he didn't leave one paint chip on the floor. The replacement windows look great and neighbors have given their seal of approval. And all this work for just under $3,000!!! I heartily recommend Marc Tompkins and his company. He treats you as an esteemed member of his family!

Marc was a pleasure to work with from the start. He took a lot of time to explain the process to us and helped us choose the windows that best suited our house. He was never pushy or high-pressure and was very concerned about helping us choose something that we would be happy with. We ordered the windows and he scheduled the installation for very soon after (within a couple of weeks). The crew was very efficient and Marc made sure he inspected all of the work once it was completed. We did have an issue with 3 of the windows not fitting right (the fault of the manufacturer, not Marc), but Marc finished the others and came back within a week to install the 3 remaining ones. The only thing we weren't thrilled about was the way the capping was done around the windows. A flared edge was used which wasn't quite the look we wanted. We wanted more of a pleated edge, which looks more like real wood. To their credit, there was nothing wrong with the installation, we just didn't make it clear about the final look we wanted in advance - it wasn't really Marc's fault, just a miscommunication. However, when Marc found out we weren't 100% happy with it, he had the crew come back and redo it the way we wanted. All for no extra charge. I have used many contractors and I have never encountered one so dedicated to customer satisfaction as Marc. The job was competed today and I am thrilled with the result. The windows look exactly as I hoped and we love them!

It went very well. Marc was patient with my many questions and even came out to visit me a second time so I could get more hands-on time with the demo window. The crew was very neat and clean and installed all the windows in one day (27!). They are beautiful and really bring the outdoors in. The level of street noise we hear has also been reduced dramatically.

The work was done quickly, and it looks great. Mark is a good communicator, and he made sure my expectations were met.

I used Angie's List to screen initial prospects, called around and got estimates - MWT was punctual, thorough in explanation and patient while I worked out financing. He helped me with a different design for windows on the front of the house. He stayed with my budget and time frame and promised quality work. He also worked it out so I could replace all three doors as well. The work was done efficiently, very neatly (hardly any cleaning up needed afterword) and no added surprises at the end. I find it nerve-wrecking to deal with contractors and this major undertaking was seriously a breeze!

Great! Mark really worked with us and found windows that worked for us even though one of our windows was a shape that was hard to replace. He and his team were friendly and efficient. Great job.

I called Marc asking about window replacement for my home. Call was returned promptly and date/time set for estimate. After arriving at my home, Marc inspected each window and commented on each one to help explain how they could be improved. He sat down with my wife and I and went over several window options and price points. Very insightful on window options. Price was more than we were expecting so we have not had the work done.

Why do contractors seem to think that the customer is on THEIR schedule? See above comments on work (not) performed. It seems so simple to follow through on simple commitments, but evidently there is no such thing as a telephone or an explanation in this contractor's world.

The whole job was fine from beginning to end. Mark measured, came back with catalogs, ordered and he personally painted the shutters with excellent results, and then had his installation team from Augusta hang the shutters on the house. Nice folks, easy to deal with, trying very hard to please with professional results.

Marc was very professional in his approach. He kept all of his appointments and communicated well all through the process. The installation was very smooth and professional. I will recommend him to friends in the future.

He also caulked and cleaned up completely after the job was completed. They didn't even leave a nail! He also took the time to get the licenses to clear the county. The county actually came out about a week later to see if I was pleased with the job. They hauled off all old windows. For me, it was totally pain free!

We were very impressed with this company. We had estimates from about 10 other companies in the area and they were very reasonably priced, low pressure and polite. Marc was professional and promptly answered any questions we had. Their crew showed up for work when promised, worked hard and completed the job within a day and a half. The windows look great and have performed as promised.

Marc was responsive and professional. He did a good job of communicating with me, both about the product and appointment times. The window is of very good quality and the installation was well done.

The service was great. They replaces 27 windows in one day. Everything was a clean a s a whistle when they left. They put back all the blinds and curtains. It was painless and professionally done. I would do it again tomorrow.
