It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. It was good but what they wanted to do was very expensive so I didn't end up purchasing anything else. They did what they said they were going to do and it was fine but the service they wanted was way beyond my scope. It was around $4,000 for what they wanted to do. They came as soon as I was able to do it. The guy seemed fine but it was much more expensive than I thought it was going to be. It was something I was interested in but I was unaware of how expensive it was. I did not have more work done but that was only because of the price. They came when they said they were going to come. They told me where things were leaking. They did what they said they were going to do but their price was high. The price for the deal was ridiculously cheap but it was their teaser for getting in. I wouldn't use them because of the price; it was just out of reach.

Please look elsewhere. The day that Arbor Insulation Solutions was in my home, my diamond ring and a couple other pieces of jewelry disappeared. There were 4 workers that I invited into my home that day. I was here in the house with them, although I was on the first floor all day while they were on the second floor and attic. The jewelry disappeared from an upstairs bedroom and I can say it wasn't sitting out in the open. I filed a police report and contacted the company. Unfortunately the owner, Scott Obsborne, chose not to take any responsibility. Sadly, I can't say good things about the service they provided either. They sold me on high expectations to stop losing air but showed disappointing results after testing. Not at all worth the risk.

Richard came out and provided us with lots of information about the various options; provided a quote. They were very easy to work with -- we had several delays because of the drywall contractors, which meant that Arbor's team had to be rescheduled. They stayed in contact with us, and when we were ready, came out on the day and they said they would; did the work they said they'd do (and a little more!) for the price they quoted. Pleasant and efficient crew cleaned up after themselves. Sam and Richard both called to follow up on our satisfaction. And satisfied we are.

We had purchased a big deal for the service, and it went great. They were very friendly and ontop of everything. They were professional, and the guy who came out was very nice.

They came out Saturday and did an audit. I'm currently waiting for the report that they do. They are good people and were a pleasure to work with. They did a very thorough job and it certainly wasn't just a sales visit.

Actually, I"d give them an A+. They were amazing. They were extremely knowledgeable but did not try to 'push' anything on me. They did what I asked and made suggestions and provided options. IT was higher end b/c I wanted to seal my ducts, which are old. After they completed their work, they re-tested and found my efficiency had improved 40%. My gas bills dropped accordingly. I didn't do this to save money, but to do my part for improving energy use in a 50+ year old house, but the drop in costs is a nice bonus. I'd highly recommend them, as it's hard to find folks as knowledgeable and honest to do this sort of work!

It went well. We are still deciding if we are going to choose them for the energy efficiency work. They were very professional and enthusiastic about their work.

The owner called to apologize for a bad encounter I had with a new employee. Scott was very professional and told me that he did not expect to earn my business, but he researched what happened and wanted to assure me that this employee was not representative of his company as a whole. The employee was let go, and Scott came by the next day to give me an estimate to insulate a bonus room. He was knowledgable, friendly and gave me a few options to fix my problem. There are many good reviews about this company on Angie's list, and i appreciate the owner reaching out to correct a bad situation so I will be hiring him to do the job. I expect that everything will go smoothly because I have not gone wrong with Angie's list yet.

Very well. The owner and his associate arrived and explained the process, what I can expect and next steps. The owner was patient and provided a lot of information about heat and cool loss as well as best practices for insulating a home. He also provided advise of things I could do on my own. His analysis report did not arrive as promised, but did after I followed with a call. Plan to use again in the future.

We have one heating/air system for all three levels of our house. We finally fixed our problem with cooling the second floor bedrooms. We used to set the thermostat, (we only have one and it is on the first floor), at 70 degrees and the upstairs bedrooms would not get below 74 degrees. We had Arbor encapsulate the entire attic and the second floor rooms are 2-3 degrees cooler than the first floor and basement areas. I found Arbor Insulation Solutions through Angie's List. They did a blower-door test to measure the total air leakage and they used an infrared camera to show where cold air is leaking into the attic. It turns out there is a lot of air leakage in a 1969 house. The big culprits are recessed lights - we have over 50 of them. Even though they are "sealed" units, they still leak a lot of cold air into the hot attic - and the reverse in the winter. The second issue was the knee walls in the attic - we have a Cape Cod style house with a walk-in attic. The bedroom walls adjacent to the attic area were several degrees warmer than the exterior walls of the house. They installed foil-faced Dow Thermax board on the exposed knee walls for insulation and sealed the seams with foam and foil tape. Another issue was the airducts in the attic. The old insulation was not sealed and was missing in some places. The large gaps around the chase from the basement had cold air blowing into the attic. They sprayed the entire duct with closed cell foam insulation which seals and insulates at the same time. I really liked working with Scott and Sam at Arbor. They are very cost and energy conscious and they do not recommend using unproven radiant barriers, whole house fans, power attic vents or adding another HVAC system. Their goal is keep the cool air in and the hot air out - by stopping the airflow. The total cost of the duct sealing, attic penetration sealing, knee wall insulation and adding additional insulation to bring it up to R60 - was $3,000. They filled out the forms for the Georgia Power rebates and we're expecting to get $550 back in rebates; in addition to some federal tax credits. I am an avid do-it-your-selfer and I thought about doing the work myself. The thought of crawling through a foot of fiberglass insulation to find and foam every light fixture, wire hole and wall partition - in a 125+ degree attic - did not sound like fun. It took 3 guys a full day to do the work which means I'd be crawling around the attic for 3 days to save a few hundred bucks! They were very meticulous and cleaned up before they left.

Test went well and professional. However, the report was over a month late, and was not complete. Did not include picture/commentary of all locations tested.

Good, thorough evaluation of home. focused only on insulation and sealing up the house. Since its an insulation company and they gave a deal to test, I can see why they would. The cost will be to high to do what they suggest and will take to long for a return on the investment.

I used them through a big deal on Angie's List. It was fine; no complaints with that. They did what they said they were going to do. They were very prompt. I probably will call them back to do some insulation work.

They provided several valuable suggestions. The final report was late and was not as detailed as I would have liked.

Arbor Insulation conducted an energy audit and made recommendations to quelch the drafts in our family room. We have not acted on the recommendations, but plan to soon.

Great service. Scott was great to work with. On time, and his crews knew what to do. Drywall crew did an excellent job repairing ceiling where attic fan was removed.

Provider did their part in contacting us promptly. We have not yet followed up with them to schedule the home energy audit and will do this soon. They did make it a point to contact us the day the coupon was purchased so A+ to them for customer focus.

They arrived on time and with a clean, professional appearance. They were mindful of their shoes on the carpet. We decided to have our attic sealed, insulation added and a few other items. They were quick, efficient and cleaned up before they left. We've noticed an immediate difference in the comfort level of our home as a result of the work Arbor Insulation Solutions performed.

They were punctual and very professional. They took their time and did a thorough job. They told me when the report would be ready and it arrived by e-mail on time. I was very impressed with the report and this company overall. The report was very comprehensive and gave us a detailed level of information. I would not hesitate to use this company again.

An inspection of the entire house, including attic, was done to determine where we were loosing heat, amount of insulation, etc.

I was very pleased with the audit, and I already have saved money by not doing some of changes I was planning/ considering doing to improve energy efficiency. I anticipate by reducing air infiltration into/out of the house that we will be able to reduce both energy consumption and energy bills. I was pleased with the service provided, and I have already recommended that my daughter who lives about 2-3 miles from me in another subdivision contact them for an estimate of cost to conduct an energy audit in her home.

Best insulation service in Atlanta! We talked with other insulation, windows, and heating & cooling companies. Scott was the first person who gave it to me straight! Let me know what to do, in what order, and what would give me the most return on my investment. Very knowledgeable, professional, friendly, punctual and affordable. I highly recommend them!

I would not spend the money again for the service.

They arrived a little after 8 am and 6 guys (including Scott)- 2 sealing the upper attic and 1 putting in the knee wall. When they 1st arrived Sam tested the "air sealant" in our house by putting a blower door on our front door. The test took about 30-40 mins. They do the test when they 1st arrive and then after all the work is done to see what your improvement is with the new insulation and sealant. Sam seemed well informed and was quick and effective with his communication of this process. Two of the other guys put in R-49 insulation and air sealed the attic which took about 5-6 hours. One person put in the knee wall he did a great job. Another person was in the truck putting the insulation in a tube to be blown up to the guys in the attic. Scott was there in the morning and came back in the afternoon to make sure we were happy with the work. I was apprehensive with going with them because of the cost but now I do not regret it. They did a great job and we definitely feel a big difference upstairs with not feeling so cold/hot upstairs and we don't have to put the thermostat up so high/low to get the same effect as all the previous years. Also, Arbor did such a good job we got $700 rebates back from Georgia Power and also $200 per the coupon they had on Angie's list. We will use them again when we seal under the house.

Scott and his co-worker that came out and were very nice and informative. Did a very thorough energy analysis. Had a blower test done several years ago and Scott was much better and has very reasonable rates to help get my home more energy efficient.
