The service went well. They did what they said they would. I had hoped to see some difference in my utility bills after the service but I have not. I had them encase a portion of the attic with insulation. Three technicians came out and completed the job in 5 hours. The technicians did professional job and were very knowledgeable. They did a great job cleaning up after themselves. The finished project was just the way they said it would be. I had no problem scheduling the deal.

The sales call was fine. David came to my home, talked to me about what problems I was having, and walked around my home with me explaining how heat loss works. Then we sat down and went over some materials he brought with diagrams showing what we'd discussed, and he gave me an overview of several solutions they offer with their pros and cons. In the end, I didn't feel pressured to make the sale, or to pick a particular product. It was more like David wanted to educate me on home energy efficiency, and then let me make the choice that was right for me. Once I made my decision, I communicated it to Sam, the scheduling contact. My timing apparently coincided with everyone else's: it was getting cold for the winter. Thus, the first appointment slot he could find for me was about 2 weeks out. This seemed reasonable, and Sam was very pleasant to work with. On the day of the installation, the crew arrived before sunrise, parking a pickup with a trailer in my driveway. They briefed me about what the process for installing spray foam insulation with ignition barrier was, and then immediately got started setting up their equipment. There was some thumping from the attic while they did their work, and a slight odor as the foam's chemical process occurred. I read online that some people with allergies can have problems with the curing process and should spend about 24 hours outside the home until the cure is complete, but I didn't have any problems with that, and the installers said it would be fine to stay. The installation took about 6 hours, with the two-man crew working straight through lunch to finish it as quickly as possible. Occasionally I'd wander out to the garage to check on their progress, and they were happy to to talk a bit about what they were doing. They seemed genuinely happy to be there in the 40 degree weather crawling around in attics. Apparently it's better than doing it in the summer. At the conclusion of the installation, the owner of Arbor arrived on the scene to see how it had gone. He looked over the installation and made sure I was completely satisfied with the work. I assured him I was, and we had a pleasant chat while the work crew cleaned up, leaving my home cleaner than when they had arrived. I made sure to keep my thermostat settings identical for the months prior to and after the installation so I could judge the effectiveness of the insulation. There were two aspects to this that were important to me. First, the cost. I monitor my energy bills closely. After adjusting for changes in gas price, fees, and temperature compared to the prior month and the same month the prior year, I'm seeing a 19% reduction in my heating costs. During the original sales visit, David had a rough estimate of 20%, which at the time seemed very high to me, but in my case it was almost spot on. The other consideration for me was how comfortable my home feels. Before the installation, there was a 15 degree difference in temperature between the warmest and coldest parts of the house. Now the difference is more like 10 degrees. This is not as much improvement as I was hoping for, but the cold parts of the home are the rooms with a lot of old drafty windows, which I believe are the main culprit. Overall, I was very happy with the professional, courteous service that I received every step of the way with Arbor, and would definitely recommend them.

They were great. We are also planning to use them for our attic insulation. They got the job done in one day. They did a good job with the cleanup.

Arbor Insulation is an excellent service provider. They were very prompt in courteous in all of their communications (setting up appointment, confirmation, reminders etc.) and the crew was very punctual and professional. I took advantage of one of the Angie List offers and they blew insulation in my attic.

It went well. They arrived on time, they cleaned up, and work professionally. They tested before and after to measure the improvement of the insulation, and they also repaired a tear in a vent hose. I am pleased with the results.

Overall price for services appear a little high. I will schedule the blown insulation that I have already paid for thru Angie List deal. There sales person gave me a price for a list of other items they could perform to fully insulate my attic but the price was a little high for me.

This company said they would not be able to do this work for me, as they would have to do too much demo to get the insulation in.

Went very well, they also gave me quotes on complete attic insulation but since I could not afford it yet they made recommendations for what was most important.

When I say I 'wouldn't use this provider in the future' it is only because, after this job is completed, I will have no further need for their services.

They did fine job on the attic insulation when I finally got them to show up for the insulation work. It took 2 1/2 months to actually get a hold of someone and have them out. They only recommended their products, not just general suggestions for work. It wasn't really an energy audit. I felt like the deal was a sales pitch for their product, but I did not have them do anything else. There were no additional fees associated with the deal.

I purchased this Big Deal for Attic Inspection, Plus a Whole Home Diagnostic Test for the 38 year old home we just purchased. There was barely an inch of ancient blown in insulation, so I felt we needed professional help. They were prompt in getting back to me to schedule an appointment for 10 days out. Don showed up on time. He was friendly and professional. He talked me through the entire process as he checked out the house from basement to attic. He then did a blower door test, explaining everything as he went. Afterwards he wrote up a thorough quote with recommendations to properly seal and insulate the house: air sealing, attic door tent, new blown-in insulation, spray foam, etc. I expressed that we couldn't afford to do everything all at once after just purchasing the home, and he explained how all of the services could be done individually and which services would get me the biggest benefit, though all work together to make an efficient and cozy home. I have not yet scheduled any additional work due to the holidays, but I plan on doing so in a few weeks.

All I want is for insulation to be blown in my attic. Contractor wants to come out and spend three hours doing energy assessment (I'm sure for the purpose of selling me more products & services) and then come back for a second appointment to blow in the insulation. I don't want the assessment or two appointments. I will just hire someone else to come blow insulation in my attic. Hugh Bond

The deal came with a free energy assessment, that I did not need or want. It was scheduled to take 2-3 hours of my time, and they refused to honor the deal without performing the assessment. That makes no sense to me.

I was under the impression I was purchasing and energy audit. I would define this as a comprehensive list of weaknesses, area of improvement, and step by step measures that someone could take to fix the issues. Instead I received a hard sell proposal. it seems a proposal/quote is something you do not pay for. I feel this was a major bait and switch.

After I purchased the deal, I never got any confirmation for a couple of days. I had made another purchase in the same order and that vendor confirmed the order immediately and I have scheduled the works as well but not so with Arbor. I contacted them thru email and then called them. Finally a man picked up the phone and stated that the folks are on a job and that someone will call me back - I am still waiting.

Very well. On time, great work.

Arrived on time that morning. Worked to seal duct work in basement first. Sealed what I paid for but also other smaller areas that they knew needed sealing too. Very courteous throughout their time here. Diligent clean up after finishing both jobs.

When he got in the crawlspace he realized the smallest space was too small, therefore he could not guarantee the work.

The service providers were A+ from start to finish. The job was a difficult one and required extra diligence to cover all the extra surfaces. I heard not a single complaint. The portion of my basement that was involved looks like new. The basement smells cleaner, is cleaner than ever before. Now all I have to do is clean up the rest of the area! Thanks for the referral.

I purchased a Big Deal for $500 worth of insulation, knowing I needed additional attic insulation because we had been told by several inspectors that we were far below code. A representative from Arbor came to our house on a Saturday afternoon to do an inspection of our house energy efficiency, including a blower-door test (included with the Big Deal). He explained their services and gave us a detailed estimate for various options. We chose to remove our existing (minimal) insulation because it was very old and soiled with rodent droppings, as well as to have them install new insulation after sealing up our cracks and air leaks. I gave the representative my information and he told me that someone would call me in a few days to schedule the work. The representative called me back on Monday because he needed me to fax him a copy of the estimate/work order that I had signed, since the scan he took at our house was apparently unreadable. A few days after I did that, I received a call from the main office to schedule the work. The next available date was in approximately two weeks, which was fine for my schedule. Initially they scheduled the job for two days, but it ended up only taking one day. The crew arrived on time and was very courteous and professional. I was able to leave the house and go into the office for several hours while they were working in the attic. They took my Georgia Power customer information so they could submit rebates for the work (for several hundred dollars)--they take care of the paperwork and I am supposed to receive a check directly from Georgia Power (still waiting, but it's only been a few weeks). The added insulation and sealing made a huge difference--the house is much warmer and feels less drafty than before. The only negative part of the experience (apart from the prices, which seemed a bit on the high side) is that the installation crew knocked down the cable line between my house and the utility pole when they pulled their truck out of my driveway to leave for the day. Fortunately, this did not immediately affect me because I do not currently have cable service, but Arbor agreed to pay for the cost of having the cable company put a new line up.

The insulation was placed in my attic on time without incident. The man was professional and was very efficient.

Arbor Insulation visited our home and agreed to blow insulation into a small area of our attic. This was in response to an inspection report - we were set to close on the house on 9/30. The Friday before closing (set for the following Monday), they called us to let us know they were not able to complete the visit due to another job, and the soonest they could visit would be 10/8 or 10/13. This clearly wouldn't work. In the end, we ended up getting a different insulation company to come out and resolve the issue. Arbor Insulation did call on Saturday letting us know they had a cancellation and could fit us in in the afternoon, but by that time we had secured another company and didn't feel we could trust them to complete the job in the timeframe we had. I think they are likely a very good insulation company if time is not of the essence and you can survive a change in plans. If you really need work completed on time without any shuffling, tread carefully.

Did not provide service as we cancelled the appointment. We re-evaluated the project and discovered that it would cost approximately $600 vs. the initial $149. Going to consider other options.

Originally it was a little rocky with the scheduler, but once everything was confirmed it went smoothly.
