After a misunderstanding about the means of the initial contact, things went very smoothly. (Apparently the contact times I specified to Angie's did not get to ATL. I expected and awaited a phone call, but only got an e-mail asking me to call for an appointment.) After the initial confusion a technician, Donna, did call me and straightened everything out. She also explained the on-line nature of the service, complete with instructions on how to regain control from my end at any time. Then, while I watched the screen and listened on the phone, Donna took over my computer on-line. She explained each step and everything she was doing as she performed the analysis and software repairs. She was very thorough and patient, answering all my questions to my complete satisfaction. The "tune-up" took about two and a half hours. It was complete and thorough, and Donna remained available to talk to me the entire time. (And, no, I did not have to stay on the phone the entire time.) It is now a couple of weeks later and there have been no further issues with the computer. I will definitely go back to Donna and ATL. (In fact, this "tune-up" went so well, I am planning to have the same procedure done on a second computer within the next couple of weeks.)

I saw this provider on Angie's List soon after I joined. Since the price and "remote" option appealed to me, as well as the positive reviews submitted by AL members, I called the company with several questions and initially spoke with Spencer, who took the time to answer them all. I spoke with Donna a few days later to set up an appointment and asked a couple more questions, which she, too, answered. I was given a 30-minute window during which Spencer would call on the morning of my appointment for the remote tune-up; he called within that window. He asked that I be available for between 2-4 hours, in case we lost the connection. Spencer quickly walked me through getting us connected and he had to call once during the four-hour tune-up to have me restore a lost connection. Before beginning the clean-up, Spencer asked what problems I was having and went through the list of programs installed on my computer one by one to determine which could be uninstalled and/or which ones I no longer used. At the end of the tune-up, my computer was running faster than before which very few "hiccups" (e.g., some icons were no longer on my desktop, some websites worked better on one browser than another) but none which affected the use of my computer. I am pleasantly surprised by how easy this experience was and how well my computer is running now. I would definitely recommended this service to others.

I told the service technician that I was having problems with my computer running very slow and getting the "kiss of death" on my Mac. He told me that they would completely clean up my computer and that it would take care of the problem. Then my computer would be like brand new. He told me it would take about three hours, so I gave them control of my computer. After a few hours, I was contacted again and told that there was something wrong with my hard drive and we would have to try to fix it. So he took me step by step and he got it fixed. My computer did run better, but then I later ran into the same problem again. I did not have the name of the technician, so I didn't call back right away. I had to go out of town and then just let it go because I started school and did not have time to work with it. I still have problems with my computer hanging up when trying to load a new site: i.e., the "kiss of death." If I restart my computer, it is better again for a while. The problem is two-sided--mine because I did not call them back, and theirs because the original problem was not corrected. I still gave them an A rating because of half of this was my fault for not following up. I think too much time had passed for me to contact them.

I am very pleased with this service. They worked remotely on my daughter's laptop for 4 1/2 hours to clean off multiple viruses, install updates and do general trouble shooting. She is back at school now and it is working like new!

The person who did the cleanup called me at the agreed upon time and spent a few hours with my computer. He seemed in a bit of a hurry to finish though and left a few details. I had to call back to find out what the new icons were for on my desktop, and answer a few other questions. The woman who answered the phone was very helpful and completed the cleanup to my complete satisfaction. I think it should have been finished up the first time though and thus the B grade instead of an A

The service went very well. The people who helped me and spoke to me on the phone were very courteous and knowledgeable. Because we lost connectivity we had to go to a second day for the scanning of my computer; but they worked with me and were very accommodating. I am very pleased with the service received. It was well worth the cost and my computer is running better.

Spencer ROCKS!!!! My computer is performing like it did when I purchased it. He cleaned out a bunch of malware, corrupt files and cookies. He updated some software. Programed it to update on a more timely basis. I am so pleased with the experience that when my husband finishes up with this session of school in a week or so, I plan on purchasing a deal to have Spencer work on his!!!! I love the fact this is done remotely.

They spent three hours trying to get computer all cleaned up. It may have been too big a job because there were still issues and had to have local IT guy finish up job. Miscommunication on one appointment because I am CST and they are ESTime.

Based on Angie's List reviews I called this supplier as a possible resource for repairing a problem with my computer. I am not an expert on computers but have used them for many, many years. I think they would be a good resource if you don't know much about computers and needed to remove a virus or adware, etc. However, they did not really understand the problem I was having; which has turned out to be a hardware issue.

It took several hours, and I wasn't really sure what they were doing the whole time. It runs slighly faster now.

Short on time, but went extremely well and when i had to leave because of time contraints so we scheduled for the next day to continue. Absolutely no problems since and will use again if I develop issues. It will take 2-4 hours but you don't need to sit directly in front of your computer for that amount of time.

Spent several hours working through several problems. They stuck with the project until everything was resolved. Very good to work with and will use them again in the future.

Spencer called back right away and we set up an appointment for the following week. He ran diagnostics on the laptop and informed me that it was NOT a software issue, but a hardware issue (probably the motherboard) and recommended that I call the manufacturer immediately because of the age of the machine (almost out of warranty). I was able to contact Sony, and they (unfortunately) had me reformat the hard drive which did not fix the problem. But they did have a tech come out shortly to replace the motherboard. So far so good. I would definitely contact Spencer if the laptop starts to act up again, even if to tell me it's a hardware issue that I need Sony to fix. I trust his judgement.

Called company and explained computer issue. Was prompted to purchase coupon from Angie's list site. Purchased the coupon and called back. It was then discovered that services provided would not be able to solve computer issue. Was told to contact Angie's list and return the coupon. Company was honest and apologized for inconvenience.

They said there would be no reason to add more RAM because Microsoft wouldn't be supporting my model in the future. I had no problem with it.

The total process took approx. 3+ hrs to complete. I think a thorough job was done and the time to do so was not a concern to them as they didn't rush.

On time efficient remote service.

I purchased a $99 deal to clean up the computer, give it a tune up. I had never had an intrusive program attached itself to my operating system. It was driving me crazy! It took a couple of days to schedule the appointment which is fine by me. Donna called when she said she would and we did a remote link so she could see what is going on in my laptop. She ran all kinds of diagnostics, scans, and things I don;t even know about for well over 4 hours the first day. Due to the time, we scheduled another appointment for the next day. Donna was prompt, professional, polite and has a good sense of humor to boot. I honestly felt bad for her since she spent so much time on my machine! Donna did a great job and vastly improved my computer's performance. The laptop is about 4 years old and I am sure it can never return to what it once was. Kind of like an old car. But they did an excellent job fixing up the laptop so I can continue to use it for a couple of more years. Heck, Donna even called and told me what to do when my email was hacked and they received an email from my account! I definitely recommend them and certainly would use them again!
