Cunningham Associates Heating and Air Conditioning

No problems. I had used Cunningham Associates for my downstairs several years ago. I discussed unit/cost options on the phone after they had inspected. They came on an agreed day, the system works great and they followed up to ensure there were no issues.

It's been working great since! They came out the same day we called, and they were fantastic!

They came out and did the job quickly and efficiently. I cannot believe how fast and efficiently they worked. They removed the old unit, poured a concrete slab for the condenser and installed the entire new system in two days. I have never had a company work as hard and as fast in my life. They had a great attitude and answered all my questions. When they were done the area was cleaner than before they started. I have already suggested them to two people who needed their service. I can't say enough about them. Fantastic.

Two of the three HVAC systems in my home were 20 years old and had become expensive to maintain over the past couple of years. I decided to replace these units before they stopped working completely and so obtained 4 bids from HVAC contractors. I obtained two bids from big box stores and two bids from smaller contractors who had good reviews on Angie's List. All four companies were responsive in terms of providing quotes. The big box stores seem a little more focused on volume and their solutions seem to be geared toward replacing what you have without a lot of time spent to understand any nuances you have with your current HVAC. The two smaller companies spent more time in the evaluation of our home and design of the proposed solution. We decided to go with Cunningham for four reasons: 1) Their design provided for a solution to an area on our second floor that has consistently been much hotter in the summer and colder in the winter. This came up in conversation when Cunningham was walking through the 2nd floor and immediately noticed the change in temperature of this area. We discussed it and I explained that the area had been an issue since we moved into the home 5 yrs ago. This would not have been addressed had Cunningham not spent the time to walk through the home and asking questions., 2) their base quote included the replacement of our fiberboard plenums with all new sheet metal plenums, 3) they provided some repairs and maintenance to my 3rd system, which is 10 yrs old, in order to stretch its useful life as far as possible, and 4) the owner of the company was involved in all stages of the project to ensure everything went according to plan. We agreed on a price and start date and the installers came right on schedule on the appointed date. We basically had 4 guys who worked for almost 3 days to complete the job. All four were really nice guys. They took their time and it never appeared that they were being rushed to complete the job too quickly. I could tell that they were focused on making sure it was a quality installation. They cleaned up the job site every night before they left and kept us updated as to where they were on completing the job. When they were finished and the new systems were functioning I could immediately tell a difference in the comfort inside our home, so the product we received was exactly as proposed and described by Cunningham. They added a new supply and return in our upstairs hallway as part of the project which made a huge difference in the overall comfort of our 2nd floor. In summary, if you are planning to replace your HVAC systems I highly recommend you get multiple quotes. It does take a lot of time to get four quotes like I did, but it was worth this investment of my time as I got to see several different approaches to the project. Cunningham HVAC will take the time to understand your needs and then will design a system to meet those needs. They were not the cheapest quote I received, but when you consider these systems will be in your home for 20 years their solution did provide the highest value in my opinion. I can recommend Cunningham HVAC without any reservations whatsoever. They will take good care of you and provide you with a system that works well.

The service gentleman was stellar! He has done our twice-a-year servicing before - and his ductwork work was efficient, effective, and professional. He then explained everything about what he did, and how we can manually direct the air flow simply and easily ourselves. He had already told us what he could do, what it would cost, and how it was the best, most cost-effective "fix" for the problem of our master bedroom getting too much air and the high-ceilinged living room getting too little air. That had been the result of a previous HVAC company's fix. Cunningham Associates has done our servicing for about eight or nine years, and while their prices are a wee bit higher than some competitors' prices - they give you the extra, the margin, the best of their slightly higher annual charge. "Dusty's" work with us yesterday was explained clearly and simply so even I could understand as could my wife. He was kind, extremely professional, on time, and his fix was unnoticeable except for the small, simple redirection of airflow marked on the exterior of the duct in the basement room. We are more than pleased with Cunningham Associates and will use them until climate change ruins us all.

The service was fine. One person came out and took about an hour to complete the job. They were on time, helpful and did a great job. I would say they have reasonable prices and did what they said they would.

They are fabulous. I have a weird air-filter size (27x14x1), so they don't typically carry that on their trucks. The second time they came out, he made a makeshift air filter to fit my unit. This wasn't necessary, because I had purchased my own air filters in this special size, but the fact that Trevor went above and beyond impressed me. They made a few small tweaks to the system to ensure that it runs properly. Most importantly, they are honest. I'm a customer of theirs for life. A+.

Cunningham has been doing our annual HVAC service and repairs for about twelve years. And we couldn't be more pleased. They are professional and knowledgeable. We have 3 AC units and 3 furnaces for the 3 levels of our house (including 'basement) and Cunningham does two extensive service checks a year for $580. That's certainly not the least expensive in the city -- but they are thorough from top to bottom, indoors and outdoors with the units, ductwork, filters, etc. Great integrity, and their repair work has been excellent when it has been needed. Their communication is always excellent.

The service was excellent - prompt, courteous, professional. I received a call the next day to make sure everything went well, and to follow up a request by the service agent for custom filters to provide a better fit for our unit. I mentioned a charge for a needed cleaning that fell outside the regular contract, expressing my sense that the charge was excessive. Without hesitation the manager offered to write a check to refund half the charge. That check, along with the custom filters, arrived hand-delivered at my front door within a few hours, and there was no charge for delivery. This experience is in keeping with Cunningham's exceptional standard of responsive, customer-centered service throughout the years we've been with them. Every business should take notes from this company.

I've used them for years. I didn't get them from Angie's List. I've known them for a very long time. I've used them for at least ten years. They're an excellent company. They give us a lot of personal attention. Their prices are fair. They're an A+. Their responsiveness is topnotch. If I have a problem on the weekend, they will be here. They took care of it for me.

They are on Angie's List. The service cost under $200. They were prompt and reliable. They did a good job and I guess that they had a fair price. They were recommended to me by a friend and they were professional. They came when they said that they would. They found the problem and fixed it quickly. They gave me a part that I bought from somebody else for a whole lot more money than they charged me.

The contractor was on time, polite and courteous. They explained everything in detail and followed up with phone calls on the satisfaction of the work. I would recommend this contractor and I would use their service again.

I was impressed! Technician called ahead, was on time. Very knowledgeable & friendly, didn't try to upsell me on anything and taught me some things regarding filters and air flow that no other company has ever done. Will continue to use them for future service.

We have used Cunningham since they started this business. They are always on time and do exactly what they say they will do. We have had to move around several units at our house due to construction and each time has been a great experience. The bi-annual checkup went well as always. Scheduling was a breeze, the technician arrived on time and the work was completed as expected. I appreciate how careful the technicians are to explain what they did during the visit and always clean up any attic insulation that spills. I have been unhappy with the HVAC system in my home since it was installed during a major renovation a few years ago. Despite my instructions to the builder to put in a better than average system he installed a builder grade system that never performed satisfactorily. We were always hot in the summer and cold in the winter. I asked Bob Cunningham if there was a better option. Bob personally evaluated our system and requirements and provided several options. We decided to have Cunningham Associates install their recommended system. The results have far surpassed my expectations. The installation was done on time and on budget. The installers were extremely careful to protect floors, carpet walls and ceilings during the process. The system operates flawlessly and consistently maintains the set temperature without difficulty. We have never been more comfortable in our home than we are with this new HVAC system. We have even noticed that our power bills are less than they were when we were uncomfortable. My only regret is not having Cunningham Associates do this work sooner! I can?t recommend them highly enough.

I came home to a partially flooded basement that resulted from our hot water heater. The unit had died and burst which led to a flooded basement and no hot water! I immediately called Cunningham Associates Heating and Air Conditioning, and they responded quickly. The technician came out first thing in the morning, diagnosed the problem and replaced the unit, all in that same day. I was very pleased with the service from start to finish and highly recommend them. In addition, they annually service my HVAC system and take very good care of it as well!

Sloppy and submitted ridiculous price. They now refuse to work on equipment they serviced in the past because they do not like to be held to a reasonable standard with reasonable prices. I would avoid them if possible.

We had used a home warranty company that had found ways to make us have to use their services again. Basically just partially fixing our AC unit so they would have to come back. Cunningham came in and let us know several different options to fix our issues and made sure not to pressure us into more than we could afford. Our technician Trevor was very personable and did a great job. I would use them again and would highly recommend them to anyone with Heating or AC issues.

On a very hot summer day in our office, the air conditioning stopped working. We called several HVAC providers and Cunningham was the first to return call and was able to get there within a reasonable time frame. The staff was uncomfortable so we sent them out for an extended lunch and by the time they returned, the HVAC was fixed! We were so very grateful to Cunningham for their quick response and professionalism. We highly recommend and we will use them for business and personal HVAC services.

Now imagine calling the furnace company and having a technician fix the problems within 24 hours after calling --- despite the bad roads! Not many companies left with this kind of work ethic. I trust Cunningham Associates implicitly. Mr Trevor Hall is a wonderful example of a craftsman who is proud of his trade and really knows what he is doing with great integrity.

Due to an extreme cold spell, the water in a tube froze far enough back that it caused the heater to shut down. The technician assessed the problem quickly and restarted the system with a short term fix during the cold spell. Afterward, he identified the tubing outside the house and shorted it to a point where it should not freeze going forward. Overall I was very pleased with the professionalism, speed and quality of service delivered. This is apparently a common problem and easy to address, however they responded to my initial request on the same day and did what needed to be done. During the initial phone call they suggested that this would be the problem and that I could potentially fix it without them coming out. This demonstrated right off the bat that they were not looking to fleece their customer for the fixed fee they charge to come to your house. The final comment I have for Cunningham is the most positive one, and it relates to a mistake of mine. I forgot to present the technician with the $25 off Angie's List coupon and was charged the full amount of the service. When I called to remedy the situation he was extremely accommodating and wound up sending me a refund check when all was said and done. It was refreshing dealing with a company who was extremely customer service oriented and was helpful even when I forgot to do something. In summary, they did a great job and I will use them again if I have any issues with my HVAC.

They delivered as they said they would

We have always been impressed and satisfied with Cunningham. The office staff's communication is clear and concise, and the office is very well organized. The maintenance crews are always on time, knowledgeable, and perform the work efficiently and thoroughly. While we primarily use them for service and maintenance, on previous occasions we have had great experiences with their installation teams too. We strongly recommend Cunningham to everyone!

Cunningham did a great job for us. The night of August 15th our AC blower went out. I was away on business and my pregnant wife was home and they visited that day to assess the problem. They did their best to provide a solution, but the fix required a part that would not come in until Monday the following week. As luck would have it, my wife went into labor on Friday so we ended up staying at the hospital a few days and were not in need of AC. They came to our house Monday as soon as the part was delivered by UPS to ensure we had a working unit. These guys are caring, honest, and dependable. I wouldn't hesistate to call them and use them for HVAC needs.

I was interested in a whole new unit for my house and they seemed genuinely honest and not trying to up-sell me on something I didn't really need. The installers were very professional and informative but the inside unit is much much bigger than the first guy originally made it sound like it was going to be so it takes up so much space in my laundry room.
