Description of Work: Contracted Arbor Insulations to help with "Air Sealing" my home, specifically the attic area of my home as the builder who built the home did such a poor job in insulating it. | |Overall, the work they performed was done within a single day. The crew was very professional (young, but professional) and did a thorough job of sealing the sill plates in the attic between walls, sealing my trey ceilings in the 2 1/2 story hallway, bedroom treys, adding additional blown in insulation where required and air sealing around other holes in the attic ceiling. This included a thermal cover for my attic staircase and whole home ventilation fan. Overall, a very professional job (for an area of the home you can't see and most can't appreciate). The net result, I have definitely seem a nice reduction in my heating and air conditioning bills as a result of having this work performed (~$35-$50/per month). This may not seem like a big savings but the work will pay for itself within a 4-5 year time frame and net benefits beyond that longer term. | |I would highly recommend Arbor Solutions for your insulation and air sealing needs. Most homes don't realize how much air you are losing which causes your furnace and A/C system to run continuously due to the heat/cold loss through your attic.

Description of Work: I received an estimate one year ago. I called the company to ask them comfort to come back out and redo the estimate and look at the space again. The estimator would not do it. He also was not upfront about the fact that they increased the price by more than 300% from last October. I told him the quoted price on the phone and he just kept asking me questions that were not relevance to what I was asking him. Furthermore when I kept repeating what I wanted he asked to speak to my husband instead of taking me seriously. I would never work with a company who treats women so does her best disrespectfully.

+ 0 moreThese guys were great. They are a Georgia Power contractor, so if you do your insulation with them you are eligible for an extra $400 rebate that you can't get from other companies. They got there at 8:30 am and did not leave until almost 8 that night, getting things perfect so we could get the rebate. I left them there all day when I was at work and felt completely comfortable the whole time. They even fixed a pretty significant hole in the ceiling in my shed. They were also very honest in saying that there were cheaper (and also a bit less effective) options if I didn't want to spend all that money right now. I would recommend them to anyone looking to have some insulation work done. We have an older home and HVAC system, and can already tell a significant difference in the temperature of the home.
Description of Work: They did a complete "attic seal" and took our insulation up to an R 49 all for $2200 with $700 in rebates. This included putting some sort of seal on all of our lights, sockets, and plugs, as well as closing up any places where air could potentially be getting in/out.
