My computer has been running slow for several months. my biggest delay in taking action was having my computer looked at by someone whose trustworthiness or expertise i could not verify. over the years, a few computers later, and many geographical moves, i did not know of a "local" repair technician i felt i could trust. a few costly mistakes under my belt, and too many horror stories out there i guess. i joined angie's list last week and decided i felt much more comfortable choosing a service provider who other people had left feedback about. I chose Alexander Technical Resources based on the numerous positive reviews they have thus far received. i just finished my appointment with Thomas about an hour ago. i set up the appointment a few days ago. Thomas called promptly at the scheduled appointment time and went right to work giving me the link so that he could remote into my computer. we talked on the phone for a short time while he verified that he had all the information he needed regarding the issues i was having. he explained i didn't need to stay on the phone the entire time he was working, but that i would have the ability to see everything he was doing the entire time he worked. he explained that he would call me back as soon as the work and cleanup was completed. The only regret i have is that they don't live in my neck of the woods. I'd have them come over and do the memory install for me. i was impressed by the fact that Thomas was only on the phone with me for a few minutes when he discovered the major reason for my computer's slowness: not enough memory installed on my computer for the operating system i was running. which should have been known by my local computer repair shop when they loaded the operating system after my computer "blue screened" on me. while Thomas was doing the tuneup/cleanup, he researched on the internet where i could find the memory that would be compatible with my "older" computer. At the end of the session while Thomas was terminating the "remote connection link, he asked me if i had any other questions or concerns that still needed to be addressed. he also encouraged me to call the toll free number anytime in the future if questions or problems came up. he spent about 3 hours total doing what i consider a thorough check up/tuneup i WOULD NOT HESITATE TO USE THIS COMPANY'S SERVICES AGAIN! Thomas was professional, efficient, patient, knowledgeable and courteous. The remote session (on a Sunday!!) was most convenient for me. Donna was professional and courteous when she set up my appointment for me with Thomas..............MANY THANKS!

If you are having issues with your computer, run, do not walk. to work with this company. Spencer was the technician I worked with. He was patient, persistent and professional in addressing the issues on my computer. He is very knowledgeable and no problem was too difficult address. He took all the time [considerable] necessary to get us up and running. I could not recommend this service more highly.

I needed my computer looked at so I turned to Angie's List for a reasonably priced and reliable company. I found Alexander Technical Resources and read some of the recent reviews. All were A ratings and had very good comments in their write-ups. I bought the deal and almost instantly received a message to contact the company for scheduling. They were able to schedule for the next day, so I was extremely pleased about that. Spencer Alexander called me and we spoke about the $59 deal I purchased. The problems with my computer were going to take much longer than that cost would allow, so I agreed to the $99 4-hour complete computer scan and repair. My computer is a Dell desktop that we purchased new in 2007 that is just for home use, but I was worried that it was not going to be saved. Spencer took remote control of my computer in safe mode and fixed all the problems. I had no idea how many infections and corruptions were within my computer! The repair did take almost the full 4 hours, but luckily my computer was safe again and ready to go. Spencer is extremely professional and knowledgeable in his profession. I would definately use his service again and will tell everyone I know about him. I like the fact that I didn't have to rely on technical support from an in-home service man, but instead receive repair through a remote connection. We had purchased a big deal for the service, and they are absolutely fabulous. They did a good job of cleaning it up.They were fabulous.

We had purchased a big deal for the service, and it went well. I do have a concern with the computer, but as far as the clean up, and work was fine. I haven't called them about this problem, but I did have a problem after the maintenance. When my computer is not being used it tends to freeze on me, and I have to turn it off with the power button. That has been happening every now and then since they did the maintenance, I will be calling him in the next couple of days. I had pop up problems, and he got rid of those. I had an issue after the clean up, and my computer was not connecting to the internet, so I called him, and he fixed it for me. It was an online service. I called him up, he gave me a web address with which they could connect to my computer. He got rid of the problems that my computer had.

Spencer did a good job but I felt like they could have done a little better job explaining what service they are performing because its a little confusing if you don't know all the technical terms. They were nice and had great customer service just would like a little clearer communication on the Big Deals that are on Angie's List so the average knows what they are getting beforehand.

Spencer was great. He took remote control of my computer and cleaned up all the junk that had accumulated and was slowing it's performance. He was very professional. I would definitely use him again.

I called and made my appointment for the remote PC clean up by Alexander Technical Resources. They called me at the appointed time and day and proceeded to do the clean up. The lady who did my clean up and scan was very helpful with all the questions I had, very friendly, very professional and efficient. She explained in detail all the proceedures and steps and approximately how long the whole process would take. She began the clean up and after about 20 minutes, she said that she had started the scan of all files which could take about 2 hrs. I did not have to hold, but rather, they call you back when the scan is completely done and go over some final issues and details. It was a fantastic experience from a customer service standpoint. The price was excellent and my computer is back the the speeds and responsiveness that it had the day I first purchased it..lightning fast! I highly endorse this company!!

Donna has been working to get rid of all the malicious softwares and viruses which infected our computer and helped us to restore the code necessary to receive our e-mails. Our computer works very well now. We will certainly use Alexander Technical Resources again in case we need it. Thank you so much.

Donna Vogler is a magician! She remotely fixed and cleaned up multiple problems with my computer. Although this was a $59 Angie's List "Big Deal," it was apparent that more time was needed which I gladly paid for. The way it worked was that I would call Donna (always toll-free) so that she could give me the passwords and keys to enter which enabled her to remotely see and work on my computer. She then got to work. Sometimes she would call me regarding specific issues with various programs that might be causing trouble.Communication between us was always clear. I wish I could explain everything she did, but obviously I am not bright enough to give the details. What counts is that my computer has not had any issues since then. Donna was pleasant, professional and kind, and I would recommend this company to everyone who has problems with their computers.

It went very well. Spencer was very professional and went right to work. He remotely cleaned up my computer. It took over 5 hours and I had several viruses which he repaired and removed. My computer is running much faster and I am not getting all the pop ups that I was getting before. He installed several Windows updates. I am very pleased with Alexander Technical Resources and the computer clean up that Spencer performed for me.

When I made an appointment, I was told a technician will call between 9 and 9:30. Donna called around 9:25 explaining that a tech assigned to me was ironically having his computer issues and she'd take care of my case. She listened to my explaining the problems I was having and then connected to my laptop remotely. She checked around and then explained what she'd be doing and will call back when she's finished. I was able to see what she was doing on my laptop as she was doing. About an hour later she called to say it's done. I asked a few questions and she did a few minor adjustments. I was satisfied with the result and then she said to call back if there is any issue. It took more than an hour from the initial call. She was very pleasant, competent and did what she said she'd do.

Donna called at 9am, a half hour before I expected, but a nice change from my normal experience with contractors which are almost always late. She spent a great deal of time asking me about the problems I was having with my laptop. Explained everything she would be doing, and, when going through all the programs I had, asked me if I used the programs that she wanted to delete, and explained why they should be deleted. She also gave me several tips that I could do to improve the performance of my machine. This was all done remotely as she was in Atlanta, and I'm in Blue Springs, MO. I could see everything she did my watching the screen.There was also a 'chat' button provided that allowed me to ask any questions. The scans and repairs she did took several hours. The fee I was chaged was the same fee offered on a coupon, which I didn't have, but she honored the coupon price. After the work was done, and I had a chance to check-out the laptop, I had a couple of issues I needed to ask about, and I called back, and Donna answered promptly, and answered questions to my satisfaction. I will not hesitate to use this service again.

It went not very well at all. They failed to do the job and they left it and it wasn’t connected to the printer and there was some other minor problem with it. I called them back and talked to the lady and she said she is very busy at that time and will call me back that afternoon but I never heard from them to this day. The experience with them, I think it wasn’t much good in it.

My computer was just really not working very well, sometimes it wouldn't even turn on. Called this company, they answered right- said they would call back at 3pm the following day, which was fine, and they did - they called back promptly. They then accessed my computer remotely and did a wonderful job. I was on the phone with them for maybe 30-40 minutes, and it was all taken care of it, it my computer has been working great ever since.

I was having trouble with the computer freezing and couldn't figure out why. Donna remotely checked everything on my computer. She deleted some old files; re-installed the ones I might have been having trouble with; checked for viuses and malware. While we couldn't find a program causing the problems, she made several recommendations on physical issues that might be contributing to my problem. Donna waited patiently while I took notes of the steps in detail, and offered to answer any additional questions I might have in the future on these issues. She also answered questions for me on additional hardware and security options for my system. She spent almost 3 hours on my computer. The peace of mind alone is worth the money. I definitely recommend ATR and Donna for outstanding service.

They called when they said they would. They were very patient with me when I got instructions.

Technicians were on-time, cordial, experienced, thorough. and very professional. Required two separate sessions for a total of nearly 3 1/2 hrs of work. They remotely logged-in and performed a very through cleaning of the machine with issues. They checked for viruses and malware, removed unneeded software and updated other software, disconnected and disabled possibly offending pieces of hardware, and checked start-up programs and logs to ensure all was well. Very pleased so far and the cost couldn't be beat for the amount and quality of work performed.

They did a good job. They seemed very organized and got me on their books right away so I had a time that worked for me, and they did the job. I was very pleased. They gave me a time when I was off work so it worked out great, and they worked on it for hours. They also gave is some good advice.

The owner is the one who contacted me, but he turned me over to someone who he thought was in the best position to help me. They immediately wanted to know if they could take over my computer and I told them yes. Although, I don't feel like the owner explained to them what my problems were. They thought that I needed my computer cleaned up, while it did end up working, it did not solve my problem. About a month later, I just went out and bought a new computer.
