 + -1 moreThe service I contracted for was a "$39 for a Kitchen or Bathroom Design Consultation plus Credit". When Hdez Gabinets LLC came out they wanted me to tell them what I wanted in the remodel. I asked them to sit down so we could talk, but they insisted that they stand. It made me uncomfortable, it was as if they just wanted to get in and out very quickly. The only thing that they suggested was a sink in the island which the senior member of the two, said "no that wouldn't work". They took measurements. They took down my ideas. They had me look on their iPad at their work. They really didn't offer any new ideas.(Maybe the suggestions they think they offered were the different styles of cabinets.) There was no consultation only what do you want and we will send you an estimate. The whole conversation took less that 30 minutes. They were out the door. It was a complete waste of time for me. I sent them an e-mail saying..."I'm a little confused - on your website there is a free estimate - why did I pay Angie's List? I expected I would be getting more of a consultation with ideas from you. I got none of that. There was only a estimate on the things I had thought about. Please explain how this charged/paid for visit was different from the visit with a free estimate." Their response was "Because you looked for us on AngiesList and AngiesList requires to pay and none of that money goes to us, they just asked for us to give our website. And we did give suggestion when we were at your house" This was never a consultation...it was an estimate. I am not paying for an estimate.
