Description of Work: While "cleaning" my computer, an error occurred that per the technician had 'never happened before' and I was told was an issue due to Windows 10. This error resulted in my computer being unusable at all. To their credit, the technician and his supervisor spent a lot of time trying to get the issue resolved, and were able to do so after @ a week. The technician then completed the computer "clean up," but my computer did not operate any better than before the service started. I do not feel like I received any benefit from the money spent.

We apologize to the member that we could NOT be of help to him. His computer had been upgraded to Windows 10 and he had massive problems with the upgrade specifically. We spent probably a total of 20 hours trying to help him. We are saddened that he felt he had to leave us a poor review after all the time, energy, skill, knowledge and money we spent trying to help him.

Description of Work: He removed unused programs and malware from my computer and made other corrections so it works better. Sort of like a good housecleaning. This is the third time I've used this company. I have an annual contract so can call them whenever I wish. I usually call them every 4 months.

Description of Work: I first contacted ATR and discovered to my delight that I had found someone who really understood my laptop and could really clean house and make it run so much better. Since that first contact, I believe they have "cleaned" my computer two more times and it is about time to call them again. They are prompt, patient, very good at what they do and my computer always works so much better after they have taken care of it. And all of this without even leaving my home. They have me as a customer for life - even if I get a new computer.

Description of Work: He cleaned up my computer. It was so easy on my part - he did all the work. It took almost 3 hours and I was able to go about the house doing what I needed to do. I am not experienced with computers so was a bit apprehensive about doing this but there were no problems for me. I would definitely use him again.

Thanks for leaving your opinion? We completely disagree with this member. We live by the 4 R's. Reduce, Reuse, Repair and Recycle. A decent machine will cost at least $500. The cost of software, setting it up, transferring old data and configuring your settings over several months adds to pain and costs of replacing a machine. Spending $100 every couple of years to maintain a computer is well worth the cost and extends the life of the machine. We suggest you read all the other reviews from members just like you to determine the quality of our work and the value it has brought to thousands of other members. In our opinion, simply replacing a computer because it is slow is purely diabolical and shows no respect for our resources, planet or the future of our civilization.

I looked through the members account notes and see that the member had a vicious virus in the explorer.exe file, the main file for running windows interface. Our cleanup only took 4 hours but my technicians took it upon themselves to spend the extra time to remove this very foul infection and failed to charge the member any additional time. Please keep in mind that if we have to go over the four hours allotted for the cleanup, we will have to charge for the extra time spent. That being said, this is a super rare occasion when we come across a member with an infection this bad or ever go over the allotted four hours. We are surprised that the member could even boot their computer. We thank the member for taking the time to leave us a review and hope that they will continue to use us in the future.
