My overall experience with Alexander Technical was wonderful. I contacted them through Angie's List and received a call the next morning to set up an appointment. My appointment was with Donna, and she called me right on time. I had purchased a new laptop and it was already giving me problems. Donna went through the laptop and my internet connections. Judging by the dates she located inside the laptop, the machine I received must have been refurbished. The laptop was supposed to be new. Donna spent a couple of hours on this, and I could see everything she was doing the entire time. I returned the laptop the next day for a refund. Donna is awesome at what she does, and I highly recommend her and Alexander Technical Resources.

I decided to try this service to see if they could help me get rid of hacker program trying to penetrate my computer's personal firewall by attempting port scan attacks. These attacks are originating from China and Russia. Somehow, whatever program they are using finds my IP address whenever I logged onto the internet. Even though she tried to locate the malware program on my computer, she was not able to do so because the port scanning attacks have continued. Currently, my security software (Eset Smart Security System) is protecting my computer and notifying me whenever they try to attack, I will have to either have a technican come to my home or take my computer to them so everything can be erased from my harddrive and then resinstall Windows 7 and the rest of my software to get rid of whatever malware that has been planted on my computer. I liked the technician that tried to help me. I felt she was professional and kind. This service was performed remotely. I will use them again for straightforward computer needs but something complex as my current problem ... I will have to use a local computer technical service to either come to my home or take my computer to their location.

The story is above. Overall, I think it went well and I was pleased with the service. I would contact them again for assistance.

I was having problems with computer slowness. Service technician (sorry, cannot remember her name) was very prompt when she called at our scheduled appointment time. She was very courteous and explained thoroughly the work that she was performing. She provided very good information about my issue and the version of operating software that I was running. She resolved my issue at that time and I was pleased with the service that I had received. Thanks much.

They di well with the work, the timing of the appointment went well, the technician was professional and friendly. My only regret is that the services performed did not improve the speed of the computer as much as I had hoped. I don't fault the service but was just hoping that my old computer could be enhanced more than appear possible.

I called the company and spoke with an assistant who made an appointment with me to have the owner contact me by telephone. The owner called on time and told me how to log him onto my computer. After this was done, he told me he would call back when he finished the defraging process. He called back within 5 or so minutes and told me I needed to get a new computer as there is just too much data on it and the software is very old. The owner did not recommend a manufacturer nor did he want to charge me. I thought he should have some payment for his time and giving me his recommendations. I am not very tech savvy and there were a couple of times when I could hear some impatience in the owner's voice. However, I would use this service again as he was competent.

We had a computer issue for several days and my husband needed a speedy resolution. It was all a matter of availability. No negatives related to this vendor.

Good company. My computer is ready for the graveyard.

I had a coupon from Angie's List for one hour of remote technical support. I called and talked with Spencer Alexander, who promptly scheduled an appointment with me at my convenience. We set a time for the next day and Spencer called exactly at the specified time. We talked about the problems with my computer (locking up, extremely slow, not performing well) and he suggested that we first run a diagnostic program he had. He said it would take about an hour or a little more. The charges are then just a $1.00 for each minute after the initial hour. Well, turns out I had over 100 infections (even though I consistently use virus software) and the hard drive had not been defragmented in over 4 years! Spencer explained this to me and with my consent, proceeded to remotely fix my pc. It took three hours to defragment the disk, at which time, Spencer called me and he then uninstalled and reinstalled a program which was causing a problem. Unfortunately, during this process, we ran out of time but Spencer continued to fix the problem remotely, on his own time to be sure that I was satisfied with the performance of my computer. My computer is working perfectly and quickly. I couldn't be more pleased and would definitely recommend Alexander's Technical Support in the future.

They have replied and fixed the computer problem quickly.

The did a good job and checked registries and files that I could not easily find on my own, however they were unable to resolve the problem, through no fault of their own.

Donna, the computer technician, must have driven at least an hour to get to my home. She stayed in touch from the scheduling the appointment until she arrived. Such a pleasant and professional young woman. I am so pleased with the service and I will of course recommend this company to my friends. It's so important to have a trustworthy company to go to for computer needs, especially for those of us who as not as literate with computers as we would like to be. Donna explained things to me, was very patient, and made this set up much easier than I thought it would be. Thank you soooo much!!

I called ad explained the problems I was having - first with outlook - took awhile to fix but it got fix and than they set my pc's up to share files - there were great !!!

He was very easy to talk to and great about answering my questions. His service of my computer took about 3 hours and was a good value, especially for the peace of mind afterwards.

They called at the scheduled time, were very knowledgeable, spent the time actually fixing problems, instead of "guessing" whats wrong or making small talk as other computer repair tech have done in the past.

After I purchased the service (computer cleanup), I called the company to make an appt. They scheduled it at my convenience. and very soon. On the appt., the technician worked on my computer remotely, cleaning it up then gave me a quick summary tour of all that had bee done. The computer runs great and so much quicker now.

The tech came to my office and took my laptop apart. She quickly determined the problem and made the repair as soon as the part was received. I would definitely use them again.

Thoght went good but I think there was a problem with my computer before he started

Donna, the tech spoke American English, was very knowledgeable about hardware and software, and addressed every issue, answered all of my questions, and made helpful suggestions. The entire process took over three hours, but they were very well spent. My six month old Dell computer runs faster than it did when new, and my wireless internet connection runs at top speed. At $80.00, this was a no-brainer. I have spent considerably more than this in the past just to have my old computer virus cleaned. Top notch service. Taking my computer to a local repair tech and being without it for a few days now seems crazy to me.

I had an appointment with Alexander Technical Resources at 1200 on August 2, 2012. They called me promptly and logged in remotely to my computer and took it over and cleaned my computer and removed all of the viruses so that I was able to install my antivirus software.

Mostly it went well. However, in the initial conversation, I explained that I was having problems getting the computer to reboot everytime I I turned it off. As part of the maintenance process, she had me turn off the computer, before all the maintenance work was complete, even thought I had stated that getting it to reboot was the reason I asked for service in the first place. When it didn't reboot immediately, she advised me to leave it on and hopefully, it would reboot. It took over 24 hours after turning it back on for the computer come on. When the computer didn't come on, she had promised me she would call later, but she never did. I called several times. Finally, when I got hold of her, she said that she was sorry, but that she had forgotten to call me back. The computer ran better after the work was completed, but since I got the work done, I still cannot get my iPod to sync with my iTunes, which is really frustrating.

Excellent sped up computer. Stopped getting error messages, enhanced performance. Took about 2 1/2 hours. All done on line & on the phone.
