Cunningham Associates Heating and Air Conditioning

He was excellent. To begin with, he got the unit running until he could get the part, because it was hot in here, and then he replaced the part today. The air conditioner is working. The initial service call was right at $100, and the repair ended up being about $600. I didn’t ask anybody else, but considering that I could just pay for it and not have to use my Home Owner’s insurance, I guess the price was excellent. He was very punctual, and his responsiveness was excellent. I would rate him highly and would use him again in the future if necessary.

Asked vendor to come out and give us a quote on a new air conditioner. Vendor instead responded by telling us to get all the printed information off the plate of the existing unit and read it back to him. Once he received this information, he quoted us "about $3000". When I asked him why he was unwilling to come out and give us a professional evaluation and an actual quotation, he said that his records showed he was not awarded a bid he was invited to participate in from us in the past, and he wanted to "save everybody's time".

From my first hello on the phone with their booking lady to saying so long to the technician, the experience with Cunningham was a very pleasant one. My thanks to Angie's list. I wouldn't have known about them with the list.

I called them to get more info on the advantages of installing a central humidifier vs using portable ones. I was given excellent info that made me feel confident that having a central humidifier was the right choice for me. They set up an appt to have the installation done within a few days. They arrived right on time and the work was done in a timely manner. I have not had any problems since installation. I called them a few days after the installation with a question and received a prompt response that fully answered my question.

They had to make two visits because the parts weren’t available. All the members of the team were very knowledgeable, courteous and hard working. They even went the extra mile to research warranty coverage of the air conditioner coils, which cut our costs in half. They were supposed to call me before they arrived but forgot to which caused much chaos at my house that day. But, overall they were very good. I will definitely recommend this company.

I called and they got me an appointment the next day. Tech arrived on time and had my problem figured out within 10 min. Very professional and courteous.

Prompt response, showed up on time, quickly analyzed problem and scheduled repair for a few days later. Everything works great, love the new thermostat, and cool is working just in time for the Atlanta summer.

I was given the choice of removing and replacing the pipe, including cutting up our finished basement ceiling, or re-routing the same smaller pipe to a closer wall. I chose the latter option. After spending almost the entire day here digging by hand and cutting through the block and brick of my house he re-routed the pipe. We just finished our first winter with perfect heat and no service calls in 5+ years!

The gentleman that came on Friday was changing my sophisticated filter. I had him take a look at the system while he was here and gave me an estimate for a new system. They were able to install the new system on Monday. I have been working with Cunningham for a few years now and they are very reliable and fair. Their workman are incredibly professional and excellent communicators. They are respectful of the property and clean up well afterwards. They are completely trustworthy.

I would recommend Cunningham. He was very helpful and fixed the problem. He was professional and punctual. He was very thorough and able to fix the problem. He took the time to explain the issue to me and what to look for next time.

Their professionalism was great. Their response time was great. They came during the middle of the summer. They were able to come out on the same day, unlike other companies.

Great. After dealing with a horrible company through American Home Shield who left us in the cold (with a 3 month old) for 5 days of upper teens temperature; we looked decided we needed things fixed qquick. We called Cunningham and they were there within hours to access the problem and order the part. First thing the next morning, they were there fixing it. We met to of their contractor and both were professional and courteous.

I thought they were really pricey so we didn?t go with them. They diagnosed the problem and they just didn?t know if they could get the part. Meanwhile, I found the original installers who had the part on the same day and were significantly less. They were nice and they came right away when I called, but I really felt like they were doing more of a sales job than looking to fix the problem. I even got something in the mail the other day saying they wanted me to purchase a warranty even though they didn?t service my unit. I wasn?t very impressed based on my experience. I found their marketing campaign frustrating and annoying.

I had this company come out initially to give an estimate to repair an installation gone bad by another party when I had replaced my AC units. Everyone associated with this company has been professional, punctual and knowledgable. The technicians (Travis, Dusty) who performed the work described above, arrived on time, were professional and put down drop cloths throughout the house leading to the attic where my unit was located. The supervisor came by to make sure everything was going well. He was great and explained everything to me in detail. I would recommend this company to anyone.

In less than a week, and after a very challenging installation, Sean and Stan left us with a heating and air system (Carrier 2.5 Ton w/ 16 SEER) that is a work of art. These two craftsmen are, without a doubt, a great credit to their craft.

Technician showed up after discussed time with dispatcher - most likely because of weather + sever storms making this a high service period. After giving diagnosis - Bobby immediately knew the problem and took the time to explain the situation as well, and after I asked how the piece worked with the fan, how to try an avoid the problem in the future. Excellent service.

My air stopped cooling Saturday, 6/12 and I was due to go on vacation Tuesday 6/15. On Monday I called a couple of companies in an attempt to get estimates on that day but due to the heat and overwhelming consumer calls, no one could come by. I called Cunningham and Associates since they had come out once before and at first I was told that no one could come out until Wednesday. I quickly explained that I was leaving on vacation and needed something scheduled right after my return. As it turns out I was speaking with Mr. Cunningham and since his company had come out before, he immediately stopped everything and came over to make an assessment. It was determined that a new unit was needed and he immediately went back to the office and sent me a quote. From there we scheduled for Monday 6/21. At 7a.m. Cunningham & Assoc. arrived to install my 3 ton AC & furnace that would cover the upstairs of my 2400 sq. ft home. The staff were very professional and pleasant. They worked tirelessly all day in the heat until all work was done. They left my home immaculate with air running. By evening we were cooled down and comfortable. Within one week we received our paperwork and complete instructions needed to file for all rebates available. I have made a few calls since the installation for information regarding the units and the staff were patient and seemed to have a smile each time.

I called on a weekday afternoon, Thursday- weather was hot, temp in 90s. Our AC had been out for one day and one night. Since it was late in the afternoon, around 3p? the tech could not come that day; however the coordinator was able to move some clients around and get someone to our house the next day. My father met the Cunningham repairman. According to his accounting, the tech arrived punctually, methodically assessed the problem, located electrical issue, easily fixed wiring problem. We slept comfortably and well that night, no problems. The tech also noted that our two year old air bear filter needed replacement. Brought it over on Monday 6/14 at no extra cost. Cost tally was $58 for service charge, plus $68 for half hour of labor. Deducted $15 for Angie's list coupon. We were happy with the service.

The tech was AMAZING, super nice and very efficient! I would HIGHLY recommend this company!

We followed Shawn's advice and added insulation to the 4" we currently had and the A/C unit immediately started working more efficiently since we were able to get some of the heat out of the attic. When it's time, I will definitely call on Cunningham because you can't beat good old fashion honesty. It keeps your integrity in tact which they have done by not pushing off an expensive AC unit when one was not needed. Instead, we were surviving in our home on next to nothing insulation.

Its never a good experience to have your A/C unit go down on a hot day, but we are so pleased with the service that we have received thus far from Cunninghams. Bob Cunningham patiently answered all of my questions. The two installation techs that came to my house were very professional, knew what they were doing and didn't seem to mind me looking over their shoulder. They thoroughly cleaned up the work area as well and handled the warranty registration with Carrier. When I called a few days later with questions about the rebate whoever answered the phone had all the answers and was very helpful. The new A/C worked great during the recent warm spell. In short, we feel good about our entire experience with Cunningham Associates and look forward to having them maintain our system for years to come.

Cunningham has serviced our house for one year. We have a service contract with them. We had some furnace issues during the very cold weather. The weather also exacerbated the varying temperatures in different rooms. I had Mark McGee, part owner and also a sr. technician, provide me with advice and guidance. My experience, like all of my other interactions with this company was very positive. First, they were highly responsive to my urgent issue - getting the heat back on. Second, Mark gave me reasoned and practical advice on how to make the home more comfortable - essentially, I asked him to treat my home and situation if it were his own, and he did as did the team that did the work. They installed a multi-zone, wireless system where each room essentially has its own thermostat. They also installed additional returns and vents. The end result is that each room gets the heat that it needs and the home is a lot more comfortable. His team of installers were not only courteous and polite, they were also were careful to clean and maintain the home after each visit - took them about 3 days to complete the work. Bottom line - if you are looking for a good company, with professional staff, highly responsive, honest, these guys are great. lucky I found them on Angie's list.

Cunningham and Associates are the BEST. The price was great, the service was great, the follow up was great. The work was done in a vacation home, so we weren't present when they performed the work. They came by my office and picked up the key, called when the work was done, and mailed the key back. Other than a new HVAC unit, the new vents, and a new thermostat, there was no evidence that they had ever been there. The owner is a nice guy, and the office manager is very pleasant. I had one minor problem (or thought I did) after the work was done, and they had someone up there the next day to check it out.

Sean was on time, courteous, very professional and didn't mind explaining to me everything he did during the service call. He gave me a quote on two different models of furnaces for my house (Payne and Carrier), and gave me time to also get a second estimate and let me pay my service bill with him later. Ultimately, I did go with the second estimate on a Lenox furnace, which is why I didn't complete the furnace replacement with Cunningham.
