Description of Work: They didn't really provide any services but, after looking at a virus via sharing computers, Donna did some digging for more info on-line (I think) and informed us that unfortunately it couldn't be fixed -- all my files had gotten encrypted. She gave us lots of valuable info to help us out and reminded us that our Groupon was still good to use.

We really are sorry to have to give this customer the bad news of her files. There is a VERY NASTY Virus out that encrypts all of your documents, pictures, music and videos. Unfortunately as of right now there is NO WAY to remove that virus completely and retrieve the data. This virus has several versions already and getting nastier as they go. We hope people will take precautions from this by copying your date to an external hard drive THEN unplug that drive from the computer. This virus infects everything that is attached to it, Cloud services like drop-box, Sky drive, Google drive, etc., along with other computer that are connected to it, and external drives like Flash drives, Printer memory cards, and other external hard drives. Description of Work: He cleaned up my computer, got rid of virus, removed malware and spyware, installed virus, malware, and spyware protection, and also helped me install separate account for kid's use and explained the family protection offered by Microsoft and helped me set that up as well. He was extremely friendly, helpful, and professional. He spent 4+ hours working on my computer, he went above and beyond my expectations for an extremely reasonable price. I highly reccommend this company.

Description of Work: They did a maintenance check on my iMac computer - it had several "kinks" in |it, was slow. Alexander Tech Resources was very professional - they fixed my computer remotely - it took about an hour or so. My computer is now running |normally.

Description of Work: Everything (?) ok except the most important. They failed to fix the MIcrosoft Updater. The main cause of my problem is that updates were not being made because this Updater was not working.

This member paid for a cleanup. The cleanup is a set procedure. Although repair of the windows update module is not included, my technician attempted to fix the issue for free. She realized that it would likely take a couple of hours to fix it and told the member that we would have to charge extra. The member chose not to pay the extra. He got an excellent deal with the cleanup for $99 for up to 4 hours of our time. The reality is that we must pay our bills, mortgages, insurances, child expenses, etc. We cannot and do not work for free. If you are a member reading this, please don't expect us to work for you for free as this member apparently does.

We show that we complted this cleanup 3 months ago in November. When we finishe the cleanup we email the member as well with all our contact information and ask them to give us a call back if they experience any issues. Our records show that the member did NOT call us back to let us know he had any issues. Had the member contacted us, we would have bent over backwards to try and help again. I would also like to reiterate that the cleanup is NOT a FIXALL for EVERY machine. Some machines may be too old or have failing hardware which cannot be fixed by the cleanup. Were sorry that the cleanup was not the solution for the member. Please keep in mind that we try everything in our power to fix people's computers, we do not cause their problems, they come to us with the problems already.

To start we should note that this member is very hard of hearing that communication was darn near impossible. The member's internet connection was broken and kept going off during our attempt to work on the machine. Also, the technician notes that the computer would also just freeze up in safe-mode. This behavior is indicative of failing hardware which a cleanup cannot address. We asked the member to call us back after he had worked with his internet service provider to fix his internet connection and we would attempt to complete the work. The member failed to call us back.

It was not necessary for me to sit by the computer for the two hours it was being serviced. Description of Work: My desktop computer had become slow and unresponsive whenever I was online. The service provided was to clean out files containing "malware" that had collected over the years. I had this procedure done on both my desktop (which was the computer with the major problem) and my laptop (which just needed a quick clean up). Donna V. was very professional and friendly. She was very patient in explaining things in layman terms so I could understand the problem and what needed done. Both my computers are now working great. I would definitely use this company again.

Description of Work: My son's computer had several programs designed to "identify viruses" and clean registry. Upon removal, created issues with hard drive. It still works but the hard drive over heated while they worked on it. It's garbage. Not their fault. Just can't put anymore money into figuring if it could get better.
