I bought a package and I just an appointment with the gentleman. Basically, what happened was he handled my computer remotely and he downloaded a software program that automatically went to my computer and located two viruses and removed it. He also came into my computer and did some other stuff as part of the $80 package. He called me and spoke to me on the phone.

I called ATR and made an appointment for a computer clean up. Spencer called at the exact time of the scheduled appointment. He asked about the difficulties I was having and then went to work. Forty five minutes later my computer was working like it was brand new. Spencer was very professional.

Spencer was very patient in helping me connect to his service. My computer was painfully slow and unresponsive. After a few minutes of conversation, Spencer took over and cleaning up my computer. Now it works llike new again! I couldn't be happier with this service!

Initially there were a few snafu's where the wait was far longer than I was told to begin the screen-sharing session. But once it began I had full confidence and trust in Donna remotely navigating around in my computer. It's a great feeling to know that my computer is now free of any malware, virus, and not as slow-running as it was! Cannot beat the price! They hold an A Rating for a reason, they are trustworthy, efficient, and will answer any and all questions you may have. Spencer even offered that I could call back anytime if there were further questions or concerns. I will use them again!

We have been consulting with Spencer Alexander for several years now when issues have come up with our home computer. He was initially recommended to us by several neighbors when we needed help fixing our computer. We have been calling on him ever since. He has done computer repair and maintenance for us several times now. He has always provided great, prompt, service and we highly recommend him and his company.

My computer was very slow and a virus? or malware was popping up on my screen asking to download things. I am not technical, but I was able to explain the problem to a few local people well regarded by Angie's List. The local people needed me to bring in my computer and leave it for 24-48 hours. One person was so busy he could not even look at it for a week. I found Alexander on Angie's List in Boston. He is based in Atlanta. I was a little worried about giving him remote access to my computer. However, we made an appointment for him to call within a few hours, and the process went so smoothly. I could see on my screen the cleanup software working. I even went and cooked dinner while this was happening. After he debugged my computer we spoke on the phone and he logged out of my computer. The computer is working fast again, and I greatly appreciated the quick response and professional manner. I would definitely use him again! I did not have to leave my home, and the price was competitive with the local people who would need to keep my computer for a day or two.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. It went very well. They came out 2 or 3 weeks after I bought the deal.

This was the best experience I have ever had with a computer technician in both personal and professional dealings over more than a decade. I had been getting several error message and computer freeze ups with my Windows Vista (yuck) operating system. There were also problems with my game playing and Java. Donna called me promptly at the scheduled time and explained in detail what would happen. I gave her a list of all my complaints and turned my computer over to her. I did not have to be at the computer during her analysis. It took about 3 hours in all. When she was finished I asked all my questions, for example the best virus protection and malware to use, which she answered. We also discussed game playing sites and their problems. Her advice was invaluable and well worth the money I paid. I have never been happy with any of the computer repair people I have used in the past including those who come out to do the repairs to your residence. The outcome, no more error messages, no more problems playing games and a better knowledge of how to use Internet Explorer rather than the horrible MSN browser I have been using.

I was very impressed with the service I received and highly recommend them. I will defiantly call them in the future when the need arises. Thank you Donna for a job well done.

I decided to take advantage of a discounted price on this service that was on the Deals tab on this site. It had very good reviews. The idea of a remote service was very convenient as well. After purchasing it I got confirmation emails. My email to them was quickly answered. I also got a phone call from Donna. We scheduled the repair session. She called on time and the session began by typing in an address and going through some steps. She took over the computer & we reviewed the various programs on the computer. I did not need to be on the phone with her the whole time but was able to contact her if needed by a chat option. I watched how quickly she worked on the computer. I also observed how she went to CNet.com and used CCleaner.com and Malwarebytes-Anti malware to scan the computer. The Malware took the most time (almost an hour). I had mentioned previous difficulty downloading Internet Explorer 9. She attempted this and also had difficulty so she installed IE 10 (not all sites support this yet so beware). Since the session was running over 3 hours I had to leave. She stayed on and logged off while I was gone. When I returned the session had ended. I had a much faster computer!! I emailed Donna to ask what regular maintenance I should be doing to try to prevent the slowing that occurs over time. I was told to scan the computer with the Malware program that was downloaded once a month & contact them every 6 months or year. Having owned a computer for years now I cannot accept that answer. I know there is more to it than that. I run AVG everyday and try to do Disc Clean and check defrag once a month. Not satisfied I went to Cnet.com to research. I like to do as much preventive work myself. Without a coupon $200.00 once or twice a year gets pricey. Cnet has an article called "Spring cleaning tips to revive your Windows PC" that outlines a lot of what was done during the computer repair session. Granted some folks are not comfortable or do not have the time to do this work. Most people should be able to do some basics though. Overall they provide a good, convenient service & I definitely got my money's worth with the coupon (since the typical session is 2-21/2 hours). I cannot say that I would use them again without a coupon. I would want to research the price again. I also want to say that I expected a report or some kind of summary at the end & they did not offer one.

Awesome service! Donna provided loving, outstanding customer service and computer service! It took about 5 1/2 hours due to some additional complications and then she directed me to Symantec to get a special tool to remove a corrupted Symantec Endpoint Protection that refused to uninstall. Symantec sent it immediately and in minutes, i had the file out of my computer so I could reinstall a good copy. Computer is much faster and I am much happier! So thrilled with this company! Donna is a role model for customer service!

I haven't been able to get windows updates since buying this computer in Oct 2012. It always gave me a strange message and error number. Donna opened a session on my computer from her location in Atlanta and ran a few procedures and found, and fixed, the problem. Now I can get all the windows update easily. We hit a few snags along the way, but Donna kept her cool and worked through each problem in a very professional manner. I almost hope to have another problem so I can use this service again. They have my highest recommendation.

I purchased a coupon plan from Angie and within a couple of minutes after e-mailing them I was contacted by phone and an appointment set for 1pm the following afternoon. Promptly at 1pm the repair tech phoned, took over my computer and began her work. She asked me whether I used some items or if they could be removed. Was able to uninstall the ASK toolbar which somehow was installed on my computer and I was unable to delete. The computer was set to shut down, and restart. and I was instructed to contact them if necessary. Computer performance was much improved. Very pleased with the service. Will definitely recommend them and will use them again if necessary.

My computer had crashed and I didn't know what to do. Spencer walked me through the process of reinstalling the drivers and getting the computer up and running again. He asked appropriate questions about whether my data was backed up, and gave me good advice about next steps. He was extremely courteous and helpful, and I was so happy to have my computer running again. I didn't have to haul my computer to some shop where I don't know who might have had access to my private information. All the work occurred over the phone. After the computer was running again, I performed an additional back up on an independent medium and I'm planning on getting a new computer, based on the advice which Spencer gave me. This was a totally positive experience. I'd recommend this company to anyone.

Donna, the IT specialist, was prompt in calling for our scheduled appt. to remotely access my computer to address the origin of corrupt files and slowness of my computer system. The entire process took 2 hours from start to finish. Donna was most professional and answered all my questions. My computer issues were totally resolved. The cost of this service was 100.00 including an Angie's List coupon. I would highly recommend this company. This was the 2nd.time I had used this service over a 5yr. period, and have been very pleased both times.

Spencer was so good. He was great at explaining everything to me. He finished everything 10 minutes before his time was up. I was so impressed, I took the man's business card and will be calling him first for any future computer needs.

Extremely well. If you are in the habit of letting websites remember your passwords (e.g., selecting the "Remember me on this computer" option), then it will save you time later if you recover your passwords before Mr. Alexander repairs your machine. A suggestion: When you're up and running again, try NOT using the "Remember me on this computer" option and just memorizing your passwords. This reduces the number of "cookies" on your machine and helps keep it running at its best.

I contacted Alexander Technical Resources by phone, and a tech walked me through how to give him access to my laptop. I then watched as he took over and did a thorough clean-up of my computer, leaving me with a much faster and smoother running machine.
