Scheduling was a week out or so. When I spoke to the representative to schedule, it was recommended that I upgrade my coupon to the extended diagnosis. I didn't really want to but because I have DSL I figured it would take the extra $40 to do the diagnosis. It took almost a whole day to do the diagnosis. The person was very nice and found some malware on my system and removed it. However, I had issues following the work. It took a little while to get through to get a response. I put a different antivirus on in the mean time and it found malware (one of the same ones) so I was unhappy. I spoke to a different representative who told me it looks like malware to some antivirus programs but really isn't. Since Malware was on the machine that they found I figured that meant that my antivirus wasn't working.... but he said my antivirus was a good one (Avast) so I took off the Kipersky (?) and put the Avast back. I contacted via email and said I would be giving them a negative review because I wasn't getting a response and still had issues. The first representative got back to me and believed my issues were caused by my DSL. So I ordered cable with comcast. Then the computer acted up again! So I back to representative (there are only two people I think) and she scheduled a remote session for a couple of days later (today). I called Comcast and they came out and said there was a problem with "noise" on the connection and will be turning off the neighborhood to repair it yesterday. One of my issues happened last night so with the meeting via phone and computer the representative diagnosed my computer fan needs help to correct the flickering issue. I was not happy that the computer issues were in stages that I had to initiate. Because I am not computer savvy, I am rating with a B since some of this may be my expectations were too high. Also, when I bought the $50 service I believed that was an hour to find out what was wrong when right away I was told it wouldn't be enough time, I would need to buy the $99 service. It took weeks to get what I now hope is a resolution. Today I was informed that the issues are because the computer is getting too hot so I am buying a cooling mat. The fan works but maybe not well enough... which may be why it flickers and won't turn off the programs or the screen. We'll see. Honestly, I would rate them lower but the people are nice.

My computer was running slow, would hang up and I would have to reboot. Wasn't sure if I had any virus. Knew I had unwanted programs and didn't know how to delete.Set up an appointment. Donna called at appointment time. It took her over 5 hours to completely check out my computer, deleted old files, cleaned up everything. When she finished advised me of what I needed to do to increase my memory and increase my speed. Also advised me on brands of computers to buy should I want to buy a new one as my computer system was an old one. She was very informative and answered any and all questions I had. She was very personable, knowledgeable and professionable. I would definitely use them again should I have any further problems. It was certainly more convenient for me to have their service performed in-house as opposed to me disconnecting everything and lugging it to a local service and then having to reconnect everything. Their cost was very reasonable as compared to having someone come to my home. I would very highly recommend them.

They were able to access my machine remotely and do the needed repairs.

I purchased an Angie's List Big Deal for this service, but not everything was solved. Only about 80-percent of it was solved. He was here on time.

The provider called when she said she would, we talked on the phone to establish what I wanted/expected, what problems I was having with my computer. She explained what she planned on doing then brought up a list of programs, i.e. games and had me mark the ones I wanted to keep and what could go; then another list of programs were listed so I could mark which ones I knew I had loaded and what I hadn't, she stayed on the phone with me during this whole process. She took control of my computer and started her magic! In no the task was complete and my computer definitely runs faster and the hard crash that was happening frequently hasn't happened since it was worked on. I know enough about computers to be dangerous! I can fix most of the problems without outside help, but not this time! I would recommend them to my friends, it was super easy, I didn't have to take my computer somewhere and leave it, I could watch what was being deleted, she asked me a few times about different programs, files, etc. meaning she didn't just wipe it without any input from me. Great service, fantastic price, well worth it!

It was very good, excellent. I had a problem and I called them back. They cheerfully took care of it. They were very helpful when I returned the call. They thoroughly went through my entire computer. It was a positive experience. I was very pleased and the computer is working perfectly now. It was a big deal purchase. I had a coupon which was $59 and they spent 3 hours. They just charged me $99 and I thought that was really fair. They were reasonable and I was most happy about that. The price was wonderful.

I purchased their "Big Deal," for $99.99. Donna called when she said she would and got started immediately. She worked on my computer for about 3 hours using a remote connection. She was very nice and her expertise amazing. I am so happy to be able to use my computer again without wanting to throw it out the window. I highly recommend this company for your computer needs!

I feel like I have a brand new laptop. It works as fast as it did when i first bought it. There's no way I could have done it myself. Thomas connected remotely and took care of business. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!

We had lost ability to print and to launch Internet Explorer. Needed help quickly, but didn't want to have to unplug everything and haul our desktop computer somewhere to be serviced. So looked to Angie's List for companies that could provide remote tech service. Purchased a coupon for Alexander Technical Resources (ATR) and crossed my fingers. The next day, we made an appointment for early the following morning with Spencer. Was hopeful the problem could be resolved quickly, but unfortunately we had unsolvable issues with our 7-year-old operating system and hard drive. We happened to have a brand new laptop that was going to be a gift, but we decided to use it to get us running again. My greatest fear was losing data from the old computer. On the advice of Spencer, I went out and bought a backup drive. After lunch, with backup drive in hand, I got back online with Donna at ATR who was able to transfer what we needed over to the new laptop. Spencer and Donna were helpful, knowledgeable, and most importantly patient. To have the problem diagnosed and resolved and to be back in business the same day was a minor miracle! I could not possibly thank them enough or recommend them highly enough. They will be the group I call when/if we encounter computer problems any time in the future.

It took over 8 hours to scan my PC and clean for viruses, but when it was done, I've had no problems.

!This service was done remotely: I signed in, technician took over the machine and completed the work. It worked well. I was able to watch what was going on. I have had experience with computers, so I know what was happening, but I really appreciated knowing that the software tools and the information were current.

Donna asked what symptoms I had observed, and any conditions I wanted to be changed. She listened closely, addressed each of my questions/requests, and reviewed existing software with me to determine what I used. She then took remote control of my PC, spent about 3 hours scanning, defragmented the hard drive, removed all the malware, and updated some software that was obsolete. She called at the appointed time, went right to work, gave me some advice, and called me back when she was done to see if I had any more questions. During the time between calls, I checked the computer screen periodically, and could see what was happening -- some of it I even understood. She was quite personable, and thoroughly knowledgeable and professional.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. It worked pretty well. He performed the services that he was able to on our computer. He really didn't get everything done that I hoped he would because he said our computer didn't have the equipment to run as fast as I wanted it to. They did a good job of calling and setting up the time. He let me know what was done and what he was not able to do at the end of the service so that went well. They were very professional.

Called and asked them to contact my daughter, who is away at college, and see if they could remove a virus that was on her laptop. They scheduled a date and time and they adhered to that. The problem was fixed and my daughter stated that the system works great now and all the problems have been corrected. They were much cheaper than Geek Squad and I would definitely recommend them to others and they will be my first call if I have any problems with my computers in the future.

They were able to tune up my computer but told me that my hard drive has a defect and they cannot fix it because it can only be done on site. They provided me with alternatives and suggested vendors.

The woman who handled my work order was Donna. She was the most polite, efficient person ever. She called back when she said she would, the remote began when she said it would, and it went seamlessly. She told me the company was also known as Atlanta Technical Support. I would highly recommend this company.

I purchased a big deal from them and they were absolutley fabulous. They walked me through everything. My computer is running so much faster now. I called them yesterday to have some questions answered. He took control of my computer and answered a lot of questions for me.

It was very good. They logged in to my computer and went through it and took out all of the malware and items that automatically load when you get on line and stuff like that. He also put me a malware icon on my computer so that I can check every week and see if there is any other malware in there. It was a whole lot easier, you didn't have to deal with people. If he came across anything that was a problem or something then he just calls me at my house and asks me to reboot or whatever and that was it. It was very nice. It was very simple. He told me everything that I needed to do and basically on my end, all I had to do was click on a couple of things and then click yes when he got on there so it couldn't have been any easier. It is going a lot quicker than it did but it is an old computer so it doesn't really have enough software to make it run like it should but it was a whole lot faster than it was before I contacted him.
