Description of Work: The service was provided through my Home Warranty company, so there was no cost. The technician, Dave, was excellent. He was very prompt, extremely friendly, and thorough. He has continued to help with other problems over the phone. I would highly recommend their services.

Description of Work: My A/C is under warranty and this was the company they used to repair my A/C. I went over 7 days without A/C because of the owner being unprofessional and not returning calls or emails. The employees were great and professional and timely....problems were all on the owner of the company.

Description of Work: Ken personally returned my voicemail within two hours. He offered a broad window of when someone might arrive; it was broad because he and his assistant were both tied up on other jobs. I called him back when my availability changed and he worked with me to get someone to come to my house even though it meant rearranging other work. I appreciated that level of effort, especially for what was a minor repair (bad capacitor). The level of expertise and professionalism was all I expected, especially when they did a complete system checkout along with the repair and pointed out some things about my A/C that I didn't know. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again.

Description of Work: Technician Joe was very thorough and took the time to explain what he was doing, as well as the implications of certain conditions of the equipment. This was not a hard sell, he performed the contracted service and gave an estimate for recommended future work. Then he said the office would call to schedule the recommended service if I wanted it. There was plenty of time to get additional estimates. I will definitely use Ken Barrett A/C in the future.

Description of Work: New ac and furnace install. Worked closely with me very patient accommodating fair ethical and high standards. Another contractor stole my deposit and Mr. Barrett was more than helpful...went out if his way to get me on my feet again. Highly recommend.

Description of Work: Replaced split system units. Service completed within reasonable time, very professional, and the tech and owner were honest. Price was amazingly low, roughly half of other bids. Did a good job cleaning up following completion. So far, so good with the units. Will definitely call them from now on for HVAC issues. Thanks!

Description of Work: My last A/C guy did a reasonably good job, but due to heath problems went out of business. Problem: noticed on the evening of 6.17.13 the A/C, although set on 76 was registering 79 and wouldn't go lower. I called Ken the next morning ~ 6:30pm that same day two service techs arrived. Joe, the lead tech assessed the problem as a leak in the system, added some freon and told me to contact Ken to schedule an appointment to have the leak repaired.... the added freon would get me by until then. Problem was the house still would still not get lower than 80 degrees.... until late (well after dark). 6.18.13; 8:30am I called Ken went to voice mail... left a message. Joe, (Service Tech) called me ~10:30, met me at the house and completed the leak repair and fully recharged the system. Was very please with the Joe, the lead service tech. Joe took the time to discuss the problem with me and even schooled me about air filters and their proper replacement.

Description of Work: I have been calling for A/C repair estimates..every single person I called on Angie's List has been nothing but completely professional. I wish I could say the same for Ken Barrett. Not only did he pick up the phone rudely, he was condescending and completely unprofessional when I asked for a quote. I was not expecting a free visit. I wanted to see who could provide me with a decent price and his price was decent but due to his unprofessionalism, I will advise people NOT to call this place!

Description of Work: Friday evening our upstairs AC quit working. We called Ken early Saturday morning, and they came just a few hours later. It was just a capacitor.

Description of Work: Our a/c was leaking again into my son's bedroom. The contractor came on a Sunday evening from 30 minutes away at 10pm at night to help ensure we had a working a/c and aid us in cleaning up the mess. He didn't even charge us overtime. He was professional, helpful and incredibly reasonable.

Description of Work: Our A/C was leaking and Dave, the very knowledgeable service person, came out and helped us flush and vac out drainpipe. He also helped us fix a few minor issues with the initial install, as well as teach us as he went so we would know how the system worked and how to respond in future. Despite a 45 minute+ drive he came out on a weeknight, over our concerned objections and was punctual and professional to the T :)
