Great experience I called them on friday and made an appointment for monday they were prompt to call me back on monday at the time we had scheduled for them to call. it took a couple of hours but my laptop is now almost like new (it's several years old and to get any better response times would take just buying a new updated computer).
Description of Work: Spencer, tuned up and repaired my laptop by 'remote'. I was having problems with very slow response and slow down load times. It took awhile to get the remote hook up started and it took several hours to fix everything on my computer. We worth the $100 to fix and clean up my computer. Next I'm going to let him fix my husbands computer. I chose them because they are based in Atlanta and assumed they would be knowledgeable about my Delta connection, and they were. Would highly recommend them and will be using them again.

This was the first time I used them. Was completely satisfied with their ability, punctuality, and professionalism. I would not hesitate using them in the future and can recommend them highly.

Great experience. Very ease to work with.
Description of Work: Reviewed back up program to ensure it was properly working on all 4 our computers. Reviewed old backup data files and removed. Then walked me through the preliminary steps move data files to a new computer and then talked about downloading programs from old computer to new computer. Spent some time on navigating windows 8. I will start adding programs and call spencer back if I encountered problems with data files. Spencer was very professional and very knowledgeable with my programs, windows 7 & 8. I will use him for help again.

My computer is clearly faster. However, they have tried on two occasions to fix the "not responding" message and have not succeeded. I was told that they frequently cannot fix this problem online. I wish I had been informed of this up front. After the second try, I was told to let them know if it did not work. I did this, but have not had a response.
Description of Work: My initial problems were a slow computer and getting a message of "not responding" on a frequent basis. I hired them to correct the problems.

Description of Work: I called ATR because they were at the top of your list for computer repairs and they offered free phone consultation. I talked to a woman, can't remember her name, and told her my problem was no sound on my computer. I told her all connections were OK. She led me through several steps which led to an uninstall of the sound devices and then reinstall. This solved the problem. I asked her if I owed her anything. She said no, just remember us for your next service needed.

Thank you for your review. Your service was completed on January 4th. I have looked back over your worksheet, I see that there were several pieces of malware removed and a full cleanup was performed. The speed of your internet was VERY SLOW. This is one issue that we have no way of fixing. This is your Internet provider that has to fix that issue or you would have to move to a different internet provider. I do not recall getting any return phone calles for further assistance. Usually if there is a problem still causing your computer to be slow, we will take another look or put another technician on it for a fresh look. Again We do not have any notes of a return call. We do not feel that our grade is fair, due to not being given a chance to look at the issue again and possibly finding something else wrong. While we appreciate the review to let us know what we are doing wrong so we can fix what may be wrong in the company, we need to know soon after the issues so we can fix the problem. As I said previously she was very professional and courteous but overall if she is going to stay in this work I believe she needs more training.
Description of Work: My computer system was sending emails to everyone and running very very slow. She did a "cleanup" of my system that took about 3 1/2 hours which I thought was a little long. She did not respond to her prompts promptly. After she was complete she suggested AVG security package. I purchased this package and I am not happy with response time or virus catching. Won't purchase again next year

Thank you for your review of our service. After reviewing the records of the cleanup, I see that your system had 1 GB of RAM wich slows things dow a bit because Window XP Needs that RAM just to run itself, before anything else is opened or done. She did cleanup over 8,000 infected files on your system and felt that your Terend Micro was not doing a good job or may have been infected itself. Sometimes if the internet service is slow we do not get the refreshed screen for a moment. Your computer was the only one being worked on at the time, the only other thing to have taken her away from responding right away was answering the telephone. We suggest AVG as another alternative to some that people may be running, But it is jst that a suggestion. If you are unhappy with it, it can be removed and install whatever you want. When we suggest AVG it is the Free version, not the paid version. With the small amout of RAM on your computer, We can see where you may have a slow down of your system. As we normally do, We try to explain how the amount of RAM works, This amount Is sometimes the Main reason computers are SLOW. We also see this cleanup was done on October 26, 2012. We do not have any other notes that anyone called with further issues. Again thank you for your review and hopefully we have shed some light on your computer issues. Maybe you could rething our grade. Thank you again.

I bought the deal. They had availability later in the day. I was able to watch exactly what they were doing from my end. She talked me through many misc programs which were slowing down my system, gave me pointers for keeping my computer free of viruses, updated my software with better, more secure programs, and completed they whole tune up while I was out in my garden. My computer is working very well now. I plan to use this company again if problems come up.

After purchasing the computer tune up deal, I was immediately contacted to set up an appointment. Donna called right on time on March 28 and after discussing what would be done, she took control of my computer and did the tune up. My computer is running much faster than before and no longer freezes up. iOnce I contacted them, we tried to boot up the computer. I then found I also had a bad monitor. They helped me with advice on my best bet and also in getting it set-up.. They had to reschedule due to the bad monitor and did not charge me extra

They patiently guided me through what I needed to do and never made me feel uniinformed. They spent several hours plus hasd a lengthy scan done. It worked fine when they were through.

She was wonderful. The issue was much more complicated than either of us anticipated. I had one other issue, but by the time she corrected two issues, I was just too tired to work anymore. Would recommend this service and will use again if need occurs.
Description of Work: Lost IE 2007 on my computer, and the representative (do not recall her name) eventually found it. Also had difficulty with new router, which she fixed. I called ATC because my desktop I use in our Homebased Business was not responding and constantly locking up. I consider myself a computer novice and have no knowledge of how to check for system problems outside of "Scan Disk" or "Defragmentation". When Donna called be back she took control of my computer and diagnosed my problem. My CPU was crashing and I had to replace it with a new model that had greater hard drive memory and better processor. She referred me tothe greatest computer center I've ever been to and even found me a bargin on their website! Donna basically saved my business!

As I said above, I had tried to redo some things on my desk top and had made a MESS. I opted for the $99 service for 2 1/2 hrs. It took over8 hrs. in 2 day time with same agent. It went quite smoothly and she never made me feel stupid for messing it up. I would highly recommend them.

It may have seemed like I spent hours on your computer, I had a very busy day that kept me from spending 100% of my time on just your computer. We try to be a thorough as possible and correct any problems. The full cleanup only took about 3 hours to complete, but we were having issues keeping your internet going. It was very slow. Your internet went out, that caused us to have to work a second day to finish with the last few things of the cleanup. This is not always the case for all computers. Your computer also was running slower due to only having 1GB of RAM on a VISTA OS machine, and again the internet issues. Cleanups range in time from 1 hour to 3 hours, all depending on the speed of your internet connection, the speed of your computer, and the issues that arise. Again we appreciate your review of our company and hope that you will call us in the future if you have any issues, and refer us to friends and family, for their computer needs. Thank you again.

After Donna was finished, she notified me. But she did't just let me know that she had finished, she discussed some of the problems I had. Let me know some of the security measures she made and how to use them. The virus was gone and my computer was in good working order. I love working with Donna. She is very through and knowledgeable. She is also very patient with someone like me who is not so computer savy.
Description of Work: I had used Alexander Technical Services before and I was very pleased. This time, I had a computer virus. I went on Angies List to see what deals they were offering. I saw several offers. but I picked the one for $99.00 for 2 to three hours of service I figured It would need that amount to get rid of the virus. I was afraid to make the deal on-line (because of the virus) so I called the angie customer service number. A Guy there was able to help me with the deal. I called Alexander Technical service and he told me that someone would call me at 9am the next day. The next day , Donna called me just as he said and I described what trouble I was having.After the directions she gave allowed her to remotely work on my computer, all I did was wait until she notified me that she was done.
